tayed at Clayton Hotel Cardiff for a weekend and it was excellent. The location is perfect — right next to Cardiff Central Station and just a short walk to Principality Stadium and the city centre. The room was modern, very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Friendly staff and a good breakfast selection. Great value for a 4-star hotel in the heart of Cardiff. Would definitely stay again
some lights in room was not working. Breakfast menu tatse was average.
Excellent hotel, been a couple of times now, really enjoy the central location, breakfast is very good. Rooms lovely
Great location. Easy to check in and out. Gym area not the best but really couldn’t knock the place.
Excellent location. Room was ok but floor a bit dusty. Comfortable beds disappointed there were no bathrobes or slippers. I would normally expect this in a deluxe room
First time stayed at this hotel and will do so again. The hotel is beautiful inside and the staff are attentive, helpful and quite charming. The only downside to me was a constant droning in my room. I didn't mention this as I was only staying one night

Lovely stay for a night out in Cardiff. Centrally located, great facilities.
Very centrally located. Super close to the railway station. Very friendly staff. Vey clean and tidy in the room, as you can expect from this brand. Breakfast was as good as you can expect. Good value for money. Will come back next time for a stay in Cardiff.
Lovely stay again. Friendly service and pleasant staff. After having an issue with the car park lift we got an upgrade which included access to the executive lounge which was a lovely touch. Drinks, snacks and hot food included. Its not out first stay here and we will stay here again in the future.
Great location right in the city center, apart from the charge for £18 overnight parking at Marriott own carpark is 1/4 of the 1 night hotel prices are expensive.
Like a few hotels in Cardiff, the Marriott is really convenient for the railway station. We chose it because we have stayed there before and enjoyed it. The reception staff were polite and friendly. The room (Superior Double) was quite roomy - but where were the bathrobes? The noise from the streets is quite loud, but it was a Friday night, so to be expected, really. We went to the Utilita arena...
The room was a bit old and the facilities weren't great, but the location was excellent, making it very convenient for getting around.

Stayed here for my fiancée's birthday and had the absolute best experience. Beautifully presented room with a balcony overlooking the bay. Customer service from Trizia was second to none, She is an absolute credit to the hotel. We'll be back based on her service alone, but the hotel is fantastic!
Excellent stay - staff so helpful and spa facilities great. Rooms are peaceful and views are terrific. A great stay and lots to see.
I had an excellent stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm hospitality and professionalism. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I truly appreciated how attentive and friendly everyone was throughout my stay. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed and linens were high quality, and I slept better here than I do at home...
Great hotel, perfect location, very helpful staff .The view is amazing, spa access is a bonus. Room slightly dated but has all the amenities of a 5 stars hotel, location is divine and staff so so polite and helpful.Definitely worth it!
Loved your hotel.  We had a fantastic king room with sea views & the bed was very comfortable. Didn’t have the evening meal there but loved the breakfast, it was the best we’ve ever had.   Location was superb. Regards Kathleen Rhiannon & Douglas Spence💃🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🕺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
We stay in Cardiff for a few nights. Got the sea view. The view was amazing. We had breakfast on bed. Many choices of food to get for breakfast. Bathroom have a bathtub which is nice 👍🏼

Great location, walking distance from the high street, with easy access to restaurants, bars and the Cardiff Castle. The room is clean, the staff is friendly. Our room was a little bit outdated but we had everything we needed.
The staff at reception was really helpful. We arrived slightly early then check in times, still they were able to accomodate us. The spa and swimming pool were immaculate.
Overall comfortable stay but telephone was not working and despite asking for room cleaning it wasn’t done one of the day.
We had a one night stay. Appreciated the upgrade for a special birthday. The only thing to note, from first impressions, it looked a little grubby outside, the steps could do with a clean. Staff friendly - we didnt eat nor use the amenities so can't comment on that.
Room is clean, big and nice. Just sauna is not working and £10 per person to go to only steam room, just average.
It’s my 2nd stay at Holland house hotel Cardiff by Sunday and it’s 2nd of many more, fantastic hotel all round. 100% recommended

