Best Hotels in Honolulu

This is my 4th time in Hawaii, and my 3rd stay at this hotel. Overall, the experience has been great. The only minor issue is the noticeable noise when doors open and close, but all in all, it's a very good hotel.

Location is good. Rooms are clean. Wiew is very nice. Swimmin pools are very small; not very affective. Housekeepers very kind. Luggage department very helpful. Tour prices extemely high.

 Service at the pool was great.  Location was good close to the beach. Be aware of the resort fee of $55 American

Our room had beautiful ocean view and diamond head view which was exactly as I booked. The room is very clean and the bed is very comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay.

If your room isn't on a high enough floor, you'll be facing the third-floor pool downstairs, and in the afternoons, the hotel blasts very loud, high-energy music, which is incredibly disruptive

The hotel is located in the Waikiki area, but this specific part generally feels less safe than the core shopping center area where Waikiki Target is located

Awesome location and services. Everyone was friendly and facilities looked decent. It's a bit old but most hotels in Wakiki are somewhat outdated so we could actually compromise this part.

Always a great stay and option in Waikiki. This hotel suits all and there are a variety of rooms.

Safe for solo travelers. Easy walk to all major tourist areas. Great bars in surrounding areas.

Great location and reasonably priced compared to surrounding hotels.

However, only two elevators were operating, so waiting for one took a while

The soundproofing was quite poor; even though we weren't near the elevator, I could clearly hear people coming and going next door. The service was neither particularly good nor bad

Great location, right across from Waikiki Beach, which is super convenient if you want to enjoy the sand. It's also walkable to luxury stores, though it's a bit of a distance

Rooms were very clean and upscale. Free upgrade treated us to a ocean view room. Pets also allowed which is a big plus. Great location too. Highly recommended.

I booked a city view room, but it was on the side of the beach, so I could still see the ocean from the balcony. You could say it was a partial sea view

I was also pleasantly surprised that the room had a fridge and microwave, in addition to the usual coffee station — a nice bonus for travelers. The bathroom was clean and decent, and the hotel amenities were great

The spread was good, and since we were in Hawaii, I made sure to grab some loco moco. They also had fresh fruits and tropical juices, which were incredibly refreshing

Everything is literally walkable — the beach, shopping centers, and restaurants are all just steps away. The hotel even has a skybridge connecting directly to the mall, which made exploring super convenient

They have restaurants, bars, and even shops inside the hotel, plus a gym and pool if you want to squeeze in a workout or a quick dip. We also enjoyed our complimentary breakfast at Café 410

The staff were very approachable and helpful, always ready to guide us when we had questions. Our room had a relaxing ocean-inspired interior, which immediately gave us beach vibes

Even though our stay was short, we truly had a great experience at Ala Moana Hotel. It made our layover feel like a mini vacation. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back next time for a longer stay in Hawaii

The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming, and the location was super convenient. I loved the beautiful view from the balcony. My only complaint is that the soundproofing in the room wasn't very good.

The oceanfront room offered a truly beautiful view of Waikiki Beach. As soon as I entered the room, it smelled lovely, and the bathroom and toilet were very clean. The access was also excellent

When I asked at the info desk, they said it's something they do after you've stayed one night, on the evening of the next day or something. They just brushed me off, and there was nothing at all during our entire stay

There's some kind of hook by the door, but how are you supposed to hang all your towels there? Also, for honeymoons, everyone usually gets welcome gifts and decorations. but after checking in, there was nothing

It's very close to the beach, and the pool is nice and pretty, but for beach equipment rentals, you have to go to a place quite a distance away, not the hotel itself. Also, the pool water was a little dirty

The hotel's location is excellent and very convenient. Getting around is also a breeze. Since this hotel just opened in 2025, the facilities are still in great condition.

