Reviews
My stay with my family was remarkable, thanks to Brittany at the front desk. She is truly a gem with a positive attitude and demonstrates wonderful customer service.
When I received my final bill at check out there were additional charges on the bill that I did not apply to my bill because the room was paid for prior to arrival. Brittany got the manager involved, Nichola, and instead of seeing the error and correcting it, Nichola went back and forth with me and blamed *******. There was clearly an error within the billing due to ******* and the Pendry, but as a customer that has nothing to do with me. As a manager, she should’ve saw the error, corrected the issue with me (the customer) and handled the problem with ******* on the back end. I didn’t appreciate the lack of accountability and lack of customer service approach Nichola took. The Pendry is a lovely hotel, the overall customer service did not match to me.
The hotel is nice but so NOISY. It is a very young area with lost of partying and limited nicer restaurants around. We got woken up at midnight 3:00am and 5:30 am by partners screaming.
NO thank you
The hotel breakfast was the worse salmon Florentine, it tasted like vineger. I didn't,t even eat my salad. 77$ for 7 breakfast was a waste.
Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
Even if you have a reservation, if you have a big group (Mind you, it was only 17), they won't seat or serve you food until a certain number of your group is there. Mind you, it was already seven of us there.
When we finally got a table and reached ten people (The number of people we were supposed to have before they started serving us), it still took a far amount of time for them to bring the food out. And we with our drinks, it took us asking several times before we actually received a new drink.
Now to the good part of the review, the food. It was delicious for the most part, especially the flatbread breakfast pizza and kale salad. I'm not a big salad person and I'm particular about pizza, but they knocked it out of the park with that. There was one downside to the food; buttermilk pancakes was one of the foods we ordered and when they were brought out, they were cold, like they had been sitting out. We had to ask for them to make a new batch.
All in all, if you're going here for a big event, don't do it because it seems like they're not equipped for large groups, but if you're going by yourself or with one or two people and really want to try their food (Which I do recommend for the part), give it a try. I just know that, that was my first and last time there.
(P.S. We were told that each person would be $35, but they didn't tell us that they add a service charge in addition to the amount they gave us. None of us mind paying a charge, but let us know beforehand when you give us the pricing.)
