Novotel Cambridge North, Cambridge1 / 28

Cambridge, 2, Cambridge Square (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Excellent location, next to Cambridge North Train Station. The room is new, clean and good space for luggage. Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. Good choice to stay in Cambridge.
Really nice and tidy room, service is great, we really liked. But pool is not as we expected, water was not so clean and a bit small
Great experience! Amazing stay
Stayed at Novotel Cambridge North recently and had a really solid experience overall. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The facilities were impressively clean, especially the swimming pool and sauna - both well maintained and relaxing to use. Breakfast was more than sufficient, with a great standard full English buffet that was always topped up quickly...
New and clean budget hotel with a very convenient location. Breakfast is served with good quality.
My stay at Novotel Cambridge was extremely disappointing due to serious cleanliness issues. Upon checking into Room 205, I discovered visible blood stains on the duvet. This is not a minor oversight — it is a basic hygiene failure. Clean bedding is the absolute minimum standard any guest should expect. Finding blood stains immediately raised concerns about the room being properly cleaned and inspected...

Perfect for a city break. Best breakfast ever too!
Close to the location where I need to go for business visit.
Hotel was very helpful on queries on adding my son due to last minute changes to lodging. Room is reasonably furnished. Gym is open 24 hours - good collection of equipment for workout
Excellent location, friendly staffs
The location is good. Bed is comfortable. Nothing special but we only stay 1 night is OK
Breakfast is excellent, worth to pay extra for it Overall, the room, service and environment is good ; just the toilet water flush always out of water

The service and the locations are all great. The room size is slightly small
I booked this hotel for my child who is studying away from home. He said the location is great and the transportation is quite convenient, especially during the Christmas holidays. In addition to breakfast and dinner, the hotel also offers à la carte options, so he was quite satisfied.
We were very satisfied with the room, and the staff were warm and attentive. The hotel's location was also very convenient, with many restaurants to choose from right outside. We even rented bicycles from the hotel to explore Cambridge, which was great!
The hotel is very beautiful. The room is quite big. There is a 24-hour fitness center. The breakfast is quite varied.
I’m disappointed with this hotel, not impressed with dimly light room & quite basic in decor. From the review it was impressive that’s why we chose this hotel over Hotel du Vin this time. I’d choose Hotel du Vin when next visit Cambridge.
Very peaceful and spacious environment. There is an extremely great view too, recommend staying here if you’re visiting the university.

Cambridge, 27-29 Station Rd (in the centre) 🧭 Map
It is a wonderful, cozy hotel with an excellent location — just a short walk from the railway station, which is especially convenient when traveling with luggage or children. If you are staying with kids, I highly recommend booking a room with a third bed. It is genuinely comfortable and well thought out, not just a nominal extra bed as is often the case in hotels. The staff are polite, attentive,...
The location is fantastic, very close to the train station, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The breakfast was good, and museums and several colleges were all within walking distance. We were very satisfied.
The hotel and the hotel room was amazing. I booked an executive room with the balcony as I like to spend some time on there unfortunately the room next door Continuously smoking ******** out there so I was unable to use the balcony so I was very disgruntled. I ordered a bottle of Fizz which stated £30 on the menu to find out the next day I’ll build 110 for it.
The hotel is very good. The staff are professional and kind. Breakfast is delicious and rich.we can walk to all sightseeing places from the hotel and go to train station about five minutes.room is large and convenient. Something in the room are classic and beautiful.
It is just opposite Cambridge Railway Station. The room is large and comfortable, and there is a strong academic atmosphere. You can take the bus to Cambridge or walk about 1km. There are several coffee shops and supermarkets downstairs, making it very convenient for eating and drinking coffee.
The room is OK, the breakfast is good, the staff is nice, and the hotel is just across the road from the train station. It is very convenient to go anywhere.

Location is very accessible by car. It is quiet. The breakfast is very good and up to the standard. There are on site swimming pool and fitness room. Plenty of car park places and free for members to use.
Had an amazing and comfortable stay at Holiday Inn. Highly recommende
My stay at this hotel was very disappointing. The air conditioning was not working, the paint in the room was peeling, and there was visible rust on the door hinges, which made the space feel poorly maintained. The most frustrating issue was the smoke detector going off with false alarms several times, including in the early morning. When I tried calling the front desk for assistance, no one answered...
Excelent place to rest with friends
a comfortable stay with decent facilities!
Nice hotel but a bit outdated and could do with a renovation. Enjoyed our stay though and would probably come back, mainly for the swimming pool facilities and for nice breakfast.

