Always great. And tonight John the manager went over the top for us. So much appreciated! Frey was so attentive. The food is great! Thank you!!

The location is perfect for exploring the dining and shopping of Georgetown. The Living Room is not to be missed for an evening of cocktails and snacks!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C. After driving all day the atmosphere by the open fireplace was so relaxing and calming. The customer service was great and our room was spacious and clean. We would definitely stay there again.

Had a very pleasant stay here. The hotel is intimate and relaxing and in a great location in the heart of Georgetown. What really stood out were the staff. They were all exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We traveled with 3 small kids and everyone went out of their way to help and keep the little ones happy. Everything was seamless.

The room was in decent condition, BUT on Tuesday night from 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM there is constant sounds of garbage transfer going on. Bah Humbug.

I’ve always loved staying at The Ritz-Carlton Georgetown—great rooms, excellent service. I had a perfect two-night stay earlier this week, but unfortunately, my recent return was a bit of a letdown. The hotel is upgrading their thermostats, which now limits air circulation once the set temperature is reached. So if you’re like me and prefer constant airflow (on low, med, or high), the system just switches to auto no matter what. It’s pretty uncomfortable when you’re sweating in bed and have to keep kicking off the blankets. This is a pretty big change and definitely a bummer for anyone who likes their room cool at night. As a repeat guest, I’m disappointed that even the basics can’t be relied on anymore.

Recommend!
Staff was amazing! Location was perfect. With our background consulting for forbes 5star hotels, it takes a lot to make us take note. This team was well trained and service oriented.

Worst “Ritz” experience I have ever had in my career. Rooms are nice but the gym and restaurant are so bad. Marriott is destroying the Ritz brand

It's pretty good. The room is not very big. The location is good.

Room was lovely. Location was great. Service was lacking. One front desk person has a less than pleasant attitude when trying to sort out a key/access issue. My main issue was at the spa. I paid $600 on treatments. I was leaving to have brunch upstairs and asked if I could come back and use the amenities for a little. The desk woman basically said no. Imagine paying that much and being treated like that. I’m used to in and out privileges.

Was here for a holiday party, so speaking about events, and not general dining, but we really enjoyed ourselves! The space was beautifully decorated, if a bit dimly lit. The view of the river and the ice rink is quite lovely, and the layout of the space offers a lot of different socializing options, whether by the bar or in groups or tucked away as a romantic couple.

The food was simply scrumptious! The desserts were stunning and delicious, and the staff were wonderfully polite and attentive all through the night. My favorite area is the upstairs corner right in front of the river, but the views from any window side location are nice.

Parking was a little confusing (we apparently went to the wrong garage), but other than that, it should have been easy to find. I would give it a 5 but the actual layout of the venue is horrendously confusing with regard to the stairs and restrooms, etc. Also it's entirely possible to be navigated to the wrong side of the restaurant, so be careful of that. There were quite a number of people (including ones who took a rideshare service in) who made that mistake.

So I come to Sequoia with a couple friends before homecoming. The view is classic and the weather's nice, but those are things that are natural and not affecting this review. The service was bad and they completely over charged me. Basically, the waiter said she could not divide the checks and we ask to then split on 2 cards. We were probably to busy freaking over how we're going to pay to realize we never even got a receipt that included the food we had ordered. 100% impossible for our order to have been that much. If you go here, make sure you get a proper receipt especially if you are not an adult and feel like you're being cheated.

We came to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday for brunch and it was the best experience for everyone in our party of 15. The service was excellent from start to finish; the food was great and the attention from the staff was great. I will definitively be going back

We came as a large party for a very special occasion, and the staff and manager were incredibly helpful, accommodating, and professional. The level of customer service was dynamite, and the food was unbeatable. Each dish was enjoyed with delight. Thank you Sequoia team for making our special night the most excellent experience! I will continue to recommend this restaurant for anyone in DC!

Gorgeous location - right on the water in Georgetown. I celebrated my birthday here last weekend with a party of 11 guests. The staff was incredibly accommodating for our large party. We went for the Saturday frozen rose brunch. All of the food was wonderful and I really enjoyed the tapas style; it made it really easy to try everything on the menu. Our waitress was awesome and continuously brought another round of frozen rose as soon as she noticed we were running low. Altogether, it was a great birthday and a great experience for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be coming back.
