Disappointing stay after years of loyalty
I've visited the club 39 times now, but this stay will definitely be my last. The value for money is simply no longer acceptable. Prices have increased by over 80% in the last three years, but the quality hasn't improved in any way. It's frustrating, considering we pay in euros and should actually be benefiting from inflation in Turkey – but the opposite is true.
The rooms, which haven't been renovated in over ten years, look old and worn. While the food is still good, there's a lack of quality and service in many other areas. Although I booked the Village, I was moved to the main building, which meant I couldn't get a late check-out. It seems like everything at this club is now geared solely towards maximizing profits, with no regard for loyal customers.
... The condition of the jetty was particularly disappointing; it has now lost 30% of its surface area to make room for paid sun loungers. The constant and excessive security checks within the club were especially bothersome. Even if they already know you and have recently checked you, you'll be checked again. This might be understandable on the beach, but it's completely unacceptable within the club and leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
This hotel is amazing. Some highlights of our stay include:
- Each hotel staff we encountered were courteous, friendly and professional
- Special thanks to Mika in Guest Relations, Eren from the kitchen, Uğur from security, lkay from housekeeping and Tim from the animation team. They went above and beyond to service us or make us feel welcome and at home. Some may not be at the front line of the hotel but their warmth, hospitality and dedication are what set this hotel apart from others.
- Unprecedented attention to details from the hotel rooms to all other hotel amenities
- Delicious and diverse food offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Abundance of activities for all ages from the adults to the young
There is just one thing I would like to kindly mention to help future guests but this is completely unassociated with the hotel. We arranged transportation with TUI from the airport to the hotel and back. We were offered water in the airport shuttle. The driver handed us bottles of water and never mentioned that we had to pay for them. After we got off the shuttle, the driver told us that the water costed money and asked us to pay. We felt blind-sighted and didn’t appreciate the lack of transparency and open communication. It’s totally fine to charge for water but it’s important to inform the guests beforehand and be transparent about the costs.
In summary, I can highly recommend this hotel. We’ve already made our booking to come back next year!
