Nazar Otel in Didim

Arrived at Nazar on the 1st July Biggest problem no fridge in room , when you need injections it’s not the best and also 37* weather cold drinks are essential. Walls are very thin and you can hear everything and I mean everything ! Couldn’t get a Sunbed round the pool any morning . Room s basic but clean ( maid is lovely ) Not allowed any drinks or food to be brought back to room ( terrible idea) Breakfast standard but boring . Checking out @12pm and coach isn’t till 7pm, been asking for 3 days to keep room on to be told this evening not available and I understand that but not to provide any sort of room to wash and change after spending your morning in this weather is shocking. ! Bags left in reception but never anyone actually on there to watch them . None one wants to end their holiday sweaty and smelly if they want to go out on the last day other option is to stay in for 7 hrs waiting for coach in the reception . Thank goodness this was a cheap holiday ! Booked to come back to Turkey twice this year and I have to say I’m glad it’s not here.

This hotel is in a great location, but that's the only good thing about it, very 80s, needs to have a complete renovation. No coat hangers, asked three times, finally got some. On arrival they gave us the a/c remote, we just resumed it was included in the price, as they never asked if we wanted it, £8.00 a night but you needed it when it's 36, outside, it's was broken, see pic, complained god knows how many times, promised they would come up, never saw anyone. The flap was broken so you couldn't direct the cold air, so if you don't mind walking up with a stiff neck, you'll be fine, we did find the broken flap, on top of the wardrobe so my husband put it back together, using cardboard to hold it in, not ideal. Bathroom minute and feels grubby, I'm gluten and dairy free, they don't cater for any allergies, so I went over to the local shop and got what I could eat, they didn't say anything but in afraid tough if they didn't like it, none of the food is covered up, so the flies, which there are many, just hop along the trays of food, lovely, if you want a cheap holiday and can look past the issues, your may be happy there

Didn't like this place at all. Rooms are quite small. Bathroom was very small with things hanging off the wall. One day the shower head fixture fell off. Luckily my friend is a bit of a handy man and improvised a tool and managed to screw it back on. They'd have probably charged us for breaking it if he hadn't. However it wasn't perfect it was a case of have a shower but do not touch the shower head. I think they use solar to heat the water because it was cold all day and only hot for an hour or so in the evening. And the pressure wasn't great. The beds were acceptable nothing special. And the balcony door kept derailing. As you'd expect the tv was all in Arabic. The pool area was small and most of it was in the shade all day. Some of the sun loungers could do with replacing. One of the worst things about this place is it's right next door to a sewage works. And every now and them you'd get a strong wiff of it. It was stomach churning. Wouldn't be the best place to chill if you were hungover. Breakfast was very basic and didn't vary much from day to day. Also they're very strict on when you can eat there. A few times I seen people being told off for taking food a couple of minutes early. Why does it matter for christ sake? And at the end of Breakfast the food is taken away on time. Not a second later. They seriously need to chill out on that matter it not good. Staff weren't very friendly. Didn't get to know any of them during our entire stay. I've never had that at any hotel we've stayed at before. Usually you're sad to say goodbye to staff when you leave but not here. You're not allowed to bring your own food and drink into the hotel. And they watch you like a hawk. On more than one occasion I notice them looking at the bags I was bringing in. It was half expecting them to ask if they could check them. A couple of other things. They only give you one door key on arrival and if you ask for another they say no. Ask your rep they'll get you one. The lift is is small. The ramp from the street to reception is steep. I can see that some people have left good reviews and that's to be expected. Some people are easily pleased and some aren't. There was 12 of us in our party and we weren't.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. No fridge in your rooms or a kettle to make a tea or coffee. The AC is also chargeable at £8.00 per day and paid weekly (£56) and they cut the AC unit after 157 hours not 168 hours. Also; one evening, they had turned off the hot water boiler so I couldn’t have a shower, the hotel pool is situated directly next door to a water sewage plant! The room offered to me had mould stains on the wall and a toilet brush lying on the shower floor! Your towels and bed are made only every three days. I also saw a cockroach on the inside of pool door directly close to breakfast food that was not covered. Also there was a cockroach that crawled under my room door and I had to take evasive action to remove it! Avoid this ‘Fawlty Towers’ hotel like the plague!
