This was a really nice hotel. The lobby was super nice. You can tell it’s an older hotel. It had an old city hotel feel but kept up to date. Glass elevators that go up through the main lobby. The hotel is separated. It has two main buildings that are connected by a walkway between the two buildings. I believe the one building is the original hotel and the second building where the lobby is located...

The hotel is very beautiful and elegant, but the room itself was pretty basic. We expected more from the room. It is in a great location and the amenities that it does have to offer is very great. The one restaurant inside that serves the pizza was not good. Service was good but food was not but the hotel overall is very beautiful and in a good location for visiting Louisville.

We stayed in the East Tower - suite. Rooms were a great size! Location was perfect!!! We were able to walk everywhere. Front desk was a bit eh. And while the rooms were nice they were great. Now! The valet staff were top notch amazing!! Nick and Chance were especially fantastic. 100 times over recommend using their valet services.

The rooms have stunning views. Although the hotel was opened in 1972, the facilities are very new. The rooms are cleaned every day. The only inconvenience may be that the rooms in the East and West Towers can only be accessed through the corridor on the 3rd floor, and the hotel's exclusive parking lot and gym are both in the East Tower. I Loved it Everything was nice and clean, I will most definitely stay again. Very comfortable almost felt like home.

Room was spotless. Staff was top notch. Amenities as expected but I did expect a microwave in the room. There wasn't one. 9/10 experience. Will definitely book again!

The rooms were very clean, and the staff helpful. The ladies at the bar were really nice and were easy to strike up a conversation with. We found out that one of them was originally from our home town of Owensboro. We will visit the Marriott again.

I like the shower and that it had a place to prop your foot while shaving. It was great having an empty fridge where I could store leftovers. I liked the layout of the room and there was plenty of charging plugs. On top of all of that the location was pretty great.

Room was great, but the service by the attendant that wait on me was exceptional in what she done for me.

The hotel was within walking distance for us to have dinner and drinks. We were in town for a conference.

The room is described as a luxury room. It was a nice room, but not nearly luxury. The coffee maker was cheap with paper cups and bad coffee. Water cups were paper, and only one bathrobe was provided. We expected better given the room description.

Rooms were nice staff friendly. Only 2 minor issues shower took for ever to get hot, and the toilet wouldn’t stop running without some help. The float was getting stuck in the tank didn’t report it cause was truly just annoying and easily fixed.

Absolutely wonderful hotel! My room was large and the bathroom was huge! A walk in shower made it easier on my old knees. Service was A++++!! I can't wait to go back!!

The hotel is historic and beautiful. You feel like you’ve been transported back in time which is a cool feeling. Staff was nice, dinner at the restaurant was exceptional. They also had a hot chocolate station which was cute. The beds… not luxurious so as long as you don’t have back problems or are a sensitive sleeper you should be ok.

I enjoy this hotel. Good restaurants and bar. Lots of bourbons choices. It has the feel of an old style hotel with the glamour of yesteryear. It has some maintenance issues that shoud be addressed - some obvious wear and tear - but the feel of the hotel’s old pomp and history is there. Recommended.

Rooms were nice and clean Staff was nice Good price,, But was charged extra $8 at check-in for having a car with self parking Breakfast if we wanted it, was an addional $36.+ for two of us. Always consistent. Disappointed I didn’t get a King bed when I thought I reserved.

The bathroom wasn’t fully cleaned. There were hairs on the toilet seat and the bed. Some of the wash clothes had holes in them. Other than room cleanliness, it was a nice stay!

I had a very late night due to work and didn’t check in until about 3am. I put the do not disturb sign on my door. At 6am the alarm clock in the room went off (which I obviously did not set). At 8:00 housekeeping started knocking at my door!! Why would housekeeping ever be knocking on a door that early when check out is 11am and especially when I have the do not disturb sign out?

Staycation Breakfast was extra I didn’t get it. But every thing was good. Fire alarm went off.

The only good part about this hotel is its staff. Charles (day time) and Devon (evening) are super helpful and friendly. They made our stay much more pleasant.

The bed was comfortable.The art exhibits were closed down. I wish I'd known beforehand as I probably wouldn't have booked. The shower gel dispenser was empty. Just not what I had expected from a boutique hotel.

Hotel was roomy, loved the size of our room and how we could stretch out. Pillows were less than to be desired. Wish I had brought my own because it made for uncomfortable sleeping. But hotel was quiet and in a decent location. Loved the water bottles!

Staff was great and area was good. The room was average but we ran out of soap almost immediately. The breakfast was okay.

Actually pleasantly surprising had room 125 and it had everything I needed Hot plate toaster iron and blow dryer . Most lower priced hotels do not provide a blow dryer.

If you just need a bed for the night it was ok. If you are looking for a place to stay and have your family stay, you might want to keep looking.

It was a bit out dated and there were a few crickets in to stay for the couple nights we were there. However the staff were very friendly and more than accommodating to our needs

Good place to stay for the price paid

You get what you pay for. All of these one star reviews are talking about this place like they were expecting a 5-star stay. You won't get that here and that's exactly what we were looking for. We needed somewhere cheap for a night and that's what we got. It's gonna smell like pot and cigarettes; it's gonna have chipped paint; it's gonna have a limited breakfast; and it's gonna have imperfect blankets...

Great stay! Great location! Very hospitable staff. This was our first trip and will definitely be returning. Couldn’t ask for a better pool area. Heated water as well as the ceiling heat is a great plus. Lifeguards were awesome with the kids. Met a few “regulars” during our stay and they were just as accommodating as the staff. Clean rooms with amenities as described.

