The hotel is well located and the staff more than helpful. We were moved on our request to a ground floor room which is large, and well decorated other than the shower. Some areas need renovation but it’s perfectly adequate for our needs. And it’s inexpensive! Will stay again

Fir the 💰 money this hotel delivers staff are so good yes it'd in need of renovation but that's reflected in the price it's comfortable quirky cosy well located and a bargain price cannot complain £150 for 3 nights I'd definitely come back travelodgd was £85 a night and others here I looked at for £50 a night it's worth every penny rooms big bed comfy bathroom great..I asked for extra duvet and heater they gave me it ..warm friendly unusual bargain hotel lovely staff

Pros: Location and room size were nice with two rooms and a bathroom for a family of 4 (1a 3c). Staff were lovely. Cons: Room seemingly was not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. Shower was hard to handle. Toilet was hard to flush.

Room was clean and spacious. Hotel was quiet and in a good location for me. Staff all polite and helpful. It was ok for the cost. The TV did not work, I think the remote was broken. There was a hairdryer that didn’t work (not PAT tested since 2018). The shower area was very poor. Hallways and stairs were tired and a bit grimy.

Had a good stay at this hotel I'd give it 4 stars. The room was clean and tidy and the staff were fairly nice. It was pretty good value for money in my opinion and I'd use the service again. The pillows and the bed were comfortable enough and I had coffee ready to go in the morning

Reception and cleaning staff were courteous and helpful, room was as a clean as it could be (aside from stains on carpet and sofa bed). Bed was uncomfortable, could feel springs in mattress, non-smoking room, but corridor and room smelt heavily of stale tobacco smoke, windows could not be locked, slabs on steps in to building broken and tipped when you stepped on them, property in dire need of a full refurb.

Decent Hotel close to the beach
The chap on reception was very helpful. Hotel advertised parking but this is chargeable. Room was clean, but mattress was soft.
Overall a great budget stay

There was no hot water in the shower, no cold water in the bathroom,
Bed sheet are not cleaned
Otherwise, staff are friendly, room is spacious.

Never again
It was like Faulty Towers of Brighton in 2025. We were shown 2 possible rooms to stay in. We picked the best of a bad room. The carpets were awful, thread bare in places or paint all over them. The bathroom tiles were held in with screws. No bath mats, TV or anything. The bed mattress was very uncomfortable and seemed to have a big dent in it, which made it hard to sleep on.

Ordered £70 takeaway and the guy got the order completely wrong called up and he said the driver would come and pick it up and return the money. Waited half hour and called up again to see what was happening. He then accused me saying i ordered wrong when he heard the order wrong. Absolutely awful behaviour and attitude over the phone so bloody rude. Ended up having to eat a cold takeaway an hour after it was delivered as the guy was not willing to own up to his mistake and blamed me saying i ordered the wrong food and lied saying the driver would come and pick the food up!

Had our Christmas do here and couldn’t fault anything. We had a 20 strong party and everyone was thrilled with there food. The staff went out of there way to make us all have a fantastic evening I would highly recommend this place.

Having never tried Mexican food before, this was a first for me. I discovered that Mexican food is too spicy for my palate. Even the rice was spicy. The service was good though.

Been eating at GFC for over 7 years but has gone down hill.

When I lived in Brighton, I'd occasionally order from GFC and the highlight of their food was the hot wings. Big sized wings with a nice spicy taste. The fried chicken also had a tasty and unique coating. However over the past 2 years, I have seriously seen a change and have seen how this place has gone downhill. Whenever I visit Brighton, I usually order from here. However the past times that I have ordered in the last few months including last week, were very disappointing. Chicken was bland no seasoning or flavour like it had years ago; just pure grease and doesn't taste fresh. The most disappointing thing was also the wings. They no longer have that great flavour that I experienced years before. Just plain and no freshness. It's a shame that This place which was once so good, no longer puts much effort into food..

I hope the owner sees this so things can change. Even though I had a few bad experiences, I kept ordering just in case they made the nice recipe again for wings and chicken but now I have given up. I can't keep ordering and getting chicken and wings that doesn't satisfy one's pallet.

Had a minced lamb kebab on Tuesday night, Nov 28,2017, vomited twice yesterday and ran a fever overnight, still not right almost 48h later. Do not eat here, I will be informing Environmental Health.

Twice I've ordered food here, twice they've got my order wrong. The first time they got my burger completely wrong, but sent out another straight away (and it was very tasty). The second time they didnt put cheese in my burger AND I'm missing onion rings. Food is alright but save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
