Reviews
Reception staff very helpful and exceptionally friendly.
Located close (within walking distance) to the famous Pechersk Lavra (a Kiev must see!), park of eternal glory and the motherland monument.
As a hotel it was very dated and could do with a refurb, however the room was clean and tidy. The staff were helpful too. The location is perfect for visiting Pechersk Lavra, the Holodmor Genocide museum and the Great Patriotic war museum. You also have Arsenalna metro stop a short walk away, and the fantastic Kyiv Food Market.
My room on the 6th floor facing the Dnieper river offered good views, especially from the balcony, though it wasn't particularly warm. The heated aircon did a job but there was a slight chill when not in bed - I was visiting in January (the coldest month in the Ukraine I believe).
I'd recommend visiting the hotel but just beware that it isn't particularly modern. As a side note, for anyone with access needs, poor mobility or using a wheelchair, the hotel has two lifts and because of the way the floors are designed, it's easy to get between floors. The floors are mostly connected by a spiral ramp.
I definitely do not recommend.
The service was quite bad, we were told that the hotel has parking, behind a road barrier, right next to the hotel, but the receptionist did not see fit to mention that this parking is paid, not cheap, too.
No apologies at the desk either just a "sorry I'm busy".
Pay peanuts get monkeys.
It would be ok if they had information on their website that they had accomodation available from 19:00, not 14:00.
For me, by not providing this information beforehand the hotel is cheating on clients
Breakfast was poor and not fresh, pancakes and eggs are dry and laying there for +30 minutes.
Under the bed was a lot of dust and long black hairs in shower and bathroom was wiped but not clean. Wifi in breakfastroom not availible
Design of hotel is ok.
People at desk very kind and helpfull.
Ordered dinner in room and was cold served ( burger and fries)
