Great location bang in the center. Great views all around, but the rooms and service needs a major overhaul.
Good for one night halt to admire the best fountain ⛲ views and be closest to the centre to get a feel of the place.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Kyiv. Professional staff is doing their best to make staying in the hotel comfortable. Hearty breakfast is included in the room rate. The only downside is that the interior requires complete renovation.

I noticed some 3+ and even 4+ stars for this hotel. I guess some people have really low standard. To give an idea of my rating, Radisson Blue would be a 4.5+.
The hotel is amazingly located, right next to independence square. It's easy to walk to all the touristic areas from the hotel. I would give it a 4+ just for the location but the state of the rooms bring it down to a 2+.
The room was dated, with an old 13" tv. Personally this is not a problem, I actually enjoyed to the fact that the room had that 'welcome to the USSR cachet'. The main issue is the cleanliness of the room and bathroom.
The room itself had a very unpleasant smell, which could be attributed from the black mold all over the bath. There was a small fridge in the room and I recommend not opening the door. The smell inside was terrible.
Other than that, if you're looking for a relatively cheap hotel right in the city centre for a couple days, and if cleanliness is not that important to you, then this is a great location.

Great location and service people are very friendly. But hotel needs major remodel or update : rooms are Soviet style with ripped and stained carpet, limited soap/ shampoo/ towels supply and lack of cleanness. Prices for the rooms are Ok , but I would rather pay a little more for cleaner room with no evidence of bed bugs!

The hotel is in the center of Kiev. On The Independence Maidan. The price for the room 800-930 UAH. Conditions the most common. A refrigerator is. TV. The dryer is not. Slippers no. Given only the gel and soap. The room has a TV, someone lucky gets air. The most common conditions. "Old soviet style". Breakfast included, the food is varied and tasty. There is a Parking. Plus, only that is the center.

Every year the hotel is dilapidated, the service deteriorated and prices are rising! By the way, "the Auditor" does not go here.

The horror, the dirty and neglected hotel, kako we've seen. the repair was probably from 1917, if someone is being washed on another floor can be heard. room NOT cleaned towels not changed, ran out of soap or shampoo....not added..Breakfast - no...in General, except posh location good. Friendly staff

Given the premium location, it looks like they could have invested more into the renovation. There are definite signs of the old past everywhere -- from the worn-out doors to cheap bathroom holders, even in a suite room. I dread to think what it's like in the standard rooms. The view and the breakfast were good, though.

It's basic and functional. Expect no bells and whistles but the place is clean, comfortable, good WiFi, decent breakfast and reasonably priced considering the location, which is excellent.