Very good and historical hotel, but needing some reforms. Banyan rooms are really, really small and generically old. Also, these rooms don’t have a balcony…

Great breakfast but should have included in package. Naive about the daily resort charge which made it a very expensive stay, you’re not made aware until check out. Will be back but better prepared for hidden charges

This hotel is just so beautiful! Located literally on the beach. It worked out for us since we brought our baby with us, whenever we needed to head back to the room for nap time, it was just a couple of steps away

Balcony was closed due to “safety reasons” -sucked If you walk/drive down towards HONOLULU ZOO there’s actual MAN MADE rock boarder. where KIDS can swim freely … WAVES BLOCKED BY ROCKS

Hotel staff very friendly, nice, maintained cleaned, lots of people coming and going. Pools close at 6pm Feet away from actual beach. ocean water very WARM, FRESH feeling

They also offer a good number of their own activities where you can learn about Hawaiian culture. Every evening, there were different bands playing for three hours, creating an amazing atmosphere

Next to the beach, Very good location to explore Waikīkī main tourist area. The staff is nice and welcoming.

From the moment we arrived we were impressed by how friendly the staff was. Lots of shops amazing resturants. Everything was clean. We had a great stay while waiting to board our cruise ship.

At the front desk, one gentleman's attitude was a bit lukewarm, but all the ladies were very kind. The hotel is conveniently located close to both the beach and the city center

We opted for a room in the more expensive Ocean Tower, which offered lovely views of the pool and a partial ocean view. It was great to have a free water and ice dispenser

An excellent stay at price Waikīkī, we booked a twin ocean view room (bonus with this hotel is that all rooms face the ocean to some extent). Room was cleaned to an excellent standard everyday

Location is good. Clean & quiet room. Suggest to add more chairs at poolside and more activities. Overall is great will back again!

Location is at the end of what we called the ‘Waikīkī strip’ close the the mall and the beach. Not the hotels fault but a balcony would have made this hotel a 5 star plus!!!

I specially booked this hotel to watch the fireworks on Friday. The location is really a plus, and it is very close to the fireworks beach. The sea view room has a good view

I decided to spend my birthday in Hawaii and stayed at the Prince hotel which was amazing. I absolutely loved it there and I would go back and stay there again.

They made coming and going completely stress-free. Always gave amazing recommendations and without their help we wouldn’t have tried the food they love to have themselves

Great location, very close to the convention center and Waikiki is also not far. The soundproofing is excellent, and the price is very good value for money for Hawaii! The hotel's breakfast is also quite good.

It was pretty good. It really is a beachfront room with decent service. The only thing I remember about breakfast was the pancakes.

The room is not bad but the towels are a little dirty. Don’t really like the small toilet but it’s not Squeeze actually. But overall, it’s a very good effort and decent hotel. For the price, I think it’s still worth it👍🏻

A good hotel with a decent location. While not directly on the beach, it's not too far away. The breakfast was quite basic, and the room was a bit small. It looks recently renovated and is very well-managed

Tons of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The pool is perfect for relaxing and there’s beach access. Customer service was good, not over the top but you’ll will get the answers you need

Everything great but your book seems not to be appreciated. For example, I got a lot of pleasure and goodies when I book from Amex travel site.

Suggest everyone to pay more attention to the air conditioning in your room especially the machine noise, my aircon was extremely old accompanied by intolerable loud noise that literally woke me up at auto turn on ( energy saving mode)

Great hotel with spotless rooms and extremely good service. Their housekeeping staff is outstanding. Our entire family enjoyed the 9 days we stayed in Sheraton Waikiki

The infinity pool is absolutely amazing, we were lucky we could enjoy the tortoises from the infinity pool. Stayed 4 nights for thanksgiving, we would definitely go back to Sheraton Waikīkī Beach

I am totally fine with the lack of guest’s follow up or any notification that the problem is fixed but kudos to the engineer who fixed my aircon with confidence and assurance that make the rest of my holiday a fantastic one

Hotel chosen for our honeymoon, what can I say Fantastic, for me it is the most beautiful resort in Hawaii because it has history and inside you can breathe the scent of this amazing archipelago

There are shops and a private swimming pool right outside the hotel, which is very convenient. The valet parking staff were very nice

Not only is the cost very reasonable you are extremely close to the beach! I chose the ocean view room for a few extra dollars more. Book ahead so you can get the good deals. I promise you won’t be disappointed

Let's start with the positives: The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a stunning ocean view, and I woke up to the beautiful beach every morning 🥰. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful 🫶

