Selimiye Lime Garden Otel in Selimiye

The room smelled terribly of sewage...it came from the bathroom drain. We put something over it ourselves (a trash can) to reduce the smell. It was a large, spacious room with a beautiful view of the bay.
Housekeeping wasn't provided; after four days, we asked if it would be cleaned. The answer was, "Yes, if you want it, it's possible." Cleaning wasn't automatic, so we had to request it. After the cleaning, our feet were still black because the floor was apparently dirty.
There were lots of wasp nests on the building; it would be better if these were removed, as you'd be faced with an invasion of wasps during breakfast.
The breakfast was really excellent, with a different side dish every day: börek, omelet, and cheese sticks. We were very happy with it, it was delicious.
The hotel could definitely be made more inviting; it's a bit dull, with not much to make it feel inviting. It's a shame, because it's a beautiful place. The pool looks clean, but the lounge chairs around the pool need replacing.
The owners and staff are friendly. The lady who helped with breakfast was especially kind.
The mattress on the double bed sagged terribly and needs replacing.
Make sure you come by car, as the hotel is quite far from the center of Selimiye.
Beautiful location in the mountains. Phenomenal view.
We had an okay time, but didn't think it was fantastic. We've stayed at nicer, cleaner hotels in Selimiye.
