The Dupont Circle Hotel in Washington

The place is well located, quiet, the gym is nice, and the patio enjoyable.

The building is very humid, and it tends to be sometimes smelly in the gym, laundry room and hallways because of that.

There were 2 power outages during my stay here (both lasted more than 8 hours), and there was little to no communication, and no compensation at all.

Furthermore, when I started my lease, this property offered 2 months free because there were rats in the building. The rats are still there, in spite of the work of the engineering team that was always helpful. However, the rent that was charged to me is actually an overpriced rent, made to accomodate the 2 gree months. And now, at the end of the lease, this amount goes up again. Someone starting a lease now would therefore pay 300 less for a same apartment.

This is a very poor way to handle business, and for all of those reasons, i do not recommand this place.

Building has a great location, but I do not recommend it if you have a car. Myself and other residents have had an issue with the garage door closing on our cars. Kele (building management) did not respond to my emails on this issue. If Kele had even responded to my emails, I would have given an additional star. The other residents and myself were unable to get any reimbursement for the damage (my damage was $1.2k). This is an ongoing issue impacting multiple residents. Further, when the garage is cleaned car owners are not notified. As a result, the rocks and pebbles on the floor are blown into cars causing paint damage, dings, and windshield cracks. No matter how cautious of a driver you are (my car previously had not even a scratch on it), your car will very likely get damaged one way or another at the flats.

I will also note that although the grills are always clean they are 75% of the time out of gas or broken. I also agree with the other reviews of the persistent elevator and water issues.
