We booked for a week. We checked in man was nice, got taken to our room to be welcomed by yellow stained walls. Stains on pillows to the point me and my partner had to use our clean clothes as pillow cases. The fridge was yellow. There was damp and mould stains on the ceiling, wallpaper coming apart and the smell wasn’t great. We had 2 single beds after paying for a double room. But due to the unclean beds we had to share one single bed. As a pregnant woman. It was not safe to stay. We stayed one night. And had to pay for another hotel which left us more out of pocket. The noise from the out side and from the inside of the hotel. Dogs barking. Staff shouting. The bathroom was a hazard. Sit on the loo and your foot is in the shower. Absolutely no hot water whatsoever. Didn’t want to challenge these issues, due to the reviews and commments online with them being hostile and abusive to communicate with. Alll in all. It was not a great experience. Possibly the most uncomfortable stay I’ve ever experienced. Defiantly not worth the stay.

Travelled alone but as I had previously lived in Altinkum for 16 years , I was basically looking for a hotel that was in good location close to bars where I could meet up with friends and The SAADET hotel didn’t disappoint. It’s 10 min walk downhill or 200 tl taxi ride to the beach where plenty bars & restaurants are available . The room was in need of some renovation , but everywhere was very clean with maid service & clean towels everyday . Air conditioning was an extra at £5 a night & if you wanted fridge that was an additional charge also . There is a nice pool area which was very relaxing and Baris and family are very helpful. I enjoyed my stay and am booked to return in October.

For a budget hotel, i’d say it’s less than satisfactory. Additional cost: Aircon- Machine is by brown and dated. Bleeps like crazy and turns off every 10 minutes and floods the dresser underneath it. You pay £5 a day and it makes the room no cooler. You cannot leave it on throughout the day even tho you have paid for the day as you have to leave the card that is welded to your room key in the holder for the electricity to work. Fridge- You have to pay £5 a day for this “extra” as the switch on the circuit board outside your room is turned off unless you pay. However it does mean that in your room other than this socket you have 1 socket to be able to charge any devices. You can’t leave any devices on charge either as the card that turns on the electricity has to go out with you. The beds are rock hard and the pillows are either rock hard or we had 1 soft one. If you left the do not disturb sign on your room the cleaners will ignore it and bang your door down anyways as it seems they want to be finished by lunch time/ early afternoon. if you leave the do not disturb on whilst you go out they will enter your room anyways and move all your stuff around. we felt it was unnecessary for the cleaners to go in everyday. The rooms were cleaned to a good standard but the phrase polishing a turd comes to mind. The actual hotel is very dated, the wallpaper is peeling off all the walls and patch worked over old wallpaper. Skirting boards are falling off and in general dated decor. In my sisters room, the towel rail fell off, bathroom bulb blew and door hinges snapped off. The bathroom was very very small, the size of two people stood side by side, no room to manoeuvre. The shower was very small and had a bath shower head with minimal pressure it was either stone cold or boiling hot. you couldn’t move the shower head without it falling off to prevent it from flooding the bathroom every single time it was used. The shower curtain meant the water just continued to flood out even with a 1-2 minute shower. Quite pointless to pay for the fridge as having your own food and drink within the hotel is frowned upon by the owner and you will be made to feel guilty for bringing it in with filthy looks. The owner will tell you off for having your own drinks by the pool even though the selection offered at the hotel is minimal. We didn’t try any food offered at the hotel other than the breakfast as we felt putting more money into the hotel was not worth it as it quite obviously wasn’t put back into the hotel for the guest’s satisfaction. The breakfast was minimal, a dated toast machine with butter, cornflakes, fruit and boiled eggs that were green inside so we ate outside the hotel from the first day. The town nearby is beautiful and has lots of shops were they will all encourage you go in and food is excellent prices within the town. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the town and a steep hill return to the hotel so well worth the £4 (200 lira) taxi back to the hotel

Absolutely lovely family-run hotel! Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was the same each day but fresh, well-stocked, and the watermelon was especially tasty. It was quite warm during my stay, but I didn’t use the A/C as I’m not a fan—so the cool showers were a nice treat. The reception area was always staffed, and the pool and bar areas were clean and well looked after. Staff were great at clearing away glasses and plates promptly. Baris, the owner, is kind and full of helpful suggestions. There were several solo travellers staying at the same time, and it was lovely to chat with them by the pool in the evening. Location is great as only a 10 minute walk to the main town and beach area, but there are also some nice local cafes, shops and bars close by. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, thank you for a fantastic holiday!
