This was listed as a 3-star hotel and I'd say that was being a little generous. 2 to 2.5 stars seems more accurate. The advertised Thai restaurant went out of business due to the pandemic. And all the other amenities like the pool and fitness rooms were closed. There are several people who hang out near the entrance, day and night. The reviews were a bit scary, so I was hesitant when we checked in. It wasn't bad at all! The Pros: The room was clean, roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel parking lot and lobby was set up a little weird which caused us to have to drive around the parking lot entirely looking for the entrance, but it's sorry of facing towards the main road behind the building with the pool. Reasonably priced. Price goes up during vacation season. LARGE pool sometimes shared with local swim team. Operating steam room. Hot tub was broken. Nice work out equipment. Overall the place is showing its age. Lots of restaurants nearby. Will get you by if not too picky or price is your deciding factor. Free breakfast was acceptable.

This place does serve free coffee and a simple breakfast (cereal, dounts, toast) in the morning which can be convenient. Free apples are a nice plus. The rooms have microwaves and minifridges

I took my daughter to Columbus to tour the CCAD and this motel was right down the road. The location was GREAT! The room was pretty clean. The beds were extremely clean and comfy!

The staff here, and Al in particular took good care of us. My wife left her expensive memory foam pillow during our brief stay, and they were able to save it for me, which saved me over 100 dollars.

It's all remodeled and cleaned up. It's really nice and staff is excellent.

Meh This place is just ok, nothing special here, I would have rather just stayed at the Hilton but wanted to try something different.

We had an amazing stay here! The room was clean and staff was very friendly! My only issue was the air conditioner in the room was very loud throughout the night. Everything else was fantastic!

Very friendly staff coffee maker could be better in user-friendly for that first morning cup of coffee I would suggest using something else

Shower could have been cleaner. Hotel had a fish smell. Walls are paper thin. Heard everything my neighbors did and I didn’t need to hear it. If you want a good nights rest this place ain’t it.

Great Hotel This is a great hotel with a great location at Easton. Have stayed there a couple times and will do so again.

Conveniently located at the Shops at Easton. Plenty of free parking. Lots of restaurants and shopping options. Hotel staff were friendly and professional.

Font desk staff is friendly. Rooms okish, needs more attention to detail. Beds are comfortable. Shower knob was broken but working. Bathroom vent needs cleaning. desk chair all stained up. Location was decent.

Great value for the cost. Bathrooms could be updated but certainly usable. Be aware of the train tracks outside the room. Two loud trains during the night but was not an issue for me.

A big shoutout to all the staff at the Varsity Inn! We’ve been coming here for over 2 years The staff is always helpful, friendly and caring. They made my brothers stay and treatment bearable! Also the coffee is awesome, too

It's just the level of an ordinary business hotel

The hotel itself is beautiful; the room is spacious and very comfortable. It's right in front of a bus stop (route#1). Very convenient to take public transport. There is a small but friendly Middle Eastern grocery shop right next door where you can get bread, milk, veg, and even hot food.

The room is clean and tidy, the decoration is of good quality and modern style, and the staff's service attitude is very good.

Great staff, but rooms are tiny. We loved the restaurant and hospitality but we had to switch hotels to get a bigger room as they did not have any suites available to extend out stay. Location is amazing, you can walk to every high end restaurant.

Staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. We were disappointed that kitchens had no utensils, dishware, or cooking pans. They had to be requested and took hours to be available because the front desk was understaffed.. I'm not blaming the person at the front desk (she was kind and helpful), I'm blaming policy and lack of staff. Also, the advertised pool no longer exists.

Nuce room. Smaller than i expected. Staff was gteat when you could find them. They had to many tasks for 1 perspn which kept them unavailable. Kitchen items were available upon request. I plan on staying again. The price is definitely unbeatable for what you get.

The staff bends over backwards to make sure you are happy. Weddy, David, Kaddy were standouts, and the day manager (forget her name) was very accommodating when a mixup over breakfast charges occurred. Quiet, clean, great location and cheaper than our usual Residence Inn - we’ll be back.

overall cleanliness good. front desk very helpful. The only negative is that the noise from neighboring room was easily heard through wall. Could hear TV, and person next door clearly which I normally do not hear when staying at other hotels.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay here because the price was so low compared to surrounding hotels who obviously overcharge. I feel that we got a great value. I appreciated that the rooms are minimalist and modernly designed and the room itself was very clean. When I got there the receptionist was very pleasant courteous nice. Then it was a problem with my debit card it wouldn't take it so she allowed me to go get the funds off the card to pay for the room I thought that was very professional and courteous of her. Basketball tournament Stay was very good. Front desk was fast and polite. Hotel was very clean and parking was close and easy. Ice machine was broken on 4th floor but other than that was just what we need and close to everything. Could walk to Texas Roadhouse and Quaker Steak.

Very clean and comfortable. There was a woman training another woman at the desk. The training woman was pretty harsh and impatient with the poor woman she was training. I felt bad for the lady. The trainer needs to be more compassionate and nicer to people she is training.

Every time we come to columbus we stay here. Always clean, friendly, and smells good. Never have any problems and they let me check in early if my room is ready.

A/C was noisy; difficulty falling asleep. Felt safe and easy to get to the locations that I wanted to visit.

Saw a concert at Newport Theater and stayed here. It was perfect. Especially if you're on the 1st floor by the pool. They have tables and chairs set up behind those room on an extend d patio. The staff was all very nice and so was the room.

Ohio Trip The bed was way too high for me. I could not get into the bed. I needed help to get into the bed. An open can of coke was in the fridge.

The room was very clean and comfortable. A lot of variety in the breakfast buffet.The staff at the front desk was very accommodating from fixing a glitch in the bill to bringing me a hair dryer in minutes after I called to let them know our room's hairdryer was missing. A weekend getaway. Staff is very friendly. Hotel has a great location. Not too far from downtown but far enough to avoid a lot of congestion. Room was nice. Only issue, closet door was hard to slide. I had a poolside room, loved being able to open the door to the outside seating.
