I didn't stay, but I'd like to thank the staff and everyone who helped with the pregnant woman today. You were all amazing and so kind, efficient, and helpful. Thank you for helping me help her and maintaining her dignity. Amazing.

Vintage touch with a carpet and wooden desk. I loved it. Spacious rooms for the price with a bathtub. Only drawback. There are no power sockets next to the bed. Perfect location next to the castle. I have not heard any noise at night. Super quiet.

I requested a room away from the road and got one which was appreciated. Really warm welcome from reception staff on arrival and in the restaurant at breakfast, which was excellent. Reception areas, bar, restaurant and lifts were all modern, clean and offered plenty of seating. Our room was very clean and the bed/pillows were very comfortable. If i was being really picky the room, bathroom and corridor could probably do with a refurb or bit of tlc but for a 1 or 2 night stay the hotel ticks all the boxes and we were really pleased that we chose Holiday Inn.

Room was a little bit small and it was extremely hot at night because the AC was on heater mode and if we turned it off we could only rely on opening the windows for ventilation. But staffs were very kind and offered us two fans. Toilet was also a bit tiny but the rest is alright.

Good facilities, great location, clean and tidy room. Nice and spacious. Helpful staff. Downside is having to pay for parking, but otherwise a great place to stay.

There should be clear information outside the hotel so that drivers know what they should do first before parking at the back of the hotel. Because the paying for the parking is not that easy for people who have travelled abroad to do.

Birthday celebration with one of my oldest and dearest friends. Started well had starters but waited 1hr for main course waitress said it was because of the time our starters were served however 10 tables were occupied in the time we were waiting all had starters, mains and deserts before we were served our main course. When the waitress eventually arrived all she said was well ladies do you want your food or not. Very poor customer service which spoilt it for me, the bill came to £107 have had better service at a fraction of the price.

Interesting ambient and good selection of gins but ... we got oversalted food. Wines were highly overpriced (Kleine Zalze bottle for £28!) and very average service - forgotten at the waiting area, we needed to ask to be seated. Very long wait for main. No attention to empty water and wine glasses. Overall, there is a potential, but they should stop behaving like pub.

There is little complain about with the Potted pig. Food is second to none. Fantastic. Every starter ordered was fab, every main you would have been happy to have had and the desserts all original and tasty. That said the place is in a cellar and lacks any real presence from a ambience perspective. A bit dingy, with no windows but service was good. A little bit pricey but no complaints as the food was fantastic.

Great food, great service.
But beware, we were over charged by £91.00.
When I booked over the phone ,I had to pay £60 deposit which was only taken off the final bill when questioned. Also the £31. Service charge which was added. This was also taken off the bill.
Call me old fashioned but I like to pay the waiter/ waitress in hand , which we did personally.
