Hotel is in the city centre, so its very noisy but if you book a room here then you should already know, its glorious inside, it's massive! Loved the continent location of the hotel across the road is the castle too, very close to the train station loved all the convince. The location of this hotel is perfect. The room was comfortable and clean. It’s such a beautiful hotel but does need a revamp to give if a bit of love. The lift wasn’t working but they were happy to help me with my suitcases to the 3rd floor.

The hotel is in need of a complete refurbishment. There is peeling window frames and wallpaper and the lifts don't work - not for the old and infirm. The room we were given was on the second floor and we were told it was overlooking the Castle which we couldn't see through dirty windows. Its a shame really as the hotel is very much part of Cardiff's history but you get the impression that the owners...

Stayed here as great location for winter wonderland. Asked for a room with a view if possible as it was a special trip and had a lovely view of the castle all lit up for Christmas

Stay here for a night but the service is beyond my expectations. I got a free upgrade to the larger room than what I've reserved with three beds, castle view through the window, they brought my luggage to the 3rd floor for free as well cause there's no lift in the hotel. Perfect, would recommend you to stay here!

Lovely stay again. Friendly service and pleasant staff. After having an issue with the car park lift we got an upgrade which included access to the executive lounge which was a lovely touch. Drinks, snacks and hot food included. Its not out first stay here and we will stay here again in the future.

Great location right in the city center, apart from the charge for £18 overnight parking at Marriott own carpark is 1/4 of the 1 night hotel prices are expensive.

Room was spacious and clean. Didn’t eat there. Hotel was in the middle of a very large car park which was in the process o being developed so the immediate environment was not attractive.

Our room door was open when we arrived and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned. Rang up and everything was resolved very quickly. Had some extras because of the inconvenience. The room was very quiet so had a very good night's sleep both nights.

The rooms are perfect,but the bartender refused to make the easiest cocktail cosmopolitan, very disappointed, because his answer was I don't have the ingredients and he had everything in the bar

Great stay at Future Inn Cardiff. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location near Cardiff Bay is excellent with plenty of places to eat and things to see nearby. Free parking was also a big bonus. Would happily stay here again.

Stayed here for my fiancée's birthday and had the absolute best experience. Beautifully presented room with a balcony overlooking the bay. Customer service from Trizia was second to none, She is an absolute credit to the hotel. We'll be back based on her service alone, but the hotel is fantastic!

We stay in Cardiff for a few nights. Got the sea view. The view was amazing. We had breakfast on bed. Many choices of food to get for breakfast. Bathroom have a bathtub which is nice 👍🏼

Great location, walking distance from the high street, with easy access to restaurants, bars and the Cardiff Castle. The room is clean, the staff is friendly. Our room was a little bit outdated but we had everything we needed.

The staff at reception was really helpful. We arrived slightly early then check in times, still they were able to accomodate us. The spa and swimming pool were immaculate.

Overall comfortable stay but telephone was not working and despite asking for room cleaning it wasn’t done one of the day.

We had a one night stay. Appreciated the upgrade for a special birthday. The only thing to note, from first impressions, it looked a little grubby outside, the steps could do with a clean. Staff friendly - we didnt eat nor use the amenities so can't comment on that.

Room is clean, big and nice. Just sauna is not working and £10 per person to go to only steam room, just average.

Stayed here for a football match in Cardiff hotel was clean and tidy.breakfast had a good variety of foods.. There is a bus stop 100yds away with good service to town centre and only £2.50

tayed at Clayton Hotel Cardiff for a weekend and it was excellent. The location is perfect — right next to Cardiff Central Station and just a short walk to Principality Stadium and the city centre. The room was modern, very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Friendly staff and a good breakfast selection. Great value for a 4-star hotel in the heart of Cardiff. Hotel had a system downtime so couldn’t accommodate any requests. One of the staff members wanted to help but her manager came and declined any help whatsoever. Hotel clearly empty but lied it was fully booked. Room so run down I resorted to booking another nearby hotel and left this one.

Great place to stay, central to city centre. Fabulous amenities in the hotel, safe available and fridge in the room to use at no extra cost. Spacious rooms, gym available, outdoor public space available to guests. I would stay again.

We had a comfortable stay here. It is quiet whilst being in the city centre and that was perfect. There was a issue with the water but the staff were accommodating and acted quickly to resolve it.

Our stay was excellent.the service was very helpful.our room was extremely nice and a good location and we had a great night's sleep on a very comfortable mattress. I would recommend supplying Kleenex in bathroom and possibly a fan in bathroom to compensate for the steam and heat from showering.

