Reviews
The staff were all so friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist. A special shoutout to Ali from the hotel market, who was wonderful — always offering great discounts and fair prices (even better than markets in Antalya!). The animation team, especially Mert, Engin, and the animation manager (whose name we unfortunately didn’t catch), made our stay even more enjoyable. They were so welcoming and full of energy, and the evening entertainment was top quality and different every night.
The hotel’s facilities were fantastic — three pools (two outdoor and one indoor), a lovely spa, a private beach area, and even a club for guests 16 and over. Whether you want to relax or stay active, there’s something for everyone here.
I stayed for two weeks with my family at the Grand Ring Hotel in Kemer, and unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations.
The food was the biggest disappointment. Every day it was the same dishes, and most of it didn’t taste good. After a few days, I even had to take pills for my stomach. Definitely not what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. After the first week, they started reusing food from breakfast for lunch and dinner — just adding mayonnaise and calling it “local cuisine.”
Two days before the end of our stay, the management announced that the hotel would be closing soon — yet they had still sold us a two-week package. After that, everything went downhill: less food, less cleaning, limited ice cream hours, shorter bar times, and even the staff began eating in the same restaurant as the guests. I understand it was the end of the season, but we’ve stayed in Turkey at this time before, and other hotels still provided fresh, high-quality food until the very last day. Here, it was the opposite.
If the hotel knew it would be closing, why sell full-price stays for two weeks? The last week felt like we were just watching the place shut down. If I had known this, I would have chosen another hotel that respected us and our money.
The spa staff were another issue. They constantly pressured us to buy massages, sometimes very aggressively, making us feel uncomfortable. It even got to the point where I felt awkward asking for clean towels, because their response was, “You need massage, you need to pay.” That’s not hospitality — it’s harassment.
The restaurant staff were also unfriendly. They rarely smiled or said thank you, even when I tried to be polite. One waitress named Arabia even kicked me while I was walking to my table and ignored me afterward — extremely unprofessional behavior. I once tried the soup, which tasted terrible, and when she saw my full plate, she mocked me.
At another point, my husband — who was sitting outside wearing shorts — was disrespected by the same waitress, who made inappropriate gestures toward him. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one claiming to be 5 stars.
On the positive side, the bar staff were excellent. The main bar barman and the pool bartenders were friendly, professional, and always smiling.
However, the room cleaning was terrible. The floor was sticky and dirty — my white socks turned black after walking around. The sink, shower, and countertops were never cleaned properly during our two-week stay.
Another unpleasant surprise was the atmosphere — the hotel was mostly filled with Russian guests, many of whom were unfriendly. The animation team seemed more interested in flirting with guests than entertaining everyone. The last week, they stopped organizing proper shows — it was just karaoke with Russian songs every night.
The only things I truly enjoyed were the beach, the bar area, and the view from our room. The pools, however, were dirty, and when I asked if they could make the baby pool warmer, my request was ignored.
If the hotel knew it would close soon, they should have informed guests and adjusted the prices. Instead, they charged full price for half the service.
This was our first family trip to Turkey with our kids, and it was very disappointing. My husband and I had been to Turkey before and always had great experiences, but this one was truly unpleasant.
Kemer itself is a nice city, but I think Side offers better service, food, and atmosphere — and fewer problems with rude behavior.
Overall, the hotel looks beautiful from the outside but completely fails in service, food quality, and professionalism. I would rate it 2 stars, not 5.
However, the check-in process was very disappointing. Despite booking two separate rooms for four women, including my 83-year-old mother, we were offered a family room we didn’t want, and even a room with a spiral staircase, which was unsafe. After several hours and multiple requests, we finally received the room we had originally described.
The reception staff were sarcastic and unhelpful, which left a bad impression.
Also, be cautious with the manicure salon. The service was poor, and I never saw the tools being sterilized — a serious hygiene concern.
We hope the management takes these issues seriously, as the hotel itself has great potential.
It was extremely overcrowded and it was hard to enjoy the experience. It wasn't terrible but also it wasn't what I expected for the price.
I will start with pros:
-pretty good food, wide selection which was changing thorough the 6 days
-decent animation programs and also an option to visit clubs in Kemer
-staff was friendly, mostly young people who spoke some English
-the hotel is in a beautiful area, surrounded by mountains
-rooms were clean, no issue with that
And now to the cons:
-hotel was fully booked and they gave us room which was 4 stars at the best, but ok
-there was always a que at the main pool bar, so if you have decided to get drink there, you had to be patient
-the worst part was how hard it was find a spot on the beach and the pools, especially because if you wanted to be near umbrellas or a shadow :( I usually just ended up going to my room or inside the hotel in the afternoon because it wasn't ok in these temperatures - also if you want no privacy or personal space, go ahead and go to this hotel during the season because the sunbeds are stashed on each other with no option to put your bags or drinks anywhere
From my perspective the owners and managers of the hotel don't care about anything else but making money, otherwise I don't understand their decisions. This was one of my worst stays in Turkey so far.
Resort is quite big (had big and small building), 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, private beach, spa center, gym.
Rooms are clean daily (fresh towels, shampoos, etc.)
Food: tons of. Some dishes the same all week some of it changed daily (grilled meat eg).
Sweets - looks great and teast really good.
Watermelons are so good - I ate a tons of
Staff were really friendly and communicative. They helped with all requests/queries.
Especially Baran and Sabina from reception desk were so nice and greedy to help.
I cannot complain about anything. That was amazing holiday time and staff made everything to make it comfortable.
5 stars from my end
BTW - I had a birthday and did not even mentioned about it. And Baran organized the room service (without even request). That was so sweet and unexpected.
The food was good , but there you need more fruits , everyday was the same , watermelon.
What was really good was the management at the restaurant and the beach, they were clean , they were fast. What i really liked was they were doing meetings before the dinner started. I was really amazed, the worker's there need a raise.
Overall it was good, we stayed 6 nights, we enjoyed it , rested well... Keep on with the good job at the restaurant and the beach , but watch sometimes the rooms , and reception.
What is more the air is perfect behind you are the mountains and Infront of you the see! Good place of nature
Thanks to all the hotel team who made this visit such a fabulous experience.