Fantastic indoor pool and hot tub. Comfortable room with very large bed. And on a Saturday night, the jazz club that's downstairs was packed and had live music. Overall had an awesome stay. No microwave in room though. There was a fridge.

Dated, but comfortable. Despite having made an online reservation with a confirmation number, they could not find our reservation when we arrived. We eventually got a room of the correct type, but apparently someone had failed to manually transfer the online reservation to their actual reservation system, go figure. The location is great (right by the highway and close to restaurants/shopping). The rooms are a little dated, the bathroom is very small but the shower head and water pressure is fantastic and the water is hot. The room was clean. Staff was friendly and nice. The ones doing the daily cleaning, always knocked on my door to see if i needed anything. Overall the 10 days i was here was a very pleasant stay. Brenda was my favorite housekeeper.

There was no fridge in the room and the driveway to the motel is nothing but a ton of deep pot holes so watch ur tires!

Nice stay, cheap and affordable. I was in passing through Louisville on a long lay over and needed somewhere to rest for the night. The hotel was very affordable at only $50 a night and no deposit. The clerk was very nice. There are stores within walking distance. Had a nice stay and would stay again when in Louisville.

I wish this and all the lodging I stay in would simplify how the cable TV works for all of us luddites.

The guy behind the counter was simply amazing. I got stranded an hour away from home with a flat tire and they were more than willing to help and even offer a discount. The rooms are not bad. They are not dirty. They have a cute little tv and mini fridge

You can get a better room for the money. No frills rooms. Not even carpet. Old motel kept pretty well for the age of it. Exterior not bad. Bathtub was pretty discussting. If you're gonna party it's a good spot, at least you won't mess the carpet up, there is none.

It wasn't as bad as it used to be..... Knew what to expect before I got there so I can't say it was horrible.

Front desk staff were very helpful when we had lost all our luggage and showed up for check in after midnight. They found basic toiletries and brought them to our room. It was very considerate.

Hotel is in a great location to walk downtown on foot. There is a parking garage directly next door that is easy to get in and out of and the sheriff patrols the garage as well for safety. Typical small breakfast buffet. Parking garage is next to building with a 7 foot clearance, my 2024 Dodge 2400 full size fit with 5 inch to spare. Didn't use facilities. Staff was good in my interactions. Rooms clean, nice shower. Has 2 little vending machines and a cooler with ice cream and one with beer and some snacks in lobby you can buy. Obviously at a premium but good to have.

My only real complaint is the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great. Tons of dining options. Staff are overall friendly. Had a slight issue with one of the staff re: my check in, but we worked through it.

Probably the most peaceful "stay weekly" place I've ever stayed at! For the price you really can't beat it.

Ok. I didn't like the mold on the curtain in the bathroom. The floors were a bit dirty and there were some ants crawling around.

The room was big and spacious and nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing and the staff checked on me every day to see if I needed anything.

Kind employees and easy to get checked in. Safe area with plenty of parking. Some cleanliness issues like hair in the bathroom and a mosquito in a towel however other than those minor things it was a wonderful stay.

Front desk employees were great. Carpets in the elevator were dirty and the toilet in our room was not fastened properly to the floor allowing it to rock front to back whenever you would sit down or get up. We reported the toilet situation to the hostess upon departure.

All of the towels were stained with multiple stains. Thank god I brought one or I would have been air drying. The shower head with extension would not stay in its holder so it fell off and almost hit me in the head. The bed was comfortable.

This hotel has a cool decor vibe. Almost a speak easy feel. The staff was friendly and everything was very clean. This location is a bit of a stretch if you want to walk anywhere. I enjoyed most of my experience. Parking was a little tight. Could use another area in room for a chair. The shower in the studio room waz odd. I felt on display. I can't complain. The service was exceptional, location, price, welcoming feel, wow. I couldn't ask for much more. A boutique hotel.

The Hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The check in was a little rough because there was one lady that had to work the bar and the front desk and it made it difficult for her to be attentive and any customer. The heat and a/c unit is not very user friendly. No mini-fridge or micro wave in the room and you have to get your ice from the front desk because they do not have ice machines...

I’ve stayed here before and would again, even though this time wasn’t a good experience. The rooms are always clean and the service is excellent. One time the bed was broken and I was promptly moved. This time the heat was stuck on and the air conditioning didn’t work at all. My child fell asleep before we could move so it was like (trying to) sleep on the surface of the sun! Better luck next time

My check in was quick and easy. My room was clean and nice. All staff was friendly. I liked all the restaurants within walking distance. I also LOVED the 24 hour coffee machine with various brew selections-light to dark; and there was always a pitcher of cold coffee cream in the mini fridge! Not a fancy hotel by any means, this is bare bones basic but that was all I required and my stay was great!

I stayed for 2 nights. The room was reasonably priced. It was nice and clean. It even had a window seat. Check in and out was quick and easy with friendly staff. The location was very convinient (only 2 minutes from work). I would definitely stay there again. The only problems I had was the TV remote was very worn and hard to change stations and the handycap shower head would not stay in the top position...

The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable with the thicker quilt that we liked. The bathroom seemed newly remodeled and was very clean. Much better than other motels we stayed in. A very important factor.

Staff very friendly. But my room needed a door put back on the closet. Some stains on the wall. Bed was clean also the bathroom. No microwave or fridge in room. If your looking for just a bed then its o.k.. No frills.
