Interesting hotel stay. Historic building. So rooms a little small. Quite noisy in the early morning - probably because of old architecture. Travellers who need quiet sleep environment should let hotel know in advance. Location was fantastic though and easy to walk around

The hotel’s blend of historic charm and modern amenities provided a comfortable and unique stay. The staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring I felt safe and well-cared for throughout my visit. My room was cozy, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully appointed, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city. The location is ideal—within walking distance to major attractions and public transportation, yet tucked away enough to offer a peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend the Morrison-Clark Historic Inn to any solo traveler seeking a memorable and comfortable stay in DC.

I'm going to be completely honest: the restaurant is one of the best all around experiences you could ever wish for. I've been coming to brunch on and off with friends for a couple of years. Each and every time, the service is top notch, and the food is simply delicious! On top of that, the décor is absolutely gorgeous; blending traditional with a fresh modern twist. It really doesn't get better than that.

I usually stay near DuPont Circle, but this hotel popped up when I made my airline reservation. What a great recommendation!

This will be my go-to hotel moving forward. My room is exceptionally clean and surprisingly quiet. Being an older building, the walls are thicker so you don’t hear other guests. The staff have exceeded my expectations by not only honoring my requests, but anticipating my needs.

My favorite aspect is the central courtyard. It’s a welcome respite after a day of schlepping around the city. I love all the cute little nooks in this hotel.

Updates to the room carpeting and furniture are probably needed, but the service, location, and charm of the hotel make it easy to overlook a few cosmetic issues.

We had a wonderful experience here, staying Friday and Saturday nights. When arriving, remember that the sign at the street is in not directly in front of the lobby; it is instead one building further (which is also part of the Inn).

The room was very large, immaculately kept, and we had no noise issues whatsoever.

The staff was incredibly courteous and professional. At one point, when we were walking back to the hotel after a long day and had to head straight to Maryland to meet a friend, we called when we were 15 minutes away and asked if the car could be ready when we got back. When we arrived, it was at the curb; we had only to get the keys from the bellhop.

If you are driving an EV, the parking includes charging; there are 3 Tesla chargers and one J-1772. (Note that when we arrived, the bellhops on duty were unaware of the J-1772. However, the bellhop who was working the next morning knew of it and was happy to rearrange the cars and plug ours in).

Although the main entrance is accessed via a flight of stairs, there is apparently an accessible entrance.

The next time we again stay overnight in DC, we expect to be back.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel. The ambience is amazing, with warm fireplaces in the beautifully decorated restaurant that add a cozy touch. The staff are incredibly welcoming, going above and beyond to make the experience truly special. The room was clean and comfortable, equipped with large sink areas, robes, and slippers for added convenience.

While everything else about the stay was enjoyable, the food in the restaurant was disappointing. After trying it once, I chose to explore other dining options. Despite this, I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional service and overall great atmosphere!
