We really loved this hotel. We are a family pf 5, with 3 small children. The suite was excellent. Staff very friendly, and pleasantly surprised by the restaurant (great view, food and service)

Very nice stay at Christmas. Great rooms, great staff, great location. The only thing that was missig was that little extra Christmas touch. It would have been nice to be given a few cookies, chocolates or candies to celebrate the holidays.

Service from staff was impeccable. Room was well appointed and clean. In room snacks and drinks were a nice touch. All the gentlemen at the door were fabulous.

The location is excellent. The 9-10 restaurants on the ground floor offer very good food and service quality. The hotel is 115 years old. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. It was a pleasant stay. I recommend it.

The hotel is beautiful inside and out. Room was large and very well maintained. Without exception staff was extremely friendly and polite. Valet parking was very friendly and handled expeditiously. Will definitely stay at the Hotel again when we return to La Jolla.

During my trip to San Diego, I booked a hotel in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter (established in 1913) on Ctrip. The old elevator is quite unique. The rooms aren't big, but the cleanliness and amenities are okay, and it's not noisy. We stayed on the 11th floor, the highest floor, and the rooftop terrace offers a great view of the city!

The transportation in the downtown area is quite convenient. The train is a few minutes' walk away. The hotel's old-fashioned elevator is antique-grade. The refrigerator is full and there is no room for anything.

This hotel has a unique elevator. It's historic, but the doors are too heavy. The speed is unavoidable. There's no kettle in the room, so it's difficult to get hot water. The convention center is about a 15-minute walk away.

The interior was so cute and exciting. The amenities were Diptique and perfect. The rooftop view overlooks downtown. A free welcome drink is included. You can order at the restaurant next door. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that when I tried to use the conditioner, the tube inside was bent and I couldn't push it, even though it was a pump type. Service was really exceptional. Location was fantastic, and despite being right on the boardwalk and being on the first floor, it was very quiet and you could not hear anything from the room. Super close to Pacific Beach spots for restaurants. Hotel has bikes (including for kids!) that can be used and also has beach chairs and toys for the kids (super easy access to the beach). We had a wonderful view of the beach although it was partially obstructed.

We have made a trip to the Del Beach Village a family tradition every summer and we simply love it. The facility, the location, the view and of course the people make it memorable every single time. We cannot imagine a summer without a trip to Beach Village. Special shoutout to Claire Gionnette who makes our experience extra special every year!

From the moment we arrived, Jay’s warm welcome was a hint of what was to come. We stayed in Beach Village which entitled us to breakfast every morning at the Ocean Club where Maria tended to our every need. The comfort of the room, the Spa, the views, easy access to the beach, and the restaurants made for a perfect vacation. We plan on returning some day.

After the long awaited renovations are complete, Beach Village was a dream. Our room featured a working fireplace, beautiful balcony with an ocean view and comfortable furniture. I stayed for one night and had a pleasant experience overall. The facility is a bit older, but the room itself was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated how easy it was to switch to a quieter room—staff handled the request quickly and without any hassle. The bed was also surprisingly comfortable, which made for a good night’s rest. A solid stay for a short trip.
