Akcayhan Hotel in Akcay

I stayed on the Balıkesir Akçay side for a business trip. It was adequate. Thanks to the Beşiktaş guy at the reception.

We spent six nights here. First of all, the staff are very kind and friendly. They're helpful in every way you ask. The hotel garden is very spacious, and it's especially fun to sit and chat over tea in the evenings. They'll offer tea and bring cushions to the chairs without you even asking. They're truly attentive. There are also kittens in the garden who they look after. The gentleman working there picked up the kittens and brought them back to us when he saw them escape. 😻 They truly add to the beauty of the hotel. The only meal we had was breakfast. The food was generally similar every day, but it tasted good. The refrigerator in the room continued to work even if you removed the card, which is a nice touch. The rooms are cleaned daily, but the only issue we had was the slippers. The slippers were changed only once during our six-day stay, and that was because we asked. Because the slippers are disposable, they tear after a day, and the cotton inside starts to come out. This could use more attention. The window in the room opened at a 45-degree angle from the bottom, not the side. This prevents the curtain from moving, even when it's cool. However, we didn't experience any air congestion in the room. However, when we returned from the beach, we had difficulty drying our towels; we hung them on the sofa or table. The air conditioning and hairdryer in the room worked flawlessly. Sound transmits through the walls, but I personally didn't experience any noise problems because the hotel is generally quiet and peaceful, and the location isn't crowded. Its location makes it very close to the market, the beach, restaurants, and basically all the shops. At night, you can walk to the beach and enjoy a coffee in ten minutes.

As a location it was little off the desired area, more like in the neighborhood, at the highway, but turned out very nice. Didn’t hear the highway since we were on the back side of the hotel, staff was super nice, clean rooms and around the hotel. Very nice breakfast as well. Local shopping area like restaurants and markets all in 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again

After driving thru busy tourist side of downtown area, while trying to find this hotel I had my doubts. It is located in the neighborhood area, front looking at the big road. But the moment we arrive we received nothing but friendly staff. Very Clean, friendly, quiet hotel, easy wifi access. Room was very clean, had a small fridge, kettle for coffee and tea. Nice breakfast was served from 8:15 until 10:45, staff were again very friendly staff. This downtown area was more local oriented, had plenty restaurants and markets and etc and 5 minutes walk from our hotel. Hotel has plenty parking as well. Definitely can recommend.

I stayed here one night while travelling. Amazing price to performance ratio, the room is clean, bed is very comfortable, breakfast is nice and the service is attentive and friendly.
Only negative is thin walls, so you hear your neighbours. Road noise is not an issue.