Couldn’t be more pleased with the service and cleanliness. The room was above standard and staff ware so friendly and helpful I was a little nervous after reading some reviews but really I couldn’t be more pleased
Hotel had a system downtime so couldn’t accommodate any requests. One of the staff members wanted to help but her manager came and declined any help whatsoever. Hotel clearly empty but lied it was fully booked. Room so run down I resorted to booking another nearby hotel and left this one.
The location was perfect and the hotel onot self was good, tje only downfall for me was the heating system rattled in the bedroom .along difficult to fall asleep. I been to cheaper hotels paid for thr cheapest budget room amd got some decent amenities
Having lived in Cardiff for decades, I always thought the Raddison Blu looked smart.  First time trying there and I was really disappointed.  It's shabby, the room was really stark and overall it needs some attention.  Reception was full of leaves and granted that the weather was a bit grim, but it gave a dreadful first impression.  The room was very disappointing - painted blue and really really stark...
Great place to stay, central to city centre. Fabulous amenities in the hotel, safe available and fridge in the room to use at no extra cost. Spacious rooms, gym available, outdoor public space available to guests. I would stay again.
We had a comfortable stay here. It is quiet whilst being in the city centre and that was perfect. There was a issue with the water but the staff were accommodating and acted quickly to resolve it.

Very disappointing stay for a Hilton. Hidden charges for the pool and spa weren’t made clear, and staff were unhelpful when questioned. After paying extra, the facilities were a letdown — bad smells in the lift and changing rooms, which were outdated and poorly maintained. The pool area itself is run down and nowhere near the standard expected. The room was okay, but the aircon/heating was extremely...
Great room and shower, we didnt book the castle view but was happy with the room. You do have to pay extra to use pool facilities.
Amazing service, excellent amenities will highly recommend this hotel, really value for money and overall was perfect for a short and long stay. We’ll definitely visit again soon!
Easy check in and out, nice friendly and very helpful staffs. Comfortable and clean room. Good location. Very happy with our stay.
We had a great experience. Ambience was good. Same as the food.
Everything was fine, but we didn't have a good view despite paying for a high-floor room. Also, there was only one bathrobe in our room rather than two, but they gave us one more when we asked. And the bathroom sink drain had a problem, so water barely passed through. Overall, the breakfast, pool facilities, and luggage storage were excellent for us. My one less star for cleanliness was due to a dirty...

Great place to stay with an excellent customer service delivery.
We just spent the one night here while attending a family occasion. The staff were friendly, the room spacious and very clean and all this at an excellent price. Lots of free parking and local shops/food outlets
Our stay was excellent.the service was very helpful.our room was extremely nice and a good location and we had a great night's sleep on a very comfortable mattress. I would recommend supplying Kleenex in bathroom and possibly a fan in bathroom to compensate for the steam and heat from showering.
There for the Rugby weekend. Should def have spent a bit more time checking on transport to the hotel. Required taxis to & from the City centre @ £20+ a trip I doubt I will use this hotel again.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent and replenished frequently so was always fresh. The bar was welcoming and reasonably priced. Our little dog was with us and made a complete fuss of by both staff and customers which she loved. Overall a lovely stay in a great hotel in an ideal location for accessing cardiff and surrounding areas.
The welcome at the desk was excellent, friendly and professional. Food was also excellent.

