Cratus Stone Palace in Goereme

Cratus Stone Palace was kind enough to allow us for an early check in. They responded to my questions thru whatsapp. The double room was spacious and clean.  It was snowing on the second day and the room heater was perfect. The floor could be heated too. Breakfast (Mediterranean) was superb. Cratus is also near to restaurants and shops. Kettle, tea and coffee were provided inside the room. This is an excellent hotel, even better than some hotels in Istanbul. Perfect 10! 🤩

The hospitality was beyond anything we expected and Mete truly stood out as the star of our stay. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel instantly at home and every request was met with a smile and efficiency. Buse also provided outstanding service with her hospitable attitude. The entire team reflected the same warmth and politeness, creating an atmosphere where you feel truly valued as a guest. The restaurant was outstanding with the dishes not being only delicious but also very aesthetically pleasing and beautifully presented, and the entire property was spotless, very clean! And the location is great you can walk anywhere in minutes.

I loved my stay at this hotel, everything was amazing. The room, breakfast, the actual restaurant, and most of all the staff. Everything was exceptional and they went above and beyond to make sure my stay was wonderful. I wouldn't stay anywhere else and will come back here if I come back

Absolutely loved it here! Staff were so nice and helpful with booking tours and transfers to and from the airport for us! They even assisted us in retrieving our bags after the airport misplaced them and helped us to communicate with the airport staff which I believe made a big difference in getting our bags back quicker! Cannot recommend it enough we felt right at home and taken care of so well❤️ amazing rooftop for balloon’s in the morning as well!!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Cappadocia. We went to spend my friend's birthday with the hope of going up in the hot air balloons, and although the weather didn't allow it, we had a great time. The staff went out of their way to make it special: they surprised us with a birthday cake and made the day beautiful.
The receptionist was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. She helped us with everything we needed and always greeted us with a smile. The room was cozy, clean, and had a real charm.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you so much for the incredible hospitality. We will definitely recommend this place to everyone!

It’s worth the money so go for it. Breakfast is a huge spread and they serve it nice and hot. Their restaurant has the perfect view so we had breakfast with a view each day we were there. Their hospitality is amazing, they take care of everything right from the moment you check in. The rooms are fully equipped and clean. It’s right on the main market with good parking space. Walking distance from Goreme main market. Hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this 100%

I have been to so many hotels around the world but the hospitality here is unbeatable. The staff is so polite and caring, they suggest genuine places to visit and restaurant to eat. The breakfast have such a wide variety and so amazing. Overall ill rate this hotel as 11 out of 10. We were here for 4 days and felt amazing staying with Cratus ❤️

Room is spacious. Reception staff were very friendly and responsive in our inquiries. Expect your room to be cleaned on a daily as they do housekeeping and top up your toiletries daily which is amazing. The place is quiet new. No issue with the hot water aswell. Breakfast was amazing. Head to the roof top where the jacuzzi is. You can have a great view of the balloon up in the air early in the morning.

I really love the rooms. It is very spacious. We are able to cast from our devices to the TV. There is a carpeted sofa area and I like that there is a space to relax outside as well. Their breakfast was also amazing.

They absolutely deserve 5 stars, no questions asked! Fırat is by far one of the most exemplary guest relations person I’ve even encountered in all hotels I’ve been to around the world so far. He’s well connected, sharp and trustworthy. I hope he can dedicate a bit of time to read the book I recommended, since I sincerely believe it can help him to live an even more fulfilling life.

The hotel: it’s what you would expect from a good boutique hotel, therefore it’s relatively small (not in a bad way necessarily) and located in a very handy spot that is close to everything.

Junior suite: good, spacious, cost x benefit okay. The only minor improvement I would do is related to the curtains, which seem to need extra room around the windows to prevent people from outside to see you inside (given the view is for the street / neighborhood).

Breakfast: being a foodie person, this was the somehow low point for me. It’s not a bad breakfast by any means, however since that’s the most important meal for me… it was quite sad to see the lack of variety (specifically considering the restaurant seems to be premium). PS: if you have dietary restrictions (eg gluten-free) I would advise double checking with the manager to ensure everything will be smooth.

Extra tip: I’ve compared the price I paid for the Balloon Flight (fewer people basket) via Get Your Guide with the one the hotel was booking to guests… and I lost 40 euros booking online. They actually were booking for a cheaper price, which I couldn’t believe based on reviews from other places.

Conclusion: I would 100% return.
