I first stayed here with my family as a very young child and then again as teenager and loved it every time, so on a recent trip to Istanbul with a friend, I knew immediately where I wanted to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the view from the terrace is incredible. The most important part of any trip to Turkey is the breakfast, and here it was amazing as well. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and it's also fairly easy to reach the hotel using the Hava Ist bus, though you can also easily take a taxi here. I highly recommend Alp Guesthouse, especially if it's your first time in Istanbul and you want to see all the sites in Sultanahmet.

Overall the hotel is extremely good value and location is fantastic.

We stayed in a family room which had lots of space and a view out the front of the hotel. The location is only a 5 minute walk from both the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque (although a bit further from public transport). The area surrounding the hotel is very touristy and prices (food quality, or lack of) reflect this.

The only negative at the hotel is the breakfast room. When we visited in April the temperatures were between 5 and 8 degrees C and the hotel only has a very small (6-8 tables) indoor space for breakfast. Unfortunately these filled up far too early and unless you are there for it opening, you'll either need to come back or eat breakfast out.

Very nice and accomodating staff, great location in old town. Nice breakfast. Room was good but shower screen and one PowerPoint broken.

It is really beautiful! And if you are looking for pubs the hotel location is perfect because is in a street that has a lot of them! Really nice neighborhood.

The location is perfect, just 5 minutes from the Blue Mosque and Sophia, the room was clean, the breakfast was very varied and delicious, apart from having incredible views from the terrace, I will definitely return

great location. walking distance to many must see places and a couple of grocery shops. room is in okay size. it's a little bit noisy during the weekend. breakfast was okay, though the coffee machine didn't work properly for half of the time during my stay. I enjoyed the view from the terrace.

We booked a room in this hotel, but could not come since our stay in Sapanca got extended, but since we missed the free period of cancellation, we were informed by booking system that there can be a charge in the amount of approx 150 euros, but after messaging to hotel representative, they did not fine us. This is an indicator of the quality of services and the ability to work with customers. Thanks a lot. Next time we visit Istanbul, we will definately stay there.

This is a wonderful hotel, a few minutes of walking away from the main attractions. Great hospitality, wonderful breakfast with views from the rooftops. Couldn't really wish for more, would definitely stay here again.