Room’s Carpets has several stains also bit old interior. Went to celebrate wife’s birthday which was mentioned at reception but nothing to be done as special apart from we booked 3 rooms. It has available some stores however hotel has very limited amenities.
Novotel as usual our prferred hotel made us feel comfortable like always. Though some issue in room ptovided, Novotel team made sure to fix it. Special Thanks to Barbara, Elidich and one senior member, sorry forgot name during night shift helped. In nutshell, Novotel as i always say make me feel Home away from Home.
This hotel offers a pleasant stay, though the older sections may present some minor challenges. Fortunately, a room change to a newer building resolved any initial concerns. The staff were generally accommodating, but service could be a bit slow at times. Overall, the positive aspects outweighed the minor inconveniences experienced. It's a respectable option for travelers seeking comfort.
The stay was really good overall the room was clean, comfortable, and everything went smoothly. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. However, I was a bit disappointed that I had to pay £16 for parking for the whole day. It would have been nice if parking was included in the stay or at least offered at a reduced rate for guests. Apart from that, everything else...
Stayed with family for a night. Its a great place for family with pool, hot tub, steam room etc. Restaurant in the hotel is very good. Very good location to avoid city centre traffic and still walkable to city centre. Rooms are good, but can be maintained better and a bit cleaner. With sofa converted to bed, rooms appear to be small with not much space.
Fantastic Stay & Friendly Staff🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I had a wonderful stay at Novotel Cardiff City. Everything was exactly as I expected and even better. Vintage touch with a carpet and wooden desk. I loved it. Spacious rooms for the price with a bathtub. Only drawback. There are no power sockets next to the bed. Perfect location next to the castle. I have not heard any noise at night. Super quiet.
Outstanding services, happy new year
I requested a room away from the road and got one which was appreciated. Really warm welcome from reception staff on arrival and in the restaurant at breakfast, which was excellent. If i was being really picky the room, bathroom and corridor...
Room was a little bit small and it was extremely hot at night because the AC was on heater mode and if we turned it off we could only rely on opening the windows for ventilation. But staffs were very kind and offered us two fans. Toilet was also a bit tiny but the rest is alright.

Clean hotel and room. Check in staff was a little grumpy but bar staff were lovely and room was a lovely standard for their basic room
Room was very big and spacious, room was clean and spotless. Breakfast was lovely and location excellent. Everything was great, no complaints.
I have a really mixed feeling about this hotel. I booked the superior room with tree lined view and asked for a quiet room: the receptionist gave me an extremely cold and noisy room right next to the motorway and above some nightclubs. My watch has identified the noise level is over the normal limit. I couldn’t fall asleep due to the loud noise even at midnight. I called the receptionist to change...
The front desk service is very good and the hotel is convenient for travel
The hotel is in a good location, the room is large, but the facilities are old. The service staff is friendly. Hotel advantages: location, room size, friendly service staff.
The hotel is very close to the castle, town hall, museums and other attractions. It is very convenient to go shopping and dining on the pedestrian street. The most outstanding thing is that the breakfast is very rich and there are many kinds of fruits, so the cost performance is relatively high

My stay here was agreeable and adequate. Check-in staff were polite and easy to approach as well as housekeeping staff. The room was a good sized space. My room was on the top floor, 10th floor, and I was happy about that but the lifts are slow. The bed was 2 singles pushed together so was somewhat uncomfortable. Shower had no glass door to spot water splashing onto bathroom floor so had to put towels...
Only issue was I couldn't see out the windows
The room had no windows that could be opened and was very stuffy. There is only one fan. And the windows are all covered with privacy films. Can't see outside at all. It was supposed to be very beautiful outside. The stay was very depressing.
The hotel is in a very good location, right next to Cardiff Railway Station and the downtown commercial street. It is also very close to the castle, only a ten-minute walk away. The family room is quite large and the bathroom is not small. However, after staying for two days, no one cleaned up, the trash can was not emptied, and the service was average.
It’s not hot in the afternoon so that u can’t stay there until the sunset.
Close to the railway, a little chaotic

Was a bit hard to find but did! For the price was fine nothing fancy but for one night to just sleep on bed and go was good.
Hotel is ok if you want a night in Cardiff but its very noisey,  found it difficult to sleep baecause you can here all the noise on St Marys Street,  also there was no bottle water in room which was disappointing for money spent.
The room was clean, had free WiFi in the room. Heated towels for a shower.
Excellant location, ideal for rugby. Hotel room was abit dated tv didn’t work, windows couldn’t be opened,
Great service, friendly staff. Central location with plenty of food and shops nearby
Excellent location, arrived by train, which is just a 5 min walk. Staff were lovely, bedrooms were warm and clean. And the breakfast was delicious!  ( only slight criticism… the coffee not great , could do with a fancy coffee machine, giving the options of different styles of coffees )  Otherwise would definitely be returning in the future .

