The hotel is right in the heart of the old town and very near the water front. The room was comfortable. I had an excellent dinner in the restaurant. The very best feature was the warmth and kindness of my hosts. Always warm and welcoming with beautiful smiles. There was very heavy rain while I was there and they helped me carry my luggage out of the old town to the taxi stand. I am most grateful.

This hotel is a real „Hidden Gem“. A very nice and helpful owner rebuilt an old soapfactory in a beautiful hotel. We visited this hotel with a family of four (two teenagers), there are also three bed rooms as we had. The second floor rooms have logia’s, but all rooms are spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The hotel is in a backstreet away from the mainroad and therefore quiet at night. Breakfast is in a nice outside area and it‘s also a restaurant. The place is a small fishing village, perfect to be away from the hassle and near to the beautiful island Conda. We visited in April during low season. We can really recommend this hotel.

We visited the hotel in the middle of the week, in the middle of Ramazan and in the middle of March, and we seemed to be the only guests.
The hotel has a perfect location in one of the old parts of Ayvalik, with plenty of shops and restaurants around. No traffic to mention and quiet. Close to the coastal main street and old harbour with good public communication and access to taxi.
The old soap factory is beautifully restored to a modern standard and still keeping the genuine atmosphere very well.
We had a double room on the top floor with a small roof terrace with beatiful views over the town, the hills and the sea.
The room and the bathroom had a good size, it was clean and comfortable. Even in the sudden cold weather the heating worked well.
The staff was friendly and we want to thank the director, Mr. Engin very much for his interesting stories about the place and renovation.

Orchis Hotel in Ayvalik is a great choice! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a perfect location. The breakfast is fresh and delicious, with many options. A cozy and comfortable stay for any traveler! The breakfast has a wide variety with many different options.❤️❤️

The hotel has its pros and cons. Parking is a major issue—no dedicated spots and a 350 TL daily cash fee on top of the 4500 TL room rate approx. (Because I paid in euros). The breakfast is good, with plenty of pastries and meze, and while the rooms are small but orderly, cleanliness is lacking, with soap residues in many areas. Noise is also a problem due to poor sound insulation, likely due to the building's age, but it's still disruptive. Despite high ratings, be aware of these significant drawbacks.

The hotel is in a central area, all the places to visit are within walking distance, the rooms are comfortable, the staff is helpful, there is music from the tavern downstairs until 12 at night. We were not disturbed. In terms of cleanliness, it is generally clean, but there was only dust on the glasses and tray in the room. There is a paid parking lot right next to the hotel, but parking is generally a problem in the center, the roads are narrow, the parking lots are full and expensive.

The place is amazing overall in terms of location as it is near the sea coast and there are lots of cafes, bars and shops around. The room we booked was nice although the bathroom was too small so it would be a bit of a problem to maneuver for big people 😂. What I liked the most about Macaron Konağı was the backyard where one can sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere. I could sit there and do some work on my laptop. Thank you.

Stayed here 2 days ago and it was the best choice ever. Ayvalık is such a lovely place and Macaron Hotel with owner Mehmet is just the perfect combination. Highly recommendable hotel!

Beautiful boutique hotel of Greek origin. Original features kept. Patio garden to have your breakfast in surrounded by olive and pomegranate trees. Great breakfast made up of fresh bread and simit, cheeses, home grown olives, veg and cakes, jam's ect. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff they can't do enough to help. Exceptionally clean and well kept. Great location in the centre of the old town. Plenty of bars and restaurants on the front by the sea. Market day on Thursday's. Fabulous stay and looking forward to returning 💜
