Nice hotel apart from being on the third floor, and the lift only went to the first floor. Had two flight of stairs with a heavy suitcase. So not practical for a disabled or older person.

One of the coziest and warmest hotel in old town of Edinburgh with the cutest small pub! Highly recommended.

Location of this place can’t be largely ignored at all. Just at the bottom of the stretch of Harry Potter restaurant! And just at the base of Edinburgh castle too. Amazing service

The location of the hotel is excellent for exploring the Old Town. The room was very clean, a little noisy at night, you are above a pub. (The hotel do provide ear plugs!) Room size was cozy but with everything we needed. Staff were great. Breakfast next door was yummy!. Will see definitely be back.

The room was small but functional, very convenient because it's super central. Breakfast was limited to a buffet, but you could choose from a selection of dishes offered by the pub.

This is an old-established hotel, excellent location and friendly staff. However, it does show signs of age. There was a very strong smell and mildew / damp in the hallway by the lifts on our bedroom floor, which wasn't good. The room and facilities were perfectly ok, but everything could do with a refresh.

Had a lovely stay here. Comfy bed, tasty breakfasts and helpful staff. On the 23 bus route which took us all over the city and to the Botanical Gardens. Walked home over the Meadows and Bruntsfield Links a few times from the city centre. Hotel located in nice area. Will be back.

Excellent location super clean well designed apartment

We stayed there for one night. The building is actually a student dormitory used by the university and it was under construction. Room was clean however felt a bit cramped. Breakfast was okay, didn’t have various options.

It’s a nice, historic property but rooms could use some updating. Staff were very friendly. Not a great location if your trip centers around Old Town and the Royal Mile. It’s a good value property if you don’t mind walking 15 min. to where the action is.

We were surprised to learn our room was in an annex to the hotel and required a walk down spiral concrete staircase to a basement with an outside entrance. We upgraded to a more expensive room in the hotel.

The room was very good - up to date, clean, good location, and nice accommodations. The walls are thin and we heard our neighboring rooms going in and out - slamming doors from 9pm to 4 am... disrupted a lot of sleep.

All the usual good things about Premier Inn, where you know what you will get. A good sized and well set up room with a very comfortable bed. The location is good, with easy public transport in to Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they lose a star because despite paying over £100 a night room only, they then want to charge for parking. That's just irritating and unecessary

It was great to stay at the Ceilidh Donia! The owners are always ready to help, its located in a quiet neighbourhood and the bus takes you within 20 min to the old town :) i would recommend

We had a wonderful stay in the Rectory suite. There were added complimentary items such as fruit, water, truffles, crisps,Nespresso machine with pods, lots of expensive toiletries and because we booked direct a bottle of champagne. It was a nice and quiet place to stay. There was quick response to customers' request. Good customer service. There was easy access to transportation to the city centre from there. A strategic location too. But food is not part of their provision. I stayed for just one night and have no regrets. I enjoyed my stay there.

Had no water supply during my stay, was given an emergency room to for all of the hotel to use as they advised it was an issue with cold water supply in rooms 8-25. It was average. We were staying for 3 nights, they came to clean once. The wifi was awful, my phone couldn't stay on it for one minute, so i just used mobile data. The beds, the bathroom was great, the mugs were dirty. The receptionist was rarely in his place, but we didn't need to each for any help so I don't know that he would have been available for us if we faced any problem.

Lovely hotel, I had a great stay here. The rooms were lovely and big and I loved the decor. The reception lobby has a lovely fireplace. The staff at the reception were amazing, very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be going back to stay again in the future :)

Found the hotel a really nice sta. Fantastic location very close to Waverley. Didn’t get breakfast so can’t comment on food/service but everything else was great. Will be looking to stay there again next time I’m in Edinburgh.

I booked a king-size bed room and requested a quiet and non-smoking room. Due to language problems, the check-in was very considerate. The front desk could store my luggage. Location wise this place is great it’s on the royal mile and close to the train station, plenty of pubs, eateries and the castle itself. We went during December so we’re also close to the Christmas market. Came in, had a wee bevvy. Quite a nice place as I was with my Father who enjoys the finer things, definitely tickled his fancy. We had an amazing experience with a member of staff, and whose name I believe was Ishbell, so lovely and full of joy, really made our experience so much better due to her upbeat personality. This place is so lovely! We stayed in room 10 which was on the top floor. The room was gorgeous and had everything you would need. There was a hair drier, hair straighteners, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Everything was great quality including a small smog fridge in the room. Felt luxurious but cosy. The Haymarket hotel is very conveniently located, it"s easy to get from both the train station and the airport by bus. When I checked in, the girl on the reception kindly helped me carry my suitcase up the steps. I am very grateful to her. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day.