Stayed overnight budget friendly. Clean place simple and staffs are good
Location good, separate parking good, staff lovely, bed very comfy, bathroom very tired and slightly smelly, breakfast ok for pre paid price £6 but wouldn't pay the price of £8+ by just turning up for it. Just as a bedroom fine as a base for any longer probably not. However we would stay for just 1 night stays again.
Neat room, I like shower room separate from toilet 🚽 and tap basin without waiting too long for roommates😊
For a budget hotel, this ibis strongly exceeds expectations. When I came, breakfast was £6 a head for all you can eat. Staff were kind and considerate. 5* for service but mainly due to the lack of expectations. I do not expect amazing service in a budget hotel but feel we still got more than we paid for. Double room is reasonably sized, excellent shower facilities and spacious enough if all you plan...
The room was good but bathroom area was a bit small and with no latches so please if you are travelling with friends be careful 😂
Simple and clean. One of the lifts were broken so everyone had to jam into one lift (including cleaning staff). The reception insisted to charge me even after prepaying online, which was a hassle.

Overall, this place is fine, but it's disappointing considering it's a Holiday Inn. The decor is very tired and in need of a refresh. There's no lunch available, and the quality of the food is pretty average. However, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the beds were nice and comfy.
Breakfast was very good and a lot of choice . Very comfortable stay Kids really enjoyed the stay
A few small niggles with the room, we were only given 3 towels for 4 of us, the shower temperature knob was broken and kept falling off without barely being touched and there was also a clump of hair under one of the duvets which was a bit gross. The kids used the pool, the changing rooms are very basic and could at least do with a few hooks in/near the showers but they had fun. Breakfast was enjoyed...
Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room. Air conditioning was a little noisy but bearable. Breakfast was standard, nice and hot / fresh, we paid £6 per person. Property is a little older, needs updating / maintenance. Pool water was murky, just about see the bottom of the pool - could not see the other person at other end of a 10m pool (best guess for its size). EV charging available...
Stayed at this hotel last year. Such wonderful staff - very helpful and friendly! Decent size pool although could be cleaner. Rooms/bathrooms/dining area were all really clean. Breakfast was lovely, a good variety of food available. It was a lovely break, we all really enjoyed our stay including the kids. Good location for exploring the city.
My family and I stayed here last Friday during Stirm Eunice on route to London. Easy to access off M4. Rooms spacious beds comfy we were below ground floor so no view to speak off and there was an odd smell dispelled somewhat when windows opened. Nice hotel but bit out of way of Cardiff centre. We were advised not to walk back at night but use a cab service as the area being developed and we were just warned it may not be as safe as we would expect Hotel was busy and at breakfast it was hard to find a table free or cleaned for you. Amazing location that is right by the city centre. Staff were really friendly and we were made to feel super welcome all the way from arrival until we checked out. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience at this hotel. The bathroom was very cold, and the toilet tank took a long time to refill after flushing. The radiator in the room was also noisy and disturbing. In addition, the soundproofing was very poor, and we could clearly hear all the noise from the room next door. Overall, the stay was not comfortable, and I expected a much better experience.
Great, little budget hotel and well equipped. Bathroom was very clean. Bed was comfortable, location is perfect, close to the train station. Maybe the carpet could have been cleaner. I would stay again.

Holm House is absolutely wonderful, from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The atmosphere is calm, elegant, and full of charm. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated, with those thoughtful little touches that make such a difference. It’s one of those rare places that feels both luxurious and homely at the same time. The location was perfect - close to everything but still peaceful. I’ll definitely be coming back - highly recommend!
Was OK to stay here, but the lack of support really dings the overall experience. The lack of reception was not a problem, and I was able to get into the building/room using the provided instructions easily. Checking the rooms when I arrived, I noticed that the shower was dripping after being turned off, and this would continue for 20-30 minutes. Called the building management to let them know, and...
Fantastic food but the service was a little slow. We had to ask for pretty much everything. Can we order drinks, can we order food, can we order some more drinks.. service was slow but the staff were incredibly polite. I'd go again but only for the great food!
Lovely location and sitting in the garden when sunny was a delight. The choice of food is a bit limited but delicious. That being said, for a 4* hotel & Spa, I would not have expected broken garden furniture to be on view to the public and made the place look a little unkempt.
