Fidan Hotel & Apartment in Marmaris

The dirtiest place I have stayed in. We visit Marmaris twice a year and this place is shocking and unsafe with electrical wires sticking out if wall. I got an electric shock off of the hob.
The room was filthy with ripped curtains and the sofa was so old and dirty

We stayed for a week commencing last Saturday, upon arrival the room was filthy , the floors hadn’t been cleaned, there was poo on the wall in the bathroom and the balcony floor was sticky and dirty. We immediately asked reception to have the room cleaned who advised they would whilst we were out. When we returned the room it was still dirty and not touched. We had to go to the local supermarket and buy our own cleaning supplies and sanitised the room. There was a filthy cot pushed up against the bed and the mattress was dirty/broken By Thursday we noticed our bed sheets had not been changed in 3/4 days and were covered in stains. When we requested for these to be changed, stained bedding was put back onto the bed When we again had to go to reception and advise the room hadn’t been cleaned, they told us they were still waiting on our air conditioning payment, which they had asked for in cash which is why we hadn’t paid it yet. When asked if we could pay card as we don’t carry cash she was very reluctant. She agreed to let us pay via card but only with an additional service charge, even though 2 of our guests are Turkish residents and have Turkish bank cards so there was no transaction fee. The hotel has a great location and we were looking forward to staying however the lack of hygiene and attitude of some of the staff means I would not stay again They had also sent a member of staff to inspect our room along with 2 of the cleaners who seemed to think the state of the room was quite funny and commented that the cleaners just don’t like doing their job, which seemed like a poor excuse

Cleanliness - 0 (it was easy to find hairs everywhere, near the beds and in the bath).
Not everyone from the 5 persons of the group had their bath towels available.
There is no parking spots available.
The bedsheets were not enough to cover an entire person as well to make the person warm.
One more hotel in turkey that advertises “X” cost for a night and that accepts payments with card on platforms like Expedia/booking. When you arrive they insist to collect the payment in cash and if you insist to pay with card to not withdraw all the amount and avoid ATM taxes they charge you fees for the credit card (when we choose properties like this on vacation websites such as booking is to avoid this type of scam behavior and they shouldn’t collect any amount different than your booking confirmation says to respect this website’s policy). Whenever, a regular experience in turkey. To avoid, be aware of this practice consulting in advance the reviews.
