An absolutely wonderful experience for my short stay. The staff is wonderful, and depending on your package, you can find packages that can justify the price, but for my one-night stay, that wasn't the case. It's close to the Central Palace of Culture, and the room is beautiful. The coffee machine next to the main desk makes more than decent coffee, which was unexpected. Highly recommended.

A modern, well-equipped, and affordable hotel. The rooms are smaller but well-equipped with an iron/ironing board, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, etc. The bed was small for a double room, but I'm a big guy! The air conditioning worked great, and the staff were friendly.

The staff were rude, not appreciative. Expensive and not worth the price. A Travelodge is better

My husband and I booked to stay at Leonardo Hotel Manchester Central for four nights for our staycation in Manchester, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.

On arrival, the room itself wasn’t terrible at first glance, but there was a large stain on the carpet right at the entrance, which immediately gave a poor first impression.

The biggest issue was the bathroom. It is extremely outdated and in serious need of renovation. The shower is over a bath with a curtain (which felt very old-fashioned), and every time we had a shower, water pooled onto the bathroom floor, leaving it wet and uncomfortable. It did not give a proper “hotel” feel at all. The paint was peeling, the doors looked aged, and the overall condition suggested the hotel has not been properly refurbished in a long time. The sink drain was also stuck, which made using the bathroom quite unpleasant.
Housekeeping was also disappointing. On our first day, we accidentally spilled coffee on the bedsheet. However, the sheets were not changed for three nights despite daily room servicing. When we raised the issue, the manager explained that linens are changed every three days. While I understand that policy, a visibly stained sheet should be replaced during routine cleaning without guests having to request it. Eventually, the manager brought us fresh sheets, but we had to change the bed ourselves as housekeeping was closed for the day.

To be fair, the staff were polite and responsive. The manager offered us two complimentary drinks as a goodwill gesture, and I appreciate that he tried to resolve the situation.

However, the facilities themselves are the real issue. The hotel urgently needs renovation. Compared to Leonardo Hotel Bristol City, where we previously had a fantastic experience, this location fell far below expectations. Our wonderful stay in Bristol was the reason we chose this Manchester hotel, which made the disappointment even greater.

We were so uncomfortable with the condition of the room that we decided to check out a full day earlier than planned, losing 24 hours’ payment. Unfortunately, when we checked out early, the receptionist did not ask why we were leaving ahead of schedule.

Overall, while the staff were courteous, the facilities at this location are outdated and do not reflect the standard we expected from the Leonardo brand. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made.

Our room was nicely decorated and very clean but it was SO small. The door actually hit the bed as we opened the door.
A few of our friends booked the same night/same rate and they got rooms with two beds or standard sized rooms so we were quite disappointed with ours.

I would like to say a big thank you to the male member of staff that was on reception the night of the 14th. We were eating a takeaway in the lobby and he organised getting us some salt for our food. He didn’t have to but we appreciated his efforts for this.

Also, the discounted parking at Q was only for prepaid tickets and was displayed on the check-in desk (after we had already parked up). It would be helpful if this discount could be applied to those of us that pressed for a ticket at the car park barrier and a pay at the machines. Apparently the information was sent through via email, but I didn’t see this.
Thanks.

Excellent stay although breakfast was a circus. Not enough staff to clean and reset tables. Please get an extra pair of hands at peak times.

Clean, comfortable, and easily walkable to/from just about anything you would want to do in the city centre. Restaurant made my life easier due to the convenience. Decently priced, considering all this! I would especially like to recognize manager Sandra for being so warm and accommodating! This really makes someone feel welcome when they are far from home. :)

The bedrooms are clean and bright. Beds are very comfortable. Staff are helpful. The downside is that the bar/restaurant area is soulless. It reminded me of a school cafeteria. The menu is limited with fairly average fare. For a business trip it was fine.
Location for the convention centre/ Deansgate was great.

Came here yesterday with my partner and absolutely loved it. We was really fortunate to be given a seat at the bar after walking in and found it to be a really great place with a great atmosphere. The food was perfect and had so much flavour. Also the staff were great. Would defiantly come back again next time we're in the city.

Enjoyable experience with a true Spanish feel!
Tapas offer was great value and the food and service was brill.

I went here late afternoon at the weekend only to be greeted by a rude front on house gentleman, that couldn’t be bothered and turned us away saying they are fully booked when clearly the place was less than half full.
I’ve been many times before but, will not be returning to feel uncomfortable.

Great Saturday lunch. Wonderful atmospheric venue, good size and well staffed. Service and quality were excellent even on a busy sitting. We had 9 tapas between 3, each very different and delicious. This was entirely sufficient for us but we couldn't resist dessert and coffee. All good.

Visited here for the first time on a busy Friday night. The Christmas Markets were on and it was shortly after knocking off time but our group of 3 were quickly and politely seated within a few minutes of arriving.

Food was expensive for what you got when compared to things like 'beer and a burger' at Wetherspoons. I'd definitely recommend the fries though as they were very filling with different toppings.

Only negatives were the loud music and having to wait nearly 15 minutes for the bill.

Just amazing good, definitely nothing slimming world or WW friendly but so reliably good. Not the cheapest but definitely the best. Drinks menu is pretty extensive

We went there with no reservations on a Saturday night and it was crowded. We were seated within 15 minutes without issue. It is quite a loud place, as you may suspect, so conversations can be a challenge. The bartender was mixing the drinks at a face pace and from what we saw, she was not skimping on the alcohol. The burger choices are a bit overwhelming especially if you just want a plain cheese burger. The fried pickles are a good treat so be sure to ask for them as they are not on the menu as a side. Overall, the burgers were a bit overcooked. The toppings were plenty and delicious. You should now understand why there are paper towels on the table (eating is messy). Try the shakes (we didn't ) as they looked yummy.

If you've ever used the phrase "Cheeky Nandos" either ironically or not, you'll like it.

Fantastic burgers. The beef its self lacking but make up for it with sauce that is unmatched. It is the kinda of place that is part of the recently overly excessive burgers. I went during a £10 for a burger and beer with fries and found this to be a great deal.

Nice interior, friendly staff.

Great food and nice staff. Pricey it has to be said, but a very nice meal. A little note, the chips have large portions... And enough for two people who consume an average amount of food. Me and my girlfriend ordered one each and had to battle through them because there was so much!

Good place tho. Give it a go.

Good hospitality.
Reasonably priced drinks.
Readily accessible for theatres -Bridgewater, Palace and Opera house.
Good shows but far too expensive the drinks at all three theatres and pubs nearby.

Good as a English bar. More of contemporary e flush and with young crowd. Wide range of drinks and good food. It’s a great place for college friends to hang out.
05.12.2017 Pete
Large pub with plenty of seating good atmosphere, food served is typical weatherspoons menu as in you know what to expect.

Food quality decent and choice of real ales on draft and bottled.
Gets busy on Saturdays with it being in the town centre
03.12.2017 Matt
The steak club serves up steaks that are on point, better quality than more expensive rival pub chain restaurants, hands down the best tasting steaks I've eaten (and I've paid over £25 for a steak that wasn't as tasty as this). The burgers are always great and the prices are very good. The Paramount does get busy after the offices spill out at 5pm but normally you can find a seat unless there is a number of events on around Town.

Great beer. Food better than average. Can get busy
