Reviews
Everything was very clean, tidy, and smelled fresh. We absolutely loved the breakfasts – there was a huge selection of food and everything we tried was delicious. The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and always willing to help with anything we needed.
The only small downside was that the rooms are quite small, which could be a bit challenging if you are traveling with larger suitcases. We also missed some kind of rack or space to hang wet towels, as it was difficult to dry them properly. Our room faced the main road, so there was some noise, but nothing that couldn’t be managed or that would seriously affect our stay.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.
The staff were warm and welcoming, and continued to be helpful during our stay. They gave us a list of recommendations for lunch and dinner options, which was perfect when lots of places were shut around the Christmas period. We were able to have a classic English-style Christmas lunch through one of their recommendations, with an additional 15% off due to staying at the Westbridge. We additionally had dinner at the hotel, where they offer pizzas, which also was a great quick option.
There was a bakery close by if you wanted a quick breakfast or lunch option, and the shopping centre was an easy walk, filled with vibrant shops and restaurants.
We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in London.
The hotel has a warm and cozy feel, just as we entered it was nicely decorated and it had mince pies in the reception, the breakfast area was beautifully decorated as well and it offers views of the street as well. The breakfast area had a patio as well which would be amazing to serve breakfast in summer there.
Our room was spacious enough (as spacious as it can get in UK), we had a huge balcony (same size as our room) and we had beautiful views of the street and street lights.
The bathroom was small but enough for what we needed.
The breakfast was good, a bit of everything eggs, bacon, sausages, pastries etc, these were refilled all the time and we always found an available table in the morning.
The staff was polite and helpful, when we arrived in our first day we requested an early check in, as we were super tired, and the room was ready for us (thank you). The reception staff was always polite and nice, they offered us discounts to some restaurants nearby which we appreciated (the British restaurant was pretty good).
Overall we were super pleased and would definitely come back.
The bathroom had and odd shower head, there wasn't a flexible one to use, it got really tough to use only that, especially when rinsing hair conditioner. After every shower, water was filling the floor, as the shower door couldn't close properly. It was super annoying to step every time in water after a shower.
At the breakfast we didn't get fresh coffee, the coffee machine served only instant coffee. That is a shame, for a 4 star hotel to serve low quality coffee.
On our first night I called the reception to ask for some help to turn up the heating (as I couldn't control it from the room), the receptionist confirmed he will turn up the heat. After one hour I called again and he said he will turn up the the heat. On our last night I found a letter in the room saying that "the ac system is malfunctioning and it may affect the room temperature in the room". I don't feel thats the way to send a message to the customer. I would have preferred to be called or told by the reception face to face about this issue, rather than to find a note under the phone.
I would have appreciated more storage for the clothing, the space was just insuficient. There was only a small closet with no shelves. The bed could have been more comfortable, the mattres was just too wobbly to sleep on.
All of the information we needed was fully explained included breakfast times, bar opening times, restaurant information.
All the info was also given to us including 15% discount on restaurants in the area.
We happened to be going to one of the restaurants so that was a great result.
It was the same with the night porter, housekeeping team and breakfast staff.
The room was big enough clean and a well equipped shower room. The bed was really comfortable.
The location is excellent for Westfield shopping centre, The 02 Arena, The Olympic Park, and Abba Voyage.
This was the second time I had stayed at The Westridge and I definitely would come again.
This was the second time that I had visited the Westridge.
The rooms are quite modern and well designed, and everything was working as it should. My room was quiet and peaceful, despite the hotel being right by the busy high street. I would have liked the bed to be a bit softer, but it was comfortable enough.
Staff were welcoming and efficient, both at reception and the breakfast/bar area. Breafkast was very good, with a decent selection of high quality hot and cold options - I was particularly impressed with their pastries.
Convenient location, with plenty of connections towards central London and many options for shopping and eating nearby
Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
If you’re looking for good service try the new MexiCasa restaurant next door or The Refreshment Room a little further along the high street.
I was extremely delighted at not only the reasonable of the set menu, but the sheer size of the portions! The food was authentic and quickly delivered (and devoured!) Will definitely be returning!
