Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, Honolulu1 / 30
8.3
Honolulu, 2490 Kalākaua Ave (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The oceanfront room offered a truly beautiful view of Waikiki Beach. As soon as I entered the room, it smelled lovely, and the bathroom and toilet were very clean. The access was also excellent. I'd love to stay here again.
Went there for our honeymoon, and the partial ocean view was actually better than I expected! The room condition itself was all fine, but the bathroom was the worst! It's a dry bathroom, but there's no shower door or curtain in the shower stall, so it literally floods... I almost slipped several times in the bathroom. And the towel rack is right above the toilet, so you can't even hang towels there...
The stay was great, lovely staff!! We celebrated are 10 year anniversary and had the best time
I've stayed at three hotels in Hawaii, and this one was the cleanest. The room size was a bit smaller compared to other hotels, but it was fine. Since it was Christmas, they were giving out hot chocolate in the lobby, which was delicious. It's very close to the beach, and the pool is nice and pretty, but for beach equipment rentals, you have to go to a place quite a distance away, not the hotel itself...
The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming, and the location was super convenient. I loved the beautiful view from the balcony. My only complaint is that the soundproofing in the room wasn't very good.
Great staff—always willing to help. The lobby is really nice, with a beautiful aquarium and comfortable seating areas. The room is smaller compared to Hilton Hawaiian Village, but we loved the clean décor. Our balcony had an ocean view, which was really nice. Check-in and check-out were fast and easy. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything great but your book seems not to be appreciated. For example, I got a lot of pleasure and goodies when I book from Amex travel site.
Great location, 2 minutes walk from all the nice designer stores and lovely food places. The rooms are spacious, clean and very well maintained, beds are comfortable. The infinity pool is absolutely amazing, we were lucky we could enjoy the tortoises from the infinity pool. Stayed 4 nights for thanksgiving, we would definitely go back to Sheraton Waikīkī Beach
Staff at House keeping, pool and restaurant are very friendly
Suggest everyone to pay more attention to the air conditioning in your room especially the machine noise, my aircon was extremely old accompanied by intolerable loud noise that literally woke me up at auto turn on ( energy saving mode). I then realized this is not the norm from my sister’s room was perfectly fine. Front desk sent technician and fixed the problem in one afternoon eventually they have...
The hotel's location is great, but the service is really poor, especially the wait for check-in and room assignment. They completely disregard guests' feelings.
I had seen a lot of negative reviews on various platforms before, but I didn't experience any of those issues myself. 1. I checked in earlier than the official time. The front desk staff was very friendly and explained that my room was still being cleaned, so I couldn't check in immediately. I left my luggage and went out shopping. While I was out, the hotel called to say my room was ready, which was...

Wonderful historic hotel right on Waikiki Beach. Everything was perfect, except the outside windows that haven't been cleaned for a while and which makes the room a bit darker :( And the swimming pool is extremely small and not heated so mid-January I couldn't go in.
Prime location in Waikiki, a pink castle-like hotel right on the beach – perfect for a relaxing family vacation!
Hotel chosen for our honeymoon, what can I say Fantastic, for me it is the most beautiful resort in Hawaii because it has history and inside you can breathe the scent of this amazing archipelago. Thank you for everything! Mahalo and see you soon!
I stayed here for my very first trip to Hawaii. The hotel was beautifully maintained, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I would definitely love to stay here again.
Very good! It is the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. Although it is not so luxurious, the people and environment here make you feel very comfortable. It is very suitable for vacation. There are shops and a private swimming pool right outside the hotel, which is very convenient. The valet parking staff were very nice. Highly recommended.
The location was absolutely superb. Of course, the bathrooms and plumbing showed some signs of age, but that's perfectly acceptable when you consider it's a resort. And the hotel's atmosphere is simply wonderful!

I stayed one night because I knew I definitely wanted to stay here when I came to Hawaii. The view from the room, the hotel staff's attitude, and the service were all very satisfying. There were Japanese staff members on hand, so I felt at ease and was able to check in on things. I'd definitely like to stay here again.
The room was beautiful! I was pleased with the ocean view. We were also given welcome fruit! There were plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, so it was easy to walk to anywhere.
The view was great and the room was comfortable. It was also easily accessible, with plenty of things to do within walking distance, like going to see Cirque du Soleil and shopping, so I was able to fully enjoy Waikiki.
First-class service, far exceeding the average American hotel
The best hotel on Waikiki Beach, with a great location and great service. I booked a room with two single beds. The sofa bed can also be opened into a single bed, which is suitable for families with children.
First of all, the location is perfect♪ The view and access are impeccable♪ I made the reservation for my son's family, and they really liked it, so it was worth it. I'd definitely like to use it again the next time I go♪ Thank you very much.

