The room was fine the noise cancellation terrible. I heard everyone & everything . Any room on the second floor near the terrace ..don’t do it. If there is an event you may as well forget it you will hear all noise from the event I.e bumping from the music

Good morning, I wanted to let you know first of all that the reason I treated myself with this room is that I lost my father last month. I really wanted this to be special, the suite to myself, and it’s been a bit of a disappointment. First of all I paid extra to have this room and I told the receptionist after check in that I had hoped for something a little bit more special, and she didn’t do anything to try to fix the room. Secondly, the room really wasn’t very clean. For example, the coffee machine still had a coffee pod inside of it and there was water flooding it and all of the tray that was holding it. Example number two is the drinks fridge is very untidy. In fact, of the three bottles of Voss water, which I was really looking forward to drinking this morning, two have been tampered with. One of them has been opened, probably refilled and closed, but the seal is broken. Another of them is half full with the seal broken and what is it doing in my drinks bin? That’s so disappointing. I tell you that because I don’t want the next guest to have to see the dirty condition of drinks that have been half open because I have to tell you that that made me feel pretty crappy. Not only that, but I don’t want to be charged for Voss Water that I did not touch. Lastly, I did tell you before I came here that I was treating myself, and that’s why I wanted to have a special room, and I really feel like you all didn’t go out of your way to make this a special experience.

Isaiah, the manager, is an outstanding ambassador for AKA Alexandria. He, along with the amenities provided and the vibe of the hotel, made this a wonderful stay.

Our room was pristine. Isaiah displays unbelievable customer care with his colleagues…along with the housekeeping staff and valets. This hotel has easy access to all the museums in the district. It will always be my first choice in Alexandria.

Great room but the deposit fee was a bit fishy to me. When I got there they said everything was paid in full and I just had to pay the $450 deposit fee for 3 nights and I would get it back after checkout but I only got a fraction of that back. I was told only after I checked out about their destination fee where they charge you for their gym…..

Room wasn’t sound insulated at all. I could hear conversations and the unit above I could hear walking and stomping. Food was disgusting. The staff were great except for the front desk who took my email to use for reasons I did not give permission

The hotel is modern and very clean. Very dark but nicely decorated. It was probably just not a good fit for us. Not a cozy vibe. Too far from King Street. This is our 3rd hotel in Old Town this year and my least favorite but most likely personal preference. Nice staff.

We live very close to Asian Wok, so it is our go-to Chinese place. The food is all very good, with the comment that the chicken dishes can tend to be just that: rather dry lumps of white chicken with the sauce of the dish.
After moving too far away from our absolute favorite place down the parkway, we went on the hunt for decent hot-sour soup. We tried all the Chinese joints in the North end of Old Town, and the hot-sour soup here is the best: it's delicious!
We really like the Mu Shu pork, Pad Thai, and Kng Pao Chicken.

Good Chinese place to eat at. Whenever I'm working in the area I always make a stop by here for lunch. General Tso's chicken is good. Lunch specials come with a drink. All at a great price

Food was good, but it took FOREVER to get it. Way too slow. The waitstaff only came by a few times to refill coffee, so we ended up sitting for an hour with nothing to drink

The service isn't the best, but i only go on Thursdays during lunch for the pasta bar and they're always busy (this may be why there's a slack in service). The food to price ratio is great & i can get in and out pretty quickly.

I have only been here for the Sunday brunch. Quite a few options available yet not always enough tables depending on what hour you arrive.
All you can eat with a omelet station and a Belgian waffle station as well, where the items are tailor-made for you by staff.
Pricing can be a little pricey for the Sunday brunch option, at least for me.
