Turunç Dream Hotel in Turunc

If your going to stay in this hotel make sure you get everything in writing twice, don’t be fooled by the make over either, the reception at this hotel if they are opening their mouths they are lying. I have one of the rarest illnesses in the world, due to this, this has messed up every part of my body, I am post Cushing Syndrome and now have Addisons, also post op of 7 weeks from a stomach and bowel operation.when we booked this hotel we were the first ones to book a room as we had our pick of rooms, so we pick a room with a wrap around terrace we booked it until the 10th but decided to stay longer, we informed two people on reception that we were staying, they asked do we want the same room and oh course we said yes, two days after this we got a text to say we had to change our room as the person who owns the hotel wants our room, we picked another room to move to but then found out that she had dropped a boobed and told another couple who came after us that they could have the room. The only reason we was moving was she said that it was the hotel owner who wanted the room, when we found out it was two holiday makers like us, same money we said we were not moving, then we got that we must move over and over again, said we were rude, she even said she was the manager of the hotel when in fact they had someone who was standing in to look after the hotel, we went to him last night and showed him we had it in writing about extending the room and also we have in writing that we were the first to book as it was quiet, we woke up this morning again to her knocking on the door saying we had to get out again, apparently this royal couple who she was so scared of telling them they can’t have the room and it will be free of the 15th of May, she was relentless and wouldn’t go away. In the end we have got our money back and a friend who we have made has found us a nice family run hotel right on the sea front. We have been coming to Turkey since 1999 and our children have grown up coming to Turkey and I can honestly say it’s the worst experience we have had so if you are thinking about staying here do your homework as well because some rooms drains stinks as two ladies were in the process of changing rooms. We have never been treated as bad as we have on this holiday. One thing I will say the young man behind the bar imir was lovely, friendly and was trying to get to grips with the English language. This was suppose to be a relaxing and a rest from an operation that went wrong. How wrong we were x

I don't recommend this hotel!

I don't even know where to start from. It's my 3rd trip to Turunc. In August 2020 I fell in love with it's nature: gorgeous mountains and crystal sea. Stay in this hotel ruined my impression about this place. I'm staying here right now till Oct 17 and I'm shocked that I'm looking forward to leaving this place.

The lady manager told me that I have to wash the towels myself! Can you imagine? She added that if I don't do that (make them white again) I'd be accused of spoiling the hotel's property. The story behind is that there were pink dye stains on the towels. I said to the lady manager that the color can be washed out (I was sure of that because I washed the towels at home). To this she responded 'Ok, then do this (wash the towels yourself), otherwise you'll have to pay'. I wonder if this is their conception. For me that's not acceptable that I'm asked to wash the towels myself. I even don't mention the manner how she spoke to me!

Later I spoke the owner, I expected a sorry but the manner he spoke to me was quite rude. He said ok we will wash it and the stains don't get removed you will have to pay. Your money is my money he said.

The waiters are not friendly. They do you a favour when they clean your table. They give you tiny food portion and you always have to ask for more. The food if poor.

Rest rooms are stinky.

My friends checked out and had to stay in the hotel because of the evening transfer. They were not allowed to the food and drinks, they had to pay.

You can get water till 22:30. You can't get water later that time. The owner said that we have to remember to either buy or take the water in the bar. Please note this is water, not soda or alcohol.

The lady manager seems to get commission from the hotel guides when they sell tours to the tourists. We bought a boat trip from a local seller because the hotel's guide offered a rather hight price ($35 per person vs $15). On that day she ask how many of us are going on the boat trip. I wonder why she asked that?

I really feel so uncomfortable because of the overall treatment. I feel uneasy to ask for anything. I'm afraid that by doing anything I'll break the rules. I feel not welcome here. I might agree that it's the end of season and everyone is tired but that's not an excuse