The room itself was satisfactory, mainly because it was large and had a good view. However, everything else was poor. 1. Service: Because it's not an international chain, it felt like they hadn't received systematic international staff training. Their service was very free-style, especially the breakfast staff. The person issuing tickets at the door even rolled their eyes. 2. Privacy: We booked two...
I was very satisfied with the room; it was a good value for the price. The ocean view was fantastic, and the hotel's own beach was perfect for sunbathing, though it wasn't particularly clean for swimming. The service was also excellent, and the staff were very nice.
It's a little far from Waikiki, but there's a gentle breeze that you won't find in Waikiki. Restaurants along the beach are convenient, but personally, I prefer the Italian food.
Beautiful hotel with a nice beach. The only problem is that the breakfast buffet has too few varieties.
Extremely comfortable and sunny.
Early check-in was available, and it was quiet and clean, which was great. The pool wasn't crowded, so the kids had a great time.

The room was large, comfortable, and very clean, with a balcony and a kitchen. The utensils were spotless, which was great. The hotel facilities are comprehensive, and the service staff are friendly and hospitable. My only minor complaint is that the breakfast was just average and not very varied.
We got the Penthouse Suite which ofcourse it was magnificent! The view was breath taking, even there were a little incident happened on the rooftop but the staff managed it pretty well with what happened. Service was top notch! Will be back for sure
Pros: The room was spacious and bright, and very clean. The staff were friendly. The facilities were complete. The bedding was comfortable. The balcony was lovely. The balcony's glass door provided good sound insulation. Cons: The window overlooked low-level ventilation facilities, which generated a lot of noise. Opening the door to the balcony also let in a lot of noise, so it had to be kept closed...
Location: The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get to the beach or other attractions. The valet service was also very good. Ambiance: The environment is great; you can see both the sunrise and sunset. Enjoying the breeze on the balcony while watching the sunset in the evening was incredibly relaxing. Facilities: Some facilities were under maintenance when we visited, but we didn...
Had a very satisfying stay. The hotel has a Japanese-style ambiance, and the kitchen facilities are fully equipped. The bathroom is also quite spacious. It's also close to the beach. There's a woman at the hotel lobby who speaks Chinese, which made communication smooth. The service was warm and welcoming. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time.
The two bedrooms with private bathrooms, plus a small third bedroom, offered plenty of space. The two balconies had great views, and we even saw a fireworks show on the beach at night. Some floors of the hotel were under renovation, so there was occasional construction noise in the evenings. The Japanese breakfast options were a nice touch. Overall, we were very satisfied. We'd definitely choose this...

Renaissance Hotel & Spa
Honolulu, 1390 Kapiolani Boulevard (2 km from centre)
Connected, quietly magnetic, and culturally alive, Renaissance Honolulu Hotel & Spa offers a... refreshingly modern take on island lifestyle, where ancient wisdom meets contemporary design. Located between the creative corridors of Kakaʻako, the shoreline, and the Shops of Ala Moana, this newly opened dual hotel and residence invites travelers to experience the soul of Hawai‘i in a way that feels both grounded and elevated.

Inspired by the spirit of Koʻa—sacred coral sanctuaries where life once flourished along these very shores—the hotel has been thoughtfully layered as a modern refuge. Like coral gathering life from the sea, Renaissance Honolulu draws you in with moments of stillness, renewal, and connection with panoramic views from the 8th-floor Sky Deck and outdoor pools, the rejuvenating NAMI Spa, Sera by the award-winning DB Restaurant Group, or the curated art by Sig Zane and Hiroshi Sugimoto—each piece rooted in the cultural rhythm and elemental beauty of the islands.
Whether in a classically styled or a residentially appointed room, your stay is designed to feel like a return to something deeper; a sanctuary reborn, and unmistakably Hawai‘i.
