Cambridge, 2 Station Square (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
A convenient and comfortable hotel located right next to Cambridge Railway Station. There are a few supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Staff are attentive and polite, including those at reception and housekeeping. Another great feature is that you can watch the sunset from the guest room’s window.
We had a lovely stay at ibis Cambridge. The location is excellent, especially being so close to the train station, which made traveling very easy. Overall, it’s a great spot for exploring the city. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit!
Had a comfortable stay at the ibis in Cambridge. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The best thing is the location — it’s right next to the train station, which makes it really convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room has a great view too. There’s a bar open 24 hours and a nice lounge area on the first floor to sit and relax. No complaints at all. I’d happily stay here...
Quiet room, next door to the train station, food, drink and hot drinks available 24/7 pizzas till 3am. Lounge space quite pleasant, free books, games, live music 🎶 sometimes.
I just want to express my disappointment from my recent stay in İbis Cambridge !!!Unfortunately my expirience did not meet the standards that I expected . The issue was bathroom vent which was blowing freezing air and was making annoying noise all night. Even outside was warmer than inside in the room. This was one of my worst hotel experiences I have had .
Pretty good, and close to the train station, which is a big plus. It's worth staying here – convenient and clean. When I booked, it said free breakfast was included, but after booking, it showed no breakfast and that I'd have to pay.

Good location nice architecture with a garden but it can get quite dark at night with no lamppost or lights Room is fine but cleanliness is just sos
Staying here is a unique experience; it feels like being in a movie because of the historic buildings and beautiful gardens. It is a great way to save money in Cambridge compared to regular hotels. I stayed in a single room with a shared bathroom. The room was basic but very clean and spacious. The shared bathrooms were always clean and I never had to wait to use them. The only downside is that there...
great location. the staffs are friendly and helpful. thank you
The room was very tidy and nice. They had all the amenities, including soap, body wash, shampoo, tea, and instant coffee. They even had coffee pots. Towels were changed everyday too. There is no hair dryer, but they gave me enough towel to dry my long hair thoroughly though. The room I stayed was an attic room, with slanted ceiling, but I loved it because I could see the sky. There were blinders too...

The location is very convenient, near the bus station, shopping center, market, boots, H&B. The scenery in the school is very pretty. The shared bathroom is small but clean, a single traveler like me feels very ok

Hotel is not in the city but parking is not expensive (6 pounds)
I stayed in Holiday inn during March in room 046. It was a very clean room on arrival with twin beds and a bigger than expected bathroom. It had a good shower with Dove washes. It was a 45 min walk from the Centre of Cambridge along Mill Road or you can get the No 2 bus that costs £3. It was a pleasant walk. The reception staff were very helpful and check in was quick. The room had a good temperature...
Amazing reception team and very welcoming staff. Jack makes us feel comfortable as soon as we arrive , you can feel how Jack is exceptional at his customer care and other members of staffs were also welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was good as well. The area is quiet. Thank you for making our stay welcoming.
We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, and the standout factor was without a doubt the service. The staff were consistently warm and attentive throughout our visit. A special shout‑out to Jorgen, who kindly offered us a complimentary drink when our food was delayed. It wasn’t about the freebie—it was the gesture, the willingness to go the extra mile, and the way he made us feel genuinely welcomed. Moments...
This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel on Sunday night so that in itself must speak volumes. We live only 17 miles away however it’s such a relaxing night with great food & excellent staff that we find the great price on a Sunday night hard to resist. Hanna & Ben along with the other employees make this the go to destination for us. All reception staff are professional & well presented...

