This hotel has a really premium feel to it. The location is superb; you can take the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow Airport, get off at Russell Square, and the hotel is less than 100 meters away. Even with a large suitcase, it's easily manageable. It's also very close to the British Museum.
My single room, while not huge, was perfectly adequate, and I could fully open my 23-inch suitcase. The amenities provided were very comfortable.
The breakfast selection was extensive and very delicious. The service was also excellent. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to London!

The location is unbeatable, and the public areas are beautiful. It was the smallest room I've ever stayed in. In London, location isn't really that important because the subway system is so developed. I'd advise against it, I really would.

The room was clean and tidy, the location was excellent, and the facilities were comprehensive. It's very close to the British Museum, within walking distance. The overall architectural style is quite unique, and the breakfast was abundant. They even provided complimentary snacks and milk. It was all about the experience.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly across from Russell Square, and the British Museum is within walking distance. Transportation is incredibly convenient, with a subway station nearby. The hotel's cleanliness and service are both very good, and the breakfast is decent.

The hotel is a beautiful late-Victorian building, intricately designed yet retaining a stately elegance. It stands quietly on the street corner, as if frozen in time.
There was always a doorman on duty outside, no matter how early or late, which gave a wonderful sense of security. One tall, slender gentleman with black hair, dressed in a tuxedo and sporting a beautifully trimmed beard, seemed straight out of a Dickens novel.
The room itself was not large but felt very cozy and well-appointed. I was particularly pleased with the spacious bathroom. My only minor complaint was that the windows couldn't be opened, but many hotels do this, citing safety concerns.
The British Museum's back entrance is conveniently located just across the park downstairs. Most weekday mornings, the queues are minimal, which is a big plus.
The surrounding area is full of charming cafes, bakeries, and bookstores, perfect for a leisurely stroll and discovering hidden gems.
Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely book one of the front-facing rooms with an arched balcony!

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious and bright, with excellent and comfortable facilities. The breakfast spread was also very generous. Its location, right behind the British Museum, is superb; it was so convenient to walk back to the hotel to rest after a long day of exploring. They even provided complimentary luggage storage for us when we were transferring to Edinburgh. The doorman was proactive and enthusiastic, helping with our bags and calling a taxi. This was by far the most satisfying hotel of our entire UK trip, and we will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit.

A beautifully designed, 135-year-old hotel that's spotlessly clean and offers superb service. It's perfectly located right on Russell Square, just a 5-minute walk to the British Museum, 2 minutes to the Piccadilly Line tube station, and 10 minutes to the famous Victolian Coffee Shop for brunch. The hotel's in-house Western restaurant was fantastic, offering fresh ingredients and excellent flavors. The staff were also exceptionally attentive and thoughtful. Couldn't recommend it enough!

As ever the staff were kind and attentive. The room while a queen room was snug but lovely. We were able to access toothbrushes complimentary and room service was always super speedy. While the Kimptom market their wellness menu I would urge you to book these in advance as the listed items were not available during our stay. Area is perfect for access to bus and tube stations, easy cab hails by hotel staff and gorgeous architecture. The housekeeping staff were meticulous.
