We recently got married in The Terrace at The Gonville Hotel, where we held our ceremony, wedding breakfast, evening reception and breakfast the following morning, and we honestly had the most wonderful day.

A huge thank you to Michelle, our Wedding & Events Manager, who supported us throughout our wedding planning journey. She was always warm, approachable and genuinely wanted us to have the best possible day. Wedding planning inevitably comes with lots of questions and last-minute changes, and Michelle was always willing to help and accommodate our requests wherever possible.

The Terrace is a beautiful, light-filled wedding space and created the perfect setting for our celebrations from start to finish. The food was excellent, and so many of our guests commented on how lovely everything was. We made memories that we will treasure forever.

Thank you to Michelle and all of the team for helping make our wedding day so special. Michelle’s support throughout the planning process was greatly appreciated, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Terrace at The Gonville Hotel to other couples looking for a beautiful wedding venue.

V comfortable & only few minutes walk into the centre & collages with excellent restaurants. The staff are courteous and efficient. A special mention goes to the breakfast staff who worked hard with a smile - no ask was too great. Thank you to you all!

I spent a few days at the Gonville Hotel and I'm incredibly impressed. The location is perfect – right next to Parker's Piece, so the city center, university colleges, and the River Cam are just a few minutes' walk away. The staff are incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful. I felt truly special at reception. The rooms are clean and elegantly decorated. The only downside is the poor lighting in the room (I'm giving it one star less) – it was quite dark, even during the day (due to the small window). It's quite inconvenient for those who want to work. The breakfast is delicious, with a wide selection of hot and cold dishes. It's quiet, comfortable, and close to attractions. I will definitely choose the Gonville again next time I visit Cambridge. I highly recommend it!

We had the most amazing wedding at the Gonville this week. The entire process was smooth and made easy by the events team who were so accommodating and thoughtful. Communication with them was really good and I felt at ease with all of the planning because we were in good hands. Accessibility was important for us and the venue was perfect for our elderly guests. We used the Teepee space and garden and the venue was completely beautiful. We had members of our family who wanted to do a surprise for us and this was handled entirely without our knowledge discreetly and was pulled off with ease. Attention to detail throughout was super and we felt guided through the planning process: We were made to feel special throughout the day, it was a wonderful experience.
The food was incredible, we have had so many compliments on how fantastic it was. As a gluten free bride, I had so many options available to me, and all of them were delicious, and presented beautifully.
The night of the wedding we stayed in Gresham house, and the room was beautiful, and there were some really lovely little touches done again to make us feel special.
The day was everything we wanted it to be, I want to say a massive thank you to the whole team. You have been accommodating, fun and made the experience a joy!

Very nice place to stay

A very warm welcome at the front desk from Reuben. 

Enjoyed a nice lunch in the bar lounge.

Room good but found that the carpet is in dire need of cleaning lots of marks evident also the bathroom was of adequate cleanliness also. Coffee offering poor considering the Paddy and Scott option available in the bar lounge.

Overall a comfortable pleasant stay, not to be too negative -would stay again.

Great hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms great, food excellent and well stocked bar.

An excellent hotel in Cambridge. Easy short walk to the city, lovely room which was very clean. Great Air Con, coffee and tea facilities in the room.
Breakfast was excellent.