Services like parking and housekeeping were prompt. The breakfast buffet didn't have a huge variety, but the small garden outside the restaurant was lovely, and the dining environment was comfortable

Huge shoutout to Magdalena for being an amazing housekeeper and really doing such a good job everyday, as well as the two F&B director and manager who were conducting all the free Christmas classes, from poke bowl making to cocktail mixing and gingerbread house design

You can borrow a free surf board / beach chair and all, which is really useful considering the ridiculous prices for their rental at the beach! We stayed here for 11 nights and loved our stay

The hotel environment is great, and they offer free morning yoga. There's a swimming pool, and it's super convenient with a supermarket right across the street for dining and entertainment

Highly recommend this place, the location is super convenient! It's right across from the International Market Place, which has all sorts of shops and plenty of dining options

Finding food and drinks nearby was a breeze, and it's only about a 7-8 minute walk to the beach. The hotel itself was very clean and well-maintained

I also picked up my rental car from the 'zuzuche' (car rental service) counter on the first floor of that mall, which was incredibly easy

The hotel is old and lacks character. The restaurant on the first floor always has long queues, but the food isn't particularly good. The floors are low-ceilinged, the room doors are small, and the shower is tiny

This hotel was perfect for my trip. [Room] - Spacious - The sink was large. I was able to spread out all my amenities. The large mirror and magnifying mirror made applying makeup easy. - The toilet flushed smoothly

- There were also multiple outlets on the side beds, so charging my phone was easy. - Two adults and a small child could sleep comfortably on the king bed. There was also a sofa bed, but we didn't use it

- The bathroom had a large luggage storage area with over 10 hangers. I brought folding hangers but didn't use them. I was able to easily fit three inflatable swim rings and a suitcase

- There were plenty of chests of drawers, so I was able to store all my clothes. - There was a large mirror behind the sofa, making it easy to get ready

Several hotels in the area have their own unique features, and larger hotels offer flexible check-out times and easy access to ocean-view rooms. I'll stick to larger chain hotels in the future

We had only briefly mentioned our trip plans in our prior communication, and yet, they surprised us with a box of chocolates! Everyone made us feel so celebrated, and it truly created wonderful memories

It seems like a common occurrence because they didn't even ask about the situation. I was annoyed about having to tip every time there was an equipment issue, so I didn't tip them this time

Being on the second floor, the music from the lobby echoed until late at night, which was a real shame. The location, however, is great and makes it easy to get anywhere.

The same maintenance guy showed up with replacement batteries, but it still didn't work. He took it away and returned 15 minutes later with another person

For the rest of my stay, I couldn't relax, constantly worried the alarm might go off again. The location is great, but I won't be returning

Sunday brunch is awesome! Even the breakfast buffet at House Without a Key is really good. This place is so quiet and serene you forget you're in the middle of Waikiki.

The best hotel on Waikiki Beach, with a great location and great service. I booked a room with two single beds. The sofa bed can also be opened into a single bed, which is suitable for families with children.

There were Japanese staff members on hand, so I felt at ease and was able to check in on things. I'd definitely like to stay here again

The view was great and the room was comfortable. It was also easily accessible, with plenty of things to do within walking distance, like going to see Cirque du Soleil and shopping, so I was able to fully enjoy Waikiki.

Perfect design, room, service, view and food. There are kettles, bottled water, coffee machines, slippers, toothbrushes, etc. It is quiet and atmospheric, and it is a hotel worth staying in again.

AirBNB'd A room for a great deal of $100 a night. Was a comfortable nice room with the a fold out futon for the 3rd person of our group. The pool is very nice and clean. Ours came with parking included which was nice

the elevators are annoying but no problem except one day, we had to walk and I carried my stroller down 11 flights of stairs hahah

I was very satisfied with the room; it was a good value for the price. The ocean view was fantastic, and the hotel's own beach was perfect for sunbathing, though it wasn't particularly clean for swimming

It's a little far from Waikiki, but there's a gentle breeze that you won't find in Waikiki. Restaurants along the beach are convenient, but personally, I prefer the Italian food.
