Georgian Inn Beach Club in Ormond Beach

Not that great, its redeeming feature is its location. The hotel itself is somewhat dated. The staff have been great. Beyond that don’t expect much! The room facilities could be improved by supplying shampoo, yes, it’s the only hotel I have ever stayed in where there’s no shampoo in the bathroom. Also, there’s a coffee machine in the room but no starter kit. You have to bring your own coffee. There was a cold spell the day we checked in and the heater/air conditioning didn’t not support heat. We were freezing all night. Would I recommend it, well it depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re expecting a Marriott type of hotel, you’ll be disappointed. If you’re expecting a motel, you’ll be delighted.

CONS - TV didn’t work. We were told we’d get a new one and it never showed up - telephone didn’t work - laundry soap vending machine was out of order, we went and bought Tide Pods (can’t fly with them so that was a wasted expense). - hot tub is in a dark windless room. It was not inviting. I didn’t dare enter the room. - lazy housekeeping. I thought she was supposed to make our bed and never did. One morning we asked her to return in 20 min and we didn’t see her for the rest of the visit. She appeared to only want to give us towels, and not take the dirty ones. This is not the experience I’ve had in other timeshares. THEY NEVER TOOK OUR TRASH. - there was no Do not Disturb sign available - it was cold at night and no extra blanket, and no comforter. - we sat outside at the bar and the chairs were dirty. They appeared to need to be wiped down. We got pool towels to cover the chairs and sat on the towels. -parking is an issue when they are full PROS - brand new room - full size clean fridge - balcony (a lounge chair would be nice) - good size bathroom with nice water pressure in shower - the front desk staff was friendly and pleasant - pool area was decent I don’t expect perfection but I also don’t feel like I need a job when I’m on vacation. To continually call maintenance or housekeeping should not be my job. It’s up to the Inn to have rooms prepared for incoming guests. It has a family vibe as opposed to luxury or high end. Not neat and tidy like I’d expect. I would not recommend staying here considering there are MANY other options close by.

Do not go here! The manager is a control freak who will watch you through the cameras. They call you several times about stupid things. The staff is rude and the building is old. The hot tub room is falling apart and there are roaches all in the stairway.
