 I was staying in a large room, but there was exterior wall maintenance work going on outside. The windows were completely covered with scaffolding, making it impossible to look outside. After complaining, it took them two days to finally move me to a smaller room, which at least had a view outside. Not good time to stay with them until the construction finish. 

Hotel was good location is on amazing place between the streets but i found red stains on bedsheet everything except that is good ..

It was a bit hard to find the hotel given there are constructions taking place now. But the hotel is clean and breakfast is awesome too

The room was pretty similar to hotels back home, though some of the facilities were a bit dated. The shower stall didn't have a door, so water splashed out, and there was scaffolding on the outside of the hotel.

We have stayed here several times before and have always been satisfied with this hotel. We stayed for two nights this time;. Good breakfast, plenty of choice. We had left 2 bath towels to be changed and used cups from our morning tea but when we returned for the second evening we only had one bath towel replaced along with a fresh hand towel and bath mat (not needed). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast offered a great variety of options. It's within walking distance to all the city's attractions. I especially recommend the Sofia Restaurant downstairs; their food is top-notch. The grilled lamb chops and stewed lamb shank were delicious and reasonably priced. I ended up eating there twice!

This hotel's location is a little far. there is no good restaurants or supermarket besides. Not convenience for travelers. Also the room is not clean enough (I found hair on the bed). The shower's water is not strong enough and not comfortable having shower. I am not really like this hotel.

An extremely comfortable and pleasant room to stay. What I liked most: a big bed, carpeting, long couch, many sockets, tea set, many towels and hygiene supplies, thermostat, big windows. Stayed here before. Lovely hotel and easy access from buses from park and ride ...as well as buses to areas of the city we were going to on our trip. Staff as always excellent, efficient and very friendly. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant and staff here again were very helpful and lovely.

I have to give this hotel a big thumbs-up. Each floor has a purified water dispenser, and they even leave little biscuits in the room every day. The hotel is right next to Edinburgh Castle, and since Edinburgh isn't that big, it's convenient to get anywhere from here.

The hotel room had a view of Edinburgh Castle, which was amazing! Besides the standard breakfast items, we could also order an additional hot meal every day, which was a nice touch. The hotel's location is also very convenient for getting around. I really enjoyed Edinburgh and would definitely consider staying at this hotel again on my next visit.

This is meant to be a 4 star city-centre hotel and it is therefore expected that the facilities on offer will include a bar and dining facilities. This is not the case. While there is a bar and restaurant it transpires that the bar has not opened since COVID. In addition, while the restaurant serves a very nice breakfast, it does not serve lunch, snacks or dinner. I have stayed in many hotels before. However this one was a very disappointing stay. The room isn't very big, and it's right next to the train station. It's also very close to the main attractions. It's newly renovated and very clean. There are also quite a few complimentary drinks. It's suitable for a short stopover.

The room is very small. It can be frustrating if you choose a room that has everything but doesn't open the window. And the room was so cold that I slept with the warm air on. Other than that, everything was fine. The location was very good and there were many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it was very convenient. I think it is a hotel with many advantages.

The room was tiny, and the bedside table was minuscule. It made for a very uncomfortable stay. However, the front desk service was quite good. They even offered complimentary biscuits and some water.

Never stay in room 506. I didn't sleep all night because doors were constantly slamming. It was the worst night of my entire trip, and the room is right next to the elevator. Overall, the hotel itself is good, conveniently located, and clean, but everything depends on your room's location.

This is your typical Holiday Inn hotel. Nice, hearty breakfast, clean rooms and parking available at an additional cost. I stayed for 1 night and enjoyed my stay there. The reception staff were helpful and the restaurant staff were attentive. Would stay here again.

After the learning curve you may understand the UK parking system a little bit. The customer need be cautious for every tricky there.

Holiday inn as usually, they rooms are always clean and well kept. Opposite the hotel has a shopping areas with Burger King. There is also a 24hrs petrol station down the road incase u arrival late for check in or u are hungry for a snack. Road will be quite packed during the peak hour. Walking to dean village is about 30min

The room quality is on par with a 3-star hotel in China. The hotel staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, but the room layout was quite odd and winding. The bed wasn't very big either. It's super convenient if you want to visit Calton Hill, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're primarily interested in the city center, as it's about a 20-minute walk.

The service far exceeded my expectations!! I originally booked the Indigo Edinburgh, but due to renovations, they didn't inform me beforehand. When I checked in, they switched me to one of their backup hotels, which was completely different in price and class! I was furious! The Indigo's service and management are terrible!! It happened to be a weekend in Edinburgh, and I almost couldn't book a hotel...

We were placed on the second floor below ground level. There was no quiet, and the noise was constant. There was a storage room next door. The towels in the bathroom looked like they had just been folded and left there. I wanted to change rooms, but they said they only had one family room.

It looks like student accommodation from the outside however the Scholar Hotel has been refurbished and the interior is beautiful. Our room was clean with very comfortable beds.  The staff were friendly and efficient.  It is not in the centre of Edinburgh but was convenient for an interview at The Usher building which was a 10 minute drive away.  We would stay again.

The hotel is quite large and in a great location, but our room was probably cheaper, so it was on the first floor with a direct view of the street, meaning the curtains couldn't be opened. Wonderful location with an adorable room. I also bought a some food for a pack lunch for a tour the next day but there wasn’t a fridge and the staff was super helpful by keeping the food in a fridge until the morning for me.

Had a good time especially the leisure centre, although its about 40mins to the city centre, there is a bus stop and bus available to town. Courteous staff, clean and I loved the spa bath most importantly.
