Stayed here for one week vacationing with my grand daughter. The room was cleaned every day, the pool was very well kept. Centrally located , quiet at night

Stayed there on April 28th. And I wish that google would have shown me this hotel FIRST! Great customer service and the room was good for the price. Everything was excellent.

We've already booked our room for vacation in May. This was a very sudden unexpected trip and red roof was right on time with a good room and a great price. And we got to bring our dog at no additional price

It is always a pleasant experience staying here. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

This location provides Matrix hair products and a pretty decent blow dryer. If you're doing a walk of shame , at least you'll be well coiffed. You also won't be hungry, because the complimentary breakfast bar is decent

The room does need an update but the hotel is working on that. The room, overall, was fine and we were right on the ocean so we got to watch the porpoises swim by and listen to the waves so that was great!

Very nice front desk associate. The room was clean, however serious maintenane needed. The lighting is probably a safety risk. No lights in the pool its self and one (1) operable light

We had a little trouble at first, WiFi wouldn’t work, TV was not working a few other minor things. My wife called down and talked to Chris and he immediately switched our room no problem. We will definitely stay again.

The saving grace was the pleasant staff

The room had cigarette burns on the sheets, the door to the bathroom had a hole punched in it, the lighting in the bathroom was very low, there was bugs in the ceiling corners, a dirty towel hanging behind the bathroom door

I can see the effort made to improve hotel. Room size was very comfortable. Phone did not work and tv worked sporadically. Breakfast was weak but not the reason for staying. Hoping that the improvements continue

Free breakfast offered was disappointing it was just cereal and coffee

Staff was a lil bit lackluster and slightly slow. The room was nice and looked to have a few new features. The room did smell like cigarette smoke though. Overall, I had a good time and would come back if need be!

I stayed four nights over a weekend. I arrived early but they were accommodating and let me check in early. My room was very clean and housekeeping was excellent. Walking distance to shopping and great eating

The room was very clean along with the bathroom. Despite it being an older building, it is kept up and maintained. My only complaints were the towels having some hair on them and the dirty vents

she never change the bed sheets and counted every time a towel was request but only if you gave a towel back you will receive a towel. Overall not so bad,good place to lay your head

Everything was great except I was there for a week and there was no microwave and refrigerator. Heads up don't book the standard room.

Very clean and extremely comfortable!! Nice people at the desk. Offered great coffee, but no breakfast. Then again, for the price we paid I honestly didn't expect breakfast.

This is the one on 196 Ballard court in Va Beach. Every staffs are very nice & friendly. No interruptions, I had a procedure done and need to heal up. Do far I am still here and will be checking out on Sunday morning

We had our wedding here and I can’t recommend them enough. The staff is super friendly and took care of all our needs. The hotel was comfortable but it did seem a little older. Our view of the ocean was amazing.

After I saw a few roaches, I called the front desk and they were quick and polite while changing my room which was much nicer

We came while it was raining so no cute sunrises. Staff moved my room due to a loud party room. 2nd room was way better but the kid screaming every 30 minutes in the hall made it hard to sleep

Very nice place! My family and I went here when they had cheap deals, (they normally have cheap deals so it was a win-win) They have a nice hotel pool if its too hot or cold to swim in the ocean

This hotel was in a great location, close to restaurants and stores. The oceanfront room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Views were amazing with the sunrise every morning

Great hotel for the price! The view is spectacular especially at sunrise!! Oceanfront Inn was walking distance to many great restaurants and shops! With friendly staff and a good good nights sleep, it is a great choice for the money!

The oceanfront view was perfect. Parking was easy, it was in front/attached to the hotel. Hotel needed a little updating. There was spacing between the door, I could see the hallway and light coming through to the room

The staff are some of the kindest most helpful and patient people you could ever want to meet. The rooms are roomy! Great balconies, all face the water

Didn't spend much time in the hotel. I can say the room was clean and the employees were awesome.

The dealbreaker was that the mattress and bedframe were extremely loud, left our backs aching on the second night, and (the biggest problem for me) there was no sealed mattress cover to protect against bedbugs or other contamination between guests

Some minor issues (bathroom vent fan, hair dryer not functional). Hair dryer issue would have been resolved had we reported it. The staff is very friendly and helpful

The stay was great! This is an older property and the pool area as well as the bathrooms show their age, but everything was clean and tidy

I'm reading all these other reviews and cannot believe that these people had such a terrible experience! We stayed here twice within the last month and each time it was amazingly wonderful! Clean rooms, lots of towels, shampoo, soaps, clean bed sheets, wonderful and very accommodating staff! No bugs, no holes in the walls like the hotel we tried staying at first

Pool was amazing ! Breakfast was fantastic! I will never stay anywhere else when in Virginia Beach, this hotel for as cheap as it is, is absolutely amazing ! The remodeling looks great too! Small pool twenty minutes from va Beach. No bugs clean and quiet place

On the other hand, there was no bath mat or wash rag, just two bath towels and one hand towel. Pillows were not in cases and were lumpy. One of the chairs had some white stains we weren't willing to investigate

I'd probably stay again, but request extra towels

Location was easy to get to. Room was in pristine condition (and they had this cool microwave that had outlets built into it.) Spacious and comfortable. Not a single complaint.

Everything was the best I love the ocean front room all the rooms are ocean front with a bedroom a big bathroom, kitchen, sitting room and then the balcony. And I parked my truck and everything was walking distance

Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open during our stay. The ocean view was amazing! Having a separate living space and kitchenette was a plus!

