I stumbled upon this guest house after much searching. I wanted 6 nights away to cove my birthday to get away from thr fuss at home and this was ideal. The room was very clean, the breakfast was excellent and Jane, the host, was attentive and genuine I would happily stay again.

Room was nice and clean and window overlooked the street. Wifi signal somewhat weak. Bus station right outside across the street. Bathroom was shared with one other room, but never saw them. Bathroom was clean and well-maintained, however the water pressure in the shower was a bit weak. There was a sink in the room, which made it easier to get ready for bed or ready in the morning since I didn't have to leave the room for the outside bathroom. Owner/hostess was lovely and full breakfast in the morning served between 8-9am was delicious.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in ediburgh which was our first ever trip into scotland. The hotel was amazing and a very nice property. The staff are brilliant and helpful and really look after you. The room was nice and big and clean and the on suite was nice too. The breakfast was nice and loads of options to choose from. Also parking was good. The hotel is in a very good spot to the city and with regular buses stopping outside too is a bonus as you can get on them to get into the city and other places to visit. I would defintely come back to ediburgh and stay again at this lovely hotel. Thank you for your hospitality during our stay.

The location was excellent with buses every few minutes to get into the city centre. Although the bed was comfortable, the room was in need of an update. The ensuite was small & the shower cubicle itself was tiny, the shower door was flimsy & wouldn't stay shut at the bottom. The cooked breakfast was in pans for guests to help themselves. It was warm at best & the plates were cold. There were toast & cold buffet options. We paid over £900 for 3 nights in August (Edinburgh fringe festival time) we knew prices were higher at that time but it was not worth £900+.

Found the guest house to be very dated. Wallpaper was dirty as behind the mirror was clean. The whole place had an odour which whilst not pungent its not inviting. Breakfast was about average. Staff were friendly and helpful. 20 mins walk to city center. Overall just average.

We had booked the Ben Doran Guesthouse for 2 nights around the 6-nations rugby match. We got the “downstairs” bedroom which was large, quiet and with a big comfortable bed. That, together with a good quality included breakfast, made this a very pleasant place to stay at a reasonable price. Very much worth coming back to.

Just had a lovely three night stay, a recent 70th birthday gift for my husband. Very comfortable room, quite cosy. Stayed in room 11, which was on suite and faced on to the garden area which was nice and quiet. Only downfall was it's a fair climb to the top, as on the top floor. So bear in mind if you have poor mobility, as couldn't see a lift. Breakfast was nice and adequate. Plenty of choice. The waitress were all very friendly and helpful. Journey in to the city couldn't be easier. Directly across the road runs several buses, we used to check with the driver anyway, Princess St is nearest to the attractions. Fantastic Christmas market, buildings all lit up nicely too. Great atmosphere. All in all a good trip. Dec 2024

Our b and b host recommended this restaurant. I really enjoyed the food here. My wife and I got garlic naan with our meal which seemed to be made fresh. I had a Cobra beer which was great. As for the main course, im afraid the Cobra for me as I can't remember what I got but it was delicious.
Don't discount my opinion as I am way more judgemental after a drink or two! The main course was so packed with flavor and everything tasted fresh I can't imagine Indian food can get any better than this. Definitely give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

We are always very happy coming to the Delhi Diner. We have been coming for many years and have never been disappointed. Food is excellent,staff are friendly and helpful. Very nice to be here again.
