Edinburgh Nine in Edinburgh

We recently stayed at Virgin Hotels Edinburgh and booked a Family Chamber. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt premium.

The hotel itself is stunning. The design, atmosphere and attention to detail throughout the building really stand out. It manages to feel luxurious while still being relaxed and welcoming.

The Family Chamber was spacious, beautifully designed and perfect for our stay. Extremely comfortable beds, plenty of room, and everything finished to a very high standard. It felt modern, stylish and thoughtfully laid out for families.

The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Edinburgh and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. Everything is on your doorstep, which makes exploring the city effortless.

The staff were fantastic. Friendly, professional and attentive throughout. From check in to check out, everything was smooth and well organised.

Overall, a brilliant stay in a standout hotel. Stylish, comfortable and perfectly located. We would absolutely return and highly recommend.

Both me and my partner stayed the afternoon/evening here with Afternoon tea and the whole experience was Awesome. Manager Ed was kind enough to show us the VIP Suites and what a cool experience overall Hotel was outstanding a little Gem in my Home City of Edinburgh.

Unfortunately Hotel was near a local Nightclub and could hear the music until 3:30am otherwise we would have left all 5 stars.

The hotel team are extremely friendly and helpful whether on the desk, restaurants or bars. They all were super happy and friendly.
We booked a castle view room , which is great, funky, modern and stylish and above all clean.
Free happy hour each day, certainly was an added bonus. Great way to meet other guests during your stay.
Location for the old town is second to none, with views over Edinburgh, the Castle and Greyfriars Churchyard from the terrace. Its a 10 minute downhill walk to Princess Street for shopping and the rail station at Waverly. Obviously up hill on the way back lol.

I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was incredibly clean and well maintained, which made me feel comfortable right away. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The location was so perfect and made getting around so easy. I would absolutely book here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

We had our daughter’s wedding at the Virgin Hotel Edinburgh in June 2025, and it truly was the best day from start to finish. From the very first enquiry, Jo was absolutely fantastic, so helpful, professional, and supportive throughout the entire planning process. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

On the day itself, Jo, Luke and her whole team went above and beyond to make sure everything ran perfectly. The attention to detail and care shown to us and our guests was outstanding and made the day completely stress-free.

We stayed for two nights at the hotel, the rooms were extremely comfortable and beautifully presented, and the food was amazing, so many of our guests commented on how good it was.

We cannot thank Jo and the Virgin Hotel Edinburgh team enough for creating such a memorable and special wedding experience. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone considering it for a wedding or special occasion.

Very nice little apartment, just to the side of the Castle. Great location and comfy bed. Having a separate kitchen/ dinning space is great, as it allows for healthier eating.
Having luggage storage all day on check out day is a big plus