The front desk personnel told me to let the engineer check out my room to see if we needed to change rooms!! Well we did now this room was dusty and black spots( look like mold was around the vents in the ceiling

There was a lot of rainfall, but my family and I woke up to a leaking bathroom & leaking in the sitting area, we were on the top floor(3) so that tells me that the roof needs repair

The 2 bedroom unit was perfect for our family vacation and the views were amazing. The staff was extremely friendly. They offer free bike rentals which was a really nice amenity and the indoor pool was very nice

Laundry room and Gym on site along with a pool. Atlantic Ocean was beautiful but cold. Hope to be able to stay again next November and December to visit my family

Overall Great Stay Queen bed was comfy and the pullout mattress did great for our 2 young kids. Loved the double balcony and the big jacuzzi tub. 33rd st cafe is convenient and has nice staff and good food

Front desk and staff at hotel are friendly and also allowed us to check in early. Kitchen was basically fully accommodating but someone left old food in the oven

It can get a little loud with the jets flying over, but would definitely stay there again

the crew was excellent room clean, and the view was amazing. only thing was the keys to the room did not work and when they reset the key had to wait for 20-30 minutes for them to work

Ourroom wasnot ready at 3 but we were able to get a parking pass at noon and head over to the Beach. Our room was clean and loved the fact that they have kitchenette rooms

The only downside was a noticeable cigarette smell in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room, likely coming from the bathroom vent where the odor was strongest

Sundial Inn is in a convenient location. When going to the beach it is always nice to arrive earlier to allow for time pn the beach

The rooms could use updates, especially bathroom. Toilet was loose and made you feel sea sick when you got off of it.

We pulled up late at night, two ladies in an unfamiliar town, and the place was very foreboding. They are doing renovations on the lobby and from the circle entrance we couldn't see the front desk, just construction

So my complaint is, if you are going to do renovation and your place looks like a ghost town, put up some signs. Could also use more signage from the road. After that everything was fine

Eventually I went to the door to check it out and after I went inside I could see the front desk and a person

We stayed a total of 3 nights, the first morning we opted not to get out room clean as the cleaning crew was ready to start cleaning around 10am, the second morning we were out early so we could get our room cleaned and came

The hotel was under construction, which can be unavoidable, but I wasn’t aware. I had very early mornings beginning at 4am and requested to be as separated as possible but ended up on the same floor as a soccer team

I was super worried because of the reviews but I stayed for a week and had no issues. Super safe and clean. I really enjoyed my stay and the staff was super helpful I definitely will be back.

Was a very clean room,not much to choose from for breakfast,the normal.other then that it was a very cozy hotel.

The room was nice and clean nothing to write home about but what can you expect with such a low price you are paying. If you want a nice place to sleep and feel safe doing so I’d recommend staying here

The toilet kept running though all night and there was no silverware or plates or anything in the room in the kitchenette. The kitchenette was a nice surprise though. And the bed was very comfortable

This was just a good hotel, close drive to the beach of Chesapeake Bay. The in-room safe was broken. The area outside could use some attention. The breakfast was decent

But if I was being picky I would say my only complaint was the water pressure was disappointing, but it’s not horrible

Delivered food to some guys looked like that were in town for work. Nice bunch of guys, decent tip... plus the place they ordered from was close by. No complaints.

I spent so many days stressing over which cheaper hotel to pick because they all had the worst reviews unless you wanted to spend $375+ a night

That being said if scuffed walls and bad paint jobs offend you then this is not the place for you. I saw complaints on other reviews about the hallways being dingy and dark. Good thing you don’t sleep out there

I would have had it no other way than to have stayed in the Super 8 at the oceanfront. Front Desk Manager Rachel and Melissa was extremely helpful with getting me and my family checked in

The pool was clean and quiet - which was a bonus! I hate busy pools so it was perfect for me. It was also SUPER affordable for July 3rd at the beach

Nice people inside was cleanish. Small dogs allowed, and pool side is only option. Next to half moon which was very nice. Inside slightly out dated but was worth booking and will again.

While we were there, there was some kind of street performers that performed every night during the week. They were entertaining but the ones that were performing right outside our window were drummers

Clean room, clean hotel, very good price for the room but it is a small room. If parking is full behind hotel then you must park in alternate parking down the street but for the price you can beat it!

Unfortunately we had to hear them perform every night that week till 10 p. It might not have been that bad but one of our windows was broken which let in a lot of more sound than it should have

The staff are all very friendly. I have worked in cleaning for over twenty years so I have a trained eye for dirt lol and it was still really clean

We had a wonderful and safe experience at Econo Lodge. Employees were friendly, helpful, and followed recommended safety protocols. We didn't go in the pool but it looked nice

We had a wonderful 3 night stay. The staff was professional, polite and sort of felt like you were being welcomed into their home. The rooms have a few love bumps, but overall it was clean

Yes the parking lot was small but they guarantee you a spot and they will help you if you are having trouble parking. The location was great the boardwalk and the ocean are right there

The free bikes were a lot of fun to ride on the bike path right next to the beach. The view from the room and balcony is incredible! Good people watching

Waking up to the sunrise with dolphins swimming in the ocean is magical. There are plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance

The Ocean Front Room was Beautiful with a Breathtaking View Housekeeping Manager on my Floor was Professional, Pleasant and Courteous. The Restaurant Staff prepared Delicious Meals for the Women’s Retreat I was attending

The Servers took care of Us like We were Royalty. The Valet Attendants were very careful and respectful with the utter most professionalism while handling my vehicle

The room is spacious and has a great view! It is very close to the beach. The restaurant is right by the sea!