There for the Rugby weekend. Should def have spent a bit more time checking on transport to the hotel. Required taxis to & from the City centre @ £20+ a trip I doubt I will use this hotel again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent and replenished frequently so was always fresh. The bar was welcoming and reasonably priced. Our little dog was with us and made a complete fuss of by both staff and customers which she loved. Overall a lovely stay in a great hotel in an ideal location for accessing cardiff and surrounding areas.

Room’s Carpets has several stains also bit old interior. Went to celebrate wife’s birthday which was mentioned at reception but nothing to be done as special apart from we booked 3 rooms. It has available some stores however hotel has very limited amenities.

Novotel as usual our prferred hotel made us feel comfortable like always. Though some issue in room ptovided, Novotel team made sure to fix it. Special Thanks to Barbara, Elidich and one senior member, sorry forgot name during night shift helped. In nutshell, Novotel as i always say make me feel Home away from Home.

The staff were generally accommodating, but service could be a bit slow at times. Overall, the positive aspects outweighed the minor inconveniences experienced. Stayed with family for a night. Its a great place for family with pool, hot tub, steam room etc. Restaurant in the hotel is very good. Very good location to avoid city centre traffic and still walkable to city centre. Rooms are good, but can be maintained better and a bit cleaner. With sofa converted to bed, rooms appear to be small with not much space.

Vintage touch with a carpet and wooden desk. I loved it. Spacious rooms for the price with a bathtub. Only drawback. There are no power sockets next to the bed. Perfect location next to the castle. I have not heard any noise at night. Super quiet.

I requested a room away from the road and got one which was appreciated. Really warm welcome from reception staff on arrival and in the restaurant at breakfast, which was excellent. Room was a little bit small and it was extremely hot at night because the AC was on heater mode and if we turned it off we could only rely on opening the windows for ventilation. But staffs were very kind and offered us two fans. Toilet was also a bit tiny but the rest is alright.

Yeah, it’s alright. Pretty good value but you have to pay for parking. In the photo it looks like there’s a coffee machine but there isn’t. The showers great and the location is perfect. The bed is good too

Overall, this place is fine, but it's disappointing considering it's a Holiday Inn. The decor is very tired and in need of a refresh. There's no lunch available, and the quality of the food is pretty average. However, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the beds were nice and comfy.

A few small niggles with the room, we were only given 3 towels for 4 of us, the shower temperature knob was broken and kept falling off without barely being touched and there was also a clump of hair under one of the duvets which was a bit gross. Stayed at this hotel last year. Such wonderful staff - very helpful and friendly! Decent size pool although could be cleaner. Rooms/bathrooms/dining area were all really clean. Breakfast was lovely, a good variety of food available. It was a lovely break, we all really enjoyed our stay including the kids. Good location for exploring the city.

My family and I stayed here last Friday during Stirm Eunice on route to London. Easy to access off M4. Rooms spacious beds comfy we were below ground floor so no view to speak off and there was an odd smell dispelled somewhat when windows opened. I paid £25 for valet parking when checked in hotel on June 4 but the hotel didn’t pay parking charge at parking lot so I had received another penalty parking charge from BPA on June 7

I stayed for one night at Holiday Inn Express and had an excellent experience. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, and the facilities were great. The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout my stay. Everything was comfortable and well organised, which made the stay stress-free. My stay here was agreeable and adequate. Check-in staff were polite and easy to approach as well as housekeeping staff. The room was a good sized space. My room was on the top floor, 10th floor, and I was happy about that but the lifts are slow. The bed was 2 singles pushed together so was somewhat uncomfortable. Shower had no glass door to spot water splashing onto bathroom floor so had to put towels...

Only issue was I couldn't see out the windows

The room had no windows that could be opened and was very stuffy. There is only one fan. And the windows are all covered with privacy films. Can't see outside at all. It was supposed to be very beautiful outside. The stay was very depressing.

The hotel is in a very good location, right next to Cardiff Railway Station and the downtown commercial street. It is also very close to the castle, only a ten-minute walk away. The family room is quite large and the bathroom is not small. However, after staying for two days, no one cleaned up, the trash can was not emptied, and the service was average.

It’s not hot in the afternoon so that u can’t stay there until the sunset.

Was a bit hard to find but did! For the price was fine nothing fancy but for one night to just sleep on bed and go was good.

Hotel is ok if you want a night in Cardiff but its very noisey,  found it difficult to sleep baecause you can here all the noise on St Marys Street,  also there was no bottle water in room which was disappointing for money spent.

Excellent location, arrived by train, which is just a 5 min walk. Staff were lovely, bedrooms were warm and clean. And the breakfast was delicious!  ( only slight criticism… the coffee not great , could do with a fancy coffee machine, giving the options of different styles of coffees )  Otherwise would definitely be returning in the future .
