The Saguaro Palm Springs in Palm Springs

Maybe I am just disappointed in how the hotels look like in the USA. For the amount of money we payed I would have expected better. Around the hotel was dog poop, old dropped food stayed on the floor. The hallways were not cleaned, garbage bags were left everywhere. Cutlery was in the hallways. The music at the pool was terrible and blaring. The gym was terrible, no Air conditioning and no weights under 25 pounds. The breakfast was ok, but the service terrible. The only good thing was the check in service and front desk. Housekeeping for the room was good.

Well the photos are not updated. The room had a weird smell, the staff was friendly. They came and disinfected it since we couldn’t switch rooms, but the smell came back by the end of the trip. It has the potential to be such a cute hotel, but it hasn’t been kept up with.

The cleanliness of this property should be noted. There was clear hair on the walls of shower, actual dirty boot prints on floor of bathroom, the bed was made but still felt dirty, overall dirty feel in the room. The front desk staff was friendly at check in. We were thinking we were just going to pack up and go because we really don't love complaining but just toughed it out and left first thing in the morning. I did see some people mentioned it had been really run down but figured this is one of the most well known PS hotels so figured it would have been fine. Disappointed.

The online pictures of this place don't do it justice. This is a very tired property. The staff here are nice but a little indifferent. We stayed for three nights (paid $366 per night), declined service to room the first night but the second day we requested to have our room refreshed, twice. When housekeeping still didn't show by 2pm called front desk to be told that "they are prioritizing cleaning checked out rooms first" (this was a Sunday). They never came to clean the room but did bring clean towels at 5:30pm. The hallways and room was musty and smelled of mildew. The stain on the carpet was from our room, gross!
To get into the pool area, you have to enter through the dilapidated gate in picture. Free breakfast card says you get coffee & OJ (but no, you have to choose one).
Overall, would never stay here again, there are much nicer places in Palm Springs for way less.