While the hotel itself and rooms are fine. You have to pay extra for parking which is clearly just for capitalist gains as it’s on property. They advertise a pool (one of the main reasons we picked the hotel), which we were told on arrival has been closed for years, yet no thought to advertise this online was thought of? No instead they keep a picture of said swimming pool online when it would be...
We came here on a two night break had a lovely welcome, our room was very big and the bed comfortable. The staff in the bar couldn’t do enough for you so welcoming,we got the bus into Cambridge no problem had a great stay
I just want to say that I had one of my best weekends with my family at the CAMBRIDGE BAR HILL Hotel in March 2026. A really memorable stay. I would like to thank all the staff for their most amazing welcome to the three of us, but especially to my two year old nephew. We cannot wait to return as your guests again. A very special thank you to Elia, Stefan, Tom, Sally and Peter. You have no idea...
I stayed in a "premium" king room. There was nothing premium about it. The bathroom was in VERY poor condition, and hadn't been cleaned prior to checking in. Hard to flush toilet Poor shower Cracked sink Badly marked mirror. We found the food and service to be excellent!, although at £10.20 for a glass of wine, the drinks were a bit pricy.
Clean, comfortable and spacious room, helpful and friendly staff, amazing breakfast

The service is fine, but I found kettle broken how ever even to the change a new one form me the New one could don’t use
This was my second stay at the hotel in a single room 114. I decided to stay again as it was very good value and a fairy short walk into Cambridge. I had a different single room than before and it was Ok. It had a decent shower and a comfortable bed. I was very cosy. The room had T and coffee facilities, and a T pot that I greatly appreciated during my last stay. I had a better view in this single...
Great location and parking, but you will get charged £18 through here or third party. That stung. Room okay and quiet, but not the cleanest I've been too. Reception did sales talk for restaurant, say rather full and book early, a con, there was 1 person eating. Meal was fair but over priced. Had to wait over 10 minutes to pay and that because I got up and waited at the terminal. Regarding the...
This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the UK, much better than other £100 rooms in other cities. The environment is excellent. It is located right opposite the river where we could walk around, and there was a beautiful backyard where guests could sit and enjoy food and drinks. The breakfast they offered was very nice, with plenty of choices. It was very peaceful and enjoyable just spending...
Excellent location (10 mins away from King's Parade and the city centre), but a rather dated hotel. Cleanliness was also poor with lots of hair in the bathroom and on the carpet upon entering. Still decent value for money and is suitable for short stays.
Everything else was good, it's just that the facilities are a bit old, and the desk lamp wasn't working properly.

Walking distance to central Cambridge, clean, tidy and avaliable parking. Just what we wanted for our 2 days trip.
Nice clean hotel in excellent location with parking as a much needed bonus. Easy walk to city centre and attractions. Nice cooked breakfast. Could do with air con in lower restaurant as it was very warm in there and didn’t like the strict NO TAKEAWAY in your room policy as we sometimes like to just chill in our room in the evening after a busy day.

Brilliant service room lovely breakfast great and the services from was fantastic Front desk lady was very attentive will definitely recommend this hotel
Nice hotel at a reasonable price Centralish location, 10 min walk to train station or into town Very nice breakfast
Every thing was just fine for a 3 star hotel. Walls thin as paper, we could hear the couple next door as we were in the same room. Unfortunately for us they were fighting all morning

Would highly recommend, slept really well. Lovely clean bedrooms and was very lucky to get a parking space 5 min walk to city centre
I stayed here on my own for 2 nights in December and is thought it was lovely. Victorian building, with plenty of charm, features and creaks, letting you know how old and well maintained it is. My room was plenty big enough for me, a lovely comfortable bed, heating, TV, everything I needed really. Bathroom was good, all worked perfectly, no problems at all. Location is great, short walks to different...
The hotel is neat and clean, and so is the room. The receptionist was also able to help me change my rooms so I could have both rooms near each other. The only downside, perhaps, was the inability to serve an omelette, as I paid for an oriental breakfast, so I was a bit expecting that for my son. But overall, it's a great alternative to enjoying Cambridge! They also have car parks, and just ask them...
The traditional British-style exterior is very charming, with well-tended seasonal flowers beautifully adorning the entrance. The rooms are not spacious, but they are compact, cozy, and fully functional. Despite its excellent access to the center of Cambridge, it offers accommodation at a very reasonable price, making it a truly valuable find.
First of all, I'd like to thank them for their hospitality. They were friendly and courteous throughout my week-long stay. My room was clean, and they were helpful when I needed anything. I thought the hotel's location was excellent; I had easy access to everything. If I ever go back to Cambridge, it will definitely be my preferred accommodation. Thank you again for your quick, friendly conversations...
We were only here 1 night and although the bedroom and the shower room were very small they were clean and well equipped and absolutely fine. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful too. I'd be happy to book this hotel again.

