Was a bit hard to find but did! For the price was fine nothing fancy but for one night to just sleep on bed and go was good.

Hotel is ok if you want a night in Cardiff but its very noisey, found it difficult to sleep baecause you can here all the noise on St Marys Street, also there was no bottle water in room which was disappointing for money spent.

I FEEL VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE CONDITIONS OF THE ROOM AND THE BATHROOM. THE BED WAS TOO SOFT AND THE SINK IN THE BATHROOM ARE VERY DIRTY. THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY, APART FROM IT I WOULDNT STAY THERE FOR THE NEXT TRIP.

Excellent location, arrived by train, which is just a 5 min walk. Staff were lovely, bedrooms were warm and clean. And the breakfast was delicious! ( only slight criticism… the coffee not great , could do with a fancy coffee machine, giving the options of different styles of coffees )
Otherwise would definitely be returning in the future .

We went to the Royal Hotel not really knowing what to expect.

It is set with a lovely building. The architecture is beautiful.

The hotel is set out in an odd way but I think that adds the character. You enter on the ground floor, go up two floors to reception. There is a small bar there that offers free teas and coffees.

The slug and lettuce down stairs provides you with 20% off of food if you show your keycard.

The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.

Location is good and because we were on the 4th floor we couldn’t hear the noise for the streets below.

The room was ok. Aircon in the room with tea and coffee.

Now two great points that I’ve been saving….!!

1. The shower! Let me tell you something it’s like I was sat in a typhoon, Cardiff clearly doesn’t have an issue with its water pressure!

2. The bed, it was luxurious, I was able to sink and sleep so soundly! We need this bed for our house!

Guy who served me was one of the most miserable human beings I have ever come across. I ordered a breakfast sub, he didn't offer salad so I asked if I could have some and he said I could have 'a bit' in a rude manner. I am offered salad in any other store. Food was good though!

Always have a great time in this place and I've been going here for years. Is in a great position in Cardiff and is fantastic inside. The staff are always polite professional and the food is always well cooked and tasty!
