What a hidden gem! Beautiful-looking boutique hotel. Large, modern, spotless, and pleasant room, arranged around the pool with privacy shading. The hotel building offers two floors with breathtaking mountain views.

The staff were excellent, super friendly, and responsive. TJ was fantastic & very helpful.

The hotel is located in the design district of Palm Springs, with great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and shopping stores all within walking distance.

My only gripe is the open shower design, which is pleasing to the eye, but creates quite a mess when showering. Water splattered and went outside the shower. The foot towel was soaking wet when you were done showering. The other one is my own personal issue. The sink was a bit high, so it's not ideal for shorter girls to wash their faces or get ready. I needed a small step stool to clean my face & brush my teeth comfortably. #shortpeopleproblem

It’s exactly as advertised—a small boutique hotel with friendly staff, a quiet atmosphere, a clean property, and comfortable rooms. We visited during Modernism Week, and the location couldn’t have been better for easy access to shops, restaurants, activities, and events. We were able to walk everywhere and really appreciated the convenient onsite parking. We especially enjoyed meals at Cheeky’s and Birba, both adjacent to the property, and took advantage of the hotel’s morning coffee, tea, and pastries.

Staff were super friendly and helpful, room was clean and the bed was extra comfortable. Nice vibe with fire pits and seating on a chilly night. Right across Palm Canyon Dr is Copley’s, where we had a fantastic dinner. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Alcazar is the best! Very comfortable and quiet. Delicious breakfasts. Great location. And the staff is super friendly. Our go-to place when in Palm Springs.

This was my third visit to the Alcazar and I had another wonderful stay at this hidden gem. Great location, close in and convenient to everything. Walking distance to downtown and just on the edge of the Design district. This is a small, quiet, casual hotel with spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms. The outdoor pool area is well kept, and the staff are pleasant and accommodating. Good value for the money. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is my fourth year in a row staying at the Alcazar Palm Springs, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. The hotel has a true boutique feel, and having stayed in several different room types over the years, I can say each one is wonderfully unique. The vibe is consistently excellent, and the pool area—with stunning views of Mount San Jacinto—is incredible. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the housekeeping team is among the hardest-working I’ve encountered in all my travels. The location is also unbeatable—just off Palm Canyon and within easy walking distance of the best restaurants, shops, and nightlife downtown. Robert, the Owner/GM, clearly takes great pride in the property, and it shows. There’s always thoughtful upkeep happening to keep everything looking fresh, most recently with a beautifully renovated pool area. All of this combined has made the Alcazar my go-to yearly getaway, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Nice enough property in a great walkable location but the room was very plain - all white with no decorative or interesting elements. The pillows were too soft, and for a property designed for romantic getaways, it was surprising that the room didn’t offer comfortable seating for two — just one hard desk chair and a small accent chair. The open shower design created quite a mess and amenities were limited. Despite being two guests, our room came with only one miniature shower gel, and housekeeping didn’t provide a new one on day two. There were no in-room beverages — no water, coffee/tea maker. The lobby coffee wasn’t available until 7:30 a.m., and although breakfast was advertised as including pastries, it turned out to be just a single cake stand with a few pieces of one type of coffee cake.

This is in the heart of downtown and is walking distance from shops and restaurants. It has old school Palm Springs midcentury appeal, but has been updated. Pool is clean. Rooms are kitsch. Downside: found many drain flies and a giant cockroach in my room!

The location is between Indian Ave. and Palm Canyon Dr. which even in the off season has a lot of traffic and is noisy. Fortunately the drone of the AC window units help drown out some of the noise. But not enough. The gardener was leaf blowing by 7:30am and Staff was shoving pool furniture around shortly after. The floors are painted with what appeared to be an epoxy paint with a high gloss finish. Extremely slippery and dangerous if there is any moisture on it. When we arrived the rooms did not smell fresh but we aired them out and it improved. The next two days the smell returned, the tubs didn’t drain properly and sewer venting came through the bathroom shower and sink drains. We used wet towels to cover the drains. When management was notified there was no rush to correct the issue. In fact, the last day when management finally came to the room all he said was that he would call a plumber. Then he abruptly turned and walked out. The pool area is nice. It’s advertised that there was a remodel. Photos make the place look like a gem but the reality is the rooms are just ok. The lack of maintenance makes them sub standard even for one star. This place could be so much more with proper maintenance and attention to detail. We will not return.

My Wife and I have been vacationing in Palm Springs for over 20 years. We have stayed at a lot of Hotels in P.S. We found the Alcazar in 2014 and have been staying there with Family and friends ever since. Robert and his team take such good care of the guests it is great to getaway and relax in such a charming peaceful place. So if you have not stayed at the Alcazar give it a try and experience this charming oasis.
