It was a horrible experience to be honest. I would prefer a proper hotel over this place anytime. The room is MUCH smaller than how it looks in the photos. Don’t go expecting a nice apartment. It is an ex dorm room and quite a small one. The room has an unpleasant and pungent smell to it. I am sensitive with smells so it was difficult for me to stay in the room. The bed is quite small but comfortable. The kitchen has full amenities but quite small. We had wifi problems during our stay and we didn’t have a connection for around 10 hours. We also had a disruption to the tv service on a separate day for around 3 hours. On both occasions we tried to reach the lobby but they didn’t pick up. Overall I wouldn’t stay here ever again.

We stayed there for one night. The building is actually a student dormitory used by the university and it was under construction. Room was clean however felt a bit cramped. Breakfast was okay, didn’t have various options.

We ordered superior studio for 4 people. In the description photos, there should be an attic in the room.

However, the hotel arranged a room without attic to us. Instead, we received a room with corridor and separated bedrooms.

Just not the same as what we had ordered.

1b1b apartment at very great location near royal mile and train station. Other floors are for U of Edinburgh students. Room is clean and the kitchen tools are provided. Check in and check out are very smooth.

Very clean and tidy apartment but no air-conditioner. Kind of expensive if based on provided stuff in hotel. No tissue paper or paper tow provided. Internet connection is not user-friendly.

Fresh, authentic and great tasting Pakistani/Indian food. The best in Edinburgh by far. The food is great. If you are coming to the restaurant for food, you will like the place for sure. Keema matar is the best I've tasted.... Self service drinks make this a relaxed place to eat. Probably the best Pakistani restaurant in Edinburgh. I highly recommend Kabob Mehal!

The kebab is good. The price is a little bit more expressive than others. Go for chicken kebab which is the best.

If you don't have much time - good to visit - otherwise - don't bother. We've ordered classic, medium kebab - it's totally not worth the price. 4£ for not big amount of chicken with a little bit of tomatoes and cucamber. You've got everything on a small plate.

Extra fee when you want to pay by card which seems ridiculous.

As a pros I'd count - sauces - hot is really hot and garlic one tastes like garlic.

Excellent Indian food (and of course kebabs) in a friendly cafe type setting that is a favourite of performers in the Fringe. Very tasty food in big portions with quick service at really competitive prices. Takeaways is available (which they won awards for!).

An excellent kebab shop with great lamb and chicken curries as well as the usual kebabs.

Kebab Mahal doesn't look great, in fact the decor is pretty basic but this is irrelevant because the food is great, the people are really friendly and the prices low.

Can't really go wrong here.

Nearly crashed into 1 of the delivery drivers because he wasn't looking where he was going, I beeped my horn then he rolls down his window and verbally abuses me, is that part of the service ?

my son ordered around midnight AFTER GETTING HOME FROM WORK looked on line to see how it was getting on ,,at the start looked ok BUT @ 2 AM in the morning got a phone call saying they could not deliver ( THE DOORBELL IS LOUD JUST IN CASE YOU THINK IT MUST BE QUITE ALSO WE DO HAVE A PHONE THEY COULD HAVE PHONED HIM IF THEY ""WERE AT THE DOOR AT ALL "" AND GETTING NO ANSWER )

Had the chicken burger and fries. Very nice and big portion but the burger was not as flavorful as I would have liked but it was okay. Nice staff and quick service.

I would recommend to try their fish and chips which is absolutely fresh and delicious. The price is very reasonable. Service is relatively good.

Food here was lovely and comes in quite large portions. The prices are reasonable and the staff were very friendly and to top it all off, they have a 20% student discount. Perfect for the financially restricted students.
