Valet is a nightmare from the first day. They lost our car and I had to go up with them after 30 minutes to try and find it. I finally found it. They apologized and said that they wouldn’t charge us for the issues. I literally just got charged the full amount. They also said they would give us points for the issue and I haven’t been able to reach management to confirm since we left. I emailed them to call me and still no call. We finally got our car back after 45 minutes and me physically finding it and demanding they bring up all the Kia keys so I could finally leave.

The room was very clean, hospitality top notch, and food was excellent. I appreciated the complimentary champagne for a special occasion and assistance with bags. More vegan options would be appreciated.

From check in to check out it was a 5 star experience. We used to live in Charlotte and this is a new hotel since we’ve been there so first stay. My wife is very picky about hotels and this is going to be our go-to anytime in area again. Spotless room very spacious and such a comfortable bed. We wanted to extend our stay but had to get home. Restaurants in hotel also have amazing food and the hospitality is top notch. We went to a panthers game and otherwise just wanted to stay on property. Can’t wait to go back when have more time to enjoy property.

The staff were very kind, professional, and helpful. The property was fantastic. The room was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Dinning was excellent.

Breakfast in the executive lounge was good but they ran out of food early. The hotel was very clean and most of the staff was very helpful excellent for the first front desk attendant, she failed to mention that the mint museum was free for hotel guests. I paid $30 for entrance and didn’t need to but other than that, great stay and no issues with valet. We dined at Dean’s which was great and we had drinks at Caroline’s , both were on point.

The hotel itself was great, as were the staff. But Expedia’s customer service on this trip was the worst. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years and will likely never use this service again.

Love the Charlotte JW Marriott. The staff and hotel is very nice only downside is the expensive parking.

Honestly no communication, and was not comfortable for 4 people even though they promised it would be an upgrade.
They double charged for the spa when they were gifts from other family and friends but we ended up getting stuck with the bill. I am very disappointed

Overall great experience, the food was good but can use a bit more flavor, good drinks and lovely city views. Very friendly service!

I went to Halcyon for lunch with two friends because we had heard about the great burger they have. We were immediately seated outside (which was our preference). The ambiance is modern yet organic- we felt slightly underdressed but it didn't really matter.

We got gouda (eh), smoked salmon spread and prosciutto which came on a charcuterie board with honey, pickles, breads etc. We also ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was awesome and the burger which was overcooked but still good.

Overall a positive experience! We will be back.

I selected the Essence of Thyme cocktail. It was a delicious combination of chili-steeped tequila. Blood orange. Thyme. Violette syrup. It was garnished with a twig of Thyme and a sugar and salt rim.

The decor was a wonderful balance of organic and artsy. We had high hopes because we heard (and read) great reviews, but when we tasted our food the flavors were non-existent. For a Saturday night visit, we were not sure if it was the chef's night off, but our dining experience was lackluster and unremarkable. The hostess was friendly and professional. Our waitress seemed annoyed to be working or perhaps it was part of the general ere of cold/robotic service typically associated with a handful of upscale dining establishments.
The food presentation and the city view was beautiful. And while our dishes were artfully plated, unfortunately they lacked flavor. Seriously, it could've used some spice, salt, pepper, or some kind of inspiration! With each bite we awaited a moment of awe, which never materialized. We understand the menu changes daily and were eager to try these new creations. We ordered a dish with asparagus and an egg and hoped for something special but we were let down. It was less than ordinary at best. Sad to write we left disappointed. Again, we hope this was just a fluke and this was not the usual experience for others.
