Rooms are comfy and clean. The bathroom was a little on the small side but it was fine! The balcony was right next to the creek, very pretty if it hadn't been so cold! We will be back!

Such a hidden gem. I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice motel this was. It has been renovated. Our air conditioner kept shutting off and the shower suddenly went to burning hot or freezing water. Other than that, it was great. I would definitely stay here again!!

Super charming older motel! We enjoyed our stay immensely. The motel has been recently renovated and was very clean and comfortable. On weekends they provide a made to order breakfast which was delicious. Our room had a balcony overlooking a peaceful stream. I highly recommend this motel for a great stay at a reasonable price!

Excellent mom & pop small motel in Gatlinburg. Great location on a small stream. Balcony overlooking little stream was so serene. Rooms PRISTINE and very comfortable. Made to order breakfast too. A perfect location for all the area attractions.

We decided to get away for my husband’s birthday and absolutely loved our stay at the Sleepy Bear Motel! The room was clean and beautifully remodeled, with a comfy king-size bed and a private balcony overlooking the water—it was so peaceful. The pool was a perfect place to relax, and the made-to-order breakfast was a delicious bonus. We really appreciated that the motel is just outside the hustle and bustle of downtown, but still super convenient with the trolley stopping right in front to take you into town. We’ll definitely be back!

For the person asking if the hotel is open, I do not think it is due to renovations. You can keep calling, but a few weeks ago it looked like they were gutting the place and doing an overhaul. I have to write 200 words for this review to be accepted, so I will add the pool has not had water all season. The hair salon has been open that is located in the end unit of the motel.

Does anyone know if the Sleepy Bear Motel is still open? I have been trying to call for weeks now to book a room and the phone is out of order. We stayed there a year ago and really enjoyed the hotel. It has great prices, a great location and it's nice and clean.

I was a bit nervous coming into Gatlinburg and the only thing available was a few motels but if I must say, sleepy bear motel is a gem 💎 in the middle of Gatlinburg. It is very clean, beds are comfy and the refrigerator actually get your drinks cold and it is in walking distance of a few restaurants, I would recommend this hotel any day. It is a reasonable price as well. The only downside is it’s a bit loud but nothing earplugs can’t help with or melatonin. We brought our on breakfast and the staff are friendly and kind. we will be staying here again! 🥞 You will not be disappointed!!! ❤️👍👏

The room is so clean the bathroom is just the right size a 2 in 1 shower the balcony gives a beautiful view of the creek there plenty of ducks air conditioning works wonderderful the pools is wonderful free ice it's in the perfect place