Cambridge, Mill Lane, Granta Place (in the centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel was great location and well maintained. I stayed in a room with River view on ground floor and it was amazing. Hotel has a great resting/bar by riverside. I also opted for free breakfast but that seemed a wrong decision. Options could be increased in breakfast considering all other Hilton hotels I have stayed around the world.
absolutely excellent experience. There's charging facilities for EVs too. Most importantly, its right next to the river and within the quaint vibes and atmosphere of Cambridgetown.
This hotel is located by the river, just a short walk, less than ten minutes, from Cambridge University and the shopping center. The river view rooms offer beautiful scenery, including a small park across the way. The room was clean with a lovely British style, and the bed was very comfortable. A tip for staying in UK hotels: it's best to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers, as rooms...
Good hotel and good location. Near River Cam and wasy walk to town centre. Staff so friendly and good breakfast. Will come back again. Thanks
Excellent all things in this hotel. I have lunch set at Garden restaurant that the portion of food is quite large with reasonable prices. All food and desserts is taste good.
The hotel is quite new and not far from the city center, located near the River Cam. However, the cleaning staff are really... when we first checked in, there was un-flushed pee in the toilet, and they left a cleaning rag in the wardrobe after cleaning. It's truly a headache! 😩

Gonville Hotel, Cambridge1 / 29

A very warm welcome at the front desk from Reuben.  Enjoyed a nice lunch in the bar lounge. Room good but found that the carpet is in dire need of cleaning lots of marks evident also the bathroom was of adequate cleanliness also. Coffee offering poor considering the Paddy and Scott option available in the bar lounge. Overall a comfortable pleasant stay, not to be too negative -would stay again.
Great hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms great, food excellent and well stocked bar.
An excellent hotel in Cambridge. Easy short walk to the city, lovely room which was very clean. Great Air Con, coffee and tea facilities in the room. Breakfast was excellent.
Wonderful hotel, in a great location, with excellent service.
General Good. Bit of noisy at night if you live at the top floor. Friendly staff
The Gonville Hotel is gorgeous. Great staff, beautiful boutique hotel. Bar area is lovely and so is the restaurant. Added bonus was a complimentary tour in their Bentley (book in advance). Would highly recommend this hotel.

Cambridge, 37 Eddington Avenue (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel is located on the outskirts of Cambridge. Right outside, there's a bus stop with frequent buses, making it super convenient to get to Cambridge University and the city center (about 10 minutes away). Plus, there's a supermarket, a pizza place, and a bakery/coffee shop all within easy reach. The facilities are also quite new.
Room was very clean and cosy. Staff were helpful and gave us lots of good travel advice. However, it is a bit far from the town centre and ubers are advised. Overall, a great stay.
very nice hotle, located in Eddington, girton. you can take U-bus to city centre.
The hotel is a bit far from the main Cambridge University area, requiring a bus ride, but it's still very convenient as most Cambridge attractions don't have parking, so taking the bus is the usual way to get around. The front desk staff were also very friendly and patient in answering questions. While early check-in wasn't possible, they did offer luggage storage. My only minor complaint is that there...
Lovely hotel near Cambridge. Slightly outisde the town centre that needs 10mins drive. But for the very affordable room rate, it is a relatively good hotel to stay with ample parking in and around the hotel.

Staff so helpful - organised early check in so I could do a call and came and checked / replenished goodies immediately :)
Room was very cold - as was the walk from reception to the room. Breakfast was a bit of a mess as we were unsure of what it entailed as the manager was taking a call abouincoming party
A very basic stay, everything looks beautiful on the outside, hotel staff very friendly, room nice size but not comfortable in terms of bed/pillows. Spa: steam room excellent, the sauna door doesn’t shut properly and also the rubber lining has fallen away therefore you lose a lot of heat, pool on the cool side and jacuzzi luke warm at best.
Great hotel, the staff, food and spa were all great, rooms clean and comfortable
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive. Nice swimming pool.
Room was lovely and clean. Staff were friendly. Health and wellness facilities were really good. Onsite parking was convenient. Would happily stay again.

Clean, friendly staff and nice spa.
Had the most amazing experience staying at this hotel! Perfect location and the service was 10/10. The spa was a really nice treat to finish the trip. We will be back!
Lovely hotel, great location, Room upgrades foc which was a bonus, disappointed that the hot tub jets wasn’t working and was also disappointed that on advice by the hotel told to use park street car park, I was parked for less than 24hrs and charged £58!! I nearly fainted.. absolutely extortionate.
Roof bar shut , don’t have many beers available from menu and burger overcooked and dry. Great location Parking extremely expensive
Lovely venue and room The rooms are lovely, views amazing and I used to stay here frequently a few years ago, so was an easy go to when visiting Cambridge after being away for several years. My challenge was the level of noise that disturbed me overnight, I am a light sleeper so used to being disturbed, however it was several times during the night and early hours. Usually a small lie in keeps...
The hotel is a nice hotel, the staff were very friendly and efficient, it’s a great location for everything in Cambridge. The room was excellent. The food in “Six” was not very good. We ordered 4 different starters, as a snack - Tapas style, however they were all poor, and you could buy better at M&S. sorry, the rest of the stay was very good, the food let it down a bit.