The host were friendly and helpful. Clean and quiet room, and good breakfast. The free car park was nice to have. The building and facilities, although a bit dated, were good overall.
Our room was clean and spacious. The lighting in the room was not great. One day, no housekeeping was done. The hotel is very close to the Cambridge train station and there are lots of coffee shops near the hotel. We ate our breakfast there one morning.
Soooo welcoming Welcoming! Julie was the perfect host, lovely young gentleman showed me to my room, loved that as I had a long journey. Paul was friendly and had a nice breakfast. Would love to stay there again.
A really lovely place We stayed for a night and had a lovely time. The people who worked there were so lovely and accomodating. The room was really clean, the bed was super comfy and the coffee/tea station in the room was really nice. We had breakfast in the morning and it was absolutey delicious. Overall a 10/10 stay.
The most intimate hotel I stayed in in Cambridge, comfortable and warm, with very convenient transportation, next to a food supermarket and Costa, and very close to the train station and bus station.
A family of three booked a family suite. The room had four beds, which was quite big. The hotel is quite old, and it is an old-fashioned hotel + restaurant. The first floor is the hotel bar, and the second floor is the guest room. The door is still opened with a key. If you like the British style of the 1990s, you can try it. The hotel still uses a book to check in, which is very old school. When registering...

Friendly reception, clean room
Clean, friendly, comfortable and affordable - this is an option that ticks all the boxes! All stages of booking and arrival were straightforward. The accommodation was unfussy but absolutely fine for the reasonable price. Everything worked well and was comfortable. Excellent sleep quality, which had not been the cace in other, pricier stops on my trip! The breakfast was fine, though "snack" would...
Really nice guest house. My room was spacious, clean with modern furniture and a really comfy bed with good pillows as well. I liked the mini fridge in the room as well as an iron and ironing board. The guest house is allegedly a 20 minute walk from Cambridge Train Station and that it is easily walkable. DO NOT BELIEVE THIS. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND TAKE A CAB FOR AROUND £9.00. WORTH EVERY PENNY. No...
Great peaceful location close to the city centre, bus stop 10mins away along with numerous cafes & pubs. Room was lovely, very comfortable, warm & quiet. Added bonus of free parking on site & free wifi
Spent a night here prior to my daughter's graduation. Single room was small but comfortable and very well equipped with mini-fridge, kettle, iron, even a fan which unfortunately I did not find until the next morning! Generally very clean but could use a bit of hoovering under the bed. The only thing I didn't come across which I could have used would be something to chain my bicycle to outside.
A very peaceful guest house close to town. Very polite staff and clean and tidy rooms and facilities . Definitely a value for money. Love this place. Thank you ?

Amazing place, great value and delicious breakfast
Receptionist was super lovely and helpful with check in and was very friendly :)
The room is clean and hygienic. It is 3-4 kilometers away from the center of Cambridge. It can be reached by bus and it takes about 50 minutes to walk. The environment is good. The biggest problem is that the mobile phone signal is not good, especially the WiFi. Most of the time the signal is very poor or almost non-existent. Only one night the signal was OK
The environment is beautiful, the room facilities are average, but compared to the price it is still worth it
Great Location, Great Facilities. Great Staff. So Friendly
the room is quiet, neat and has a wonderful garden view!