Room was clean and very comfortable, bathroom facilities were great. Service from reception wasn’t particularly welcoming although our room request was provided when we asked. Service at dinner was sloppy; drinks forgotten and then charged for a more expensive glass of wine and just “topped up” with the cheaper bottle. Breakfast service was much better.
Room was lovely, apart from the heating not working for the first night, was fixed by the second.
Great location, large comfortable room, good breakfast, staff friendly and helpful.
The customer service in this hotel is excellent; it’s a really quirky boutique hotel with nooks and crannies everywhere. The bar in the cellar is great with, once again, excellent service from all of the staff. We will definitely be back.
This hotel is ideal for visiting Cambridge. Parking is in another hotels unsecure outside parking area a short drive away. The staff helped get our cases into and out of the hotel and the room was well fitted out and very comfortable.
Having been told that the bar was open til 11pm we returned at 10.45 to find it locked up. The bar manager happened to be in reception and kindly served us, we needed to sit in a room separate from the bar. OK, but not what we expected.

Everything was nice and clean, and there was nothing to complain about. The best part is that it’s only a 5 minute walk from the train station. Great location!
The check-in process was smooth, and the room was neat and clean. The hostel was quite spacious with plenty of room available to relax, and the kitchen was clean, and the washrooms were well-maintained. Overall, I loved the experience and will definitely come back again.
Basically hostel. 5 minutes walking to train station. Central location. There is no shower gel in shared bathroom, although room is equipped with gel dispenser
Amazing stay, at an amazing place! Everything located at a walking distance a cafés, food joints, pubs, etc. The hotel staff was amazing and welcoming! Took care of checking in a jiffy. While I didn’t opt for the breakfast, the spread was good enough to start your day. The sleep was comfortable, neat and clean sheets, sink to wash your face and brush your teeth. What more can you ask for! Thank you...

Two bunk beds, with a private bathroom and shower. The room was clean and, although compact, offered incredible value for money. It was perfect for our family of four. It happened to be my birthday on the day we checked in, and I cooked some food in the shared kitchen and enjoyed some local beer. It was a really warm and cozy experience.

The room was large and in a quiet part of the hotel. Staff for booking in and in the bar and breakfast room were helpful and nice. No passing traffic made for a very restful night's sleep. Breakfast was comprehensive with continental or cooked options.
Rooms were adequate and clean. Breakfast and all staff especially the reception staff were great
Room clean, but a bit "monastic"...wasn't expecting more. Somewhat of a "maze" of corridors. Grounds and building beautiful. Ample parking. Didn't have breakfast.
Staff polite, room fine for price paid. Lovely hot shower. Amazing grounds to walk in and enjoy all year round. Breakfast superb, had everything i wanted and more but eggs, sausages and bacon could have bern hotter.
Breakfast excellent. Car park is now quite a walk from the main entrance so bring an umbrella in case of rain. Breakfast really good. My bathroom fan wasn't working well and there was damp on the ceiling. They let me in early which I am very grateful for.
Beautiful use of such an historical building. With superb gardens. A refreshing respite after a busy day exploring Cambridge.

Did not use parking. Only issue it said bed & breakfast. There was not any breakfast
The location was good but the property is decrepit and not well maintained. Our toilet leaked, I informed the caretaker and it was not resolved. There is a pervasive rotting vegetable smell in the hotel. For the money, it is not a good option.
Clean and Easy Stayed for 3 nights over May Day weekend. Host was responsive and friendly, room was large and comfortable with a good en-suite with hot shower, as well as tea making facilities. Very enjoyable stay.
This was basic accommodations with friendly service. The property is dated rough around the edges, but was very competitively priced. It was a pleasant walk to downtown. We would probably stay again but can’t give it high marks aside from value and location.
The room is beautiful The boss is so nice But no air conditioning, very hot (13°C outdoors, 26°C indoors) (it's very warm). I dare not open the windows because there are mosquitoes and spiders outside
A little gem hidden in Oxford! Extremely good value. Clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet room with very good internet connection. Bus stop to the centre 2 minutes away from the house or 20 minutes walk to the centre. Highly recommended.
