Clean room and good staff.. Though TV is not working that time.. but overall I'm satisfied

Room was clean. Parking was directly in front of the door and convenient. It’s a busy area, but this is a traditional motel, so rooms may be in different buildings. It was quiet in the third building.

It is always a pleasant experience staying here. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Everything was fine my wife and I stayed there before it’s a lot better than it used to be

Overnight Stay Stay was ok. Room was ok. Weird people moving around outside at night. And actually witnessed someone’s child try and open our car door from our room window.. luckily the doors to the vehicle were locked.

The room does need an update but the hotel is working on that. The room, overall, was fine and we were right on the ocean so we got to watch the porpoises swim by and listen to the waves so that was great!

The mattress needed to be replaced-seriously uncomfortable. The staff was great. The hotel is older and not as well maintained as others!!

This time around we were a little disappointed. The room and pillows smell funny. The coffee maker was dirty and they no longer serve breakfast. But, the location and View was amazing.

I loved my stay here highly recommend if you want something cozy and relaxing directly in front of the beach. Will be returning.

We had a little trouble at first, WiFi wouldn’t work, TV was not working a few other minor things. My wife called down and talked to Chris and he immediately switched our room no problem. We will definitely stay again.

The check in was seamless. Very nice front desk associate. The room was clean, however serious maintenane needed.. The pool.......very disappointing. Cold. The lighting is probably a safety risk. No lights in the pool its self and one (1) operable light. The saving grace was the pleasant staff.

The person who checked us in didn't acknowledge us then he never made eye contact with us, and he was very fast with no explanation of thing. The room had cigarette burns on the sheets, the door to the bathroom had a hole punched in it, the lighting in the bathroom was very low, there was bugs in the ceiling corners, a dirty towel hanging behind the bathroom door. We literally just slept in our clothes...

Staff was a lil bit lackluster and slightly slow. The room was nice and looked to have a few new features. The room did smell like cigarette smoke though. Overall, I had a good time and would come back if need be!

Everything was great except I was there for a week and there was no microwave and refrigerator. Heads up don't book the standard room.

The room was very clean along with the bathroom. Despite it being an older building, it is kept up and maintained. My only complaints were the towels having some hair on them and the dirty vents. For the price, it was well worth it.

Billiard trip Room was Clean and was in Great shape, only thing i didn't like was the bed and pillows. The mattress kept sliding on the frame and pillows was way to thin. Other than this everything else was good

The hotel is older and needs some minor repairs. The beds are amazing!! Everyone slept great. The staff is great and attentive. We will definitely stay next time in town.

This hotel was in a great location, close to restaurants and stores. The oceanfront room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Views were amazing with the sunrise every morning. The boardwalk is very nice for walking along the ocean.

Restroom could use a detail cleaning. Shower doesnt have. good water pressure because the shower head has build up. Bath tub has alot of soap scum build up that’s not gonna be removed with regular cleaning. Front desk staff was attentive and friendly.

Maintenance was horrible. Toilet did not flush. Toilet lid cracked in half and just sat back together. Tub dripped all night. Ended up leaving at 4 am due to not sleeping.

There were no food options in the building. My guess is that the restaurant is only open in season. The staff was nice enough. The beach view was lovely. The room was not terribly clean cobwebs on the ceiling and other dust all over. Some of the lighting in the room didn't work. The kitchen area was much smaller than it looked in the online pictures.

Room was very run down making it feel unclean. There were also a number of signs that the room wasn’t deep cleaned. Dirt in corners and hair in the bathroom. But staff was very nice and helpful

We’ve been coming out to the Va. Beach area for over ten years now and have stayed at the Four Sails for ten years. The units are very comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for us with plenty of stores nearby. The boardwalk and beach are the best.

Loved our stay. The 2 bedroom unit was perfect for our family vacation and the views were amazing. The staff was extremely friendly. They offer free bike rentals which was a really nice amenity and the indoor pool was very nice. It can get a little loud with the jets flying over, but would definitely stay there again.

the crew was excellent room clean, and the view was amazing. only thing was the keys to the room did not work and when they reset the key had to wait for 20-30 minutes for them to work. other than that, nothing bad to say. we would go again. the price was good.

We stayed a week in the end of the off season, early April. The first two days we had hot water, the next 2-3 days we were cold water only. I had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was a noticeable cigarette smell in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room, likely coming from the bathroom vent where the odor was strongest. Sundial Inn is in a convenient location. When going to the beach it is always nice to arrive earlier to allow for time pn the beach. Ourroom wasnot ready at 3 but we were able to get a parking pass at noon and head over to the Beach. Our room was clean and loved the fact that they have kitchenette rooms.

I got one of the renovated rooms, but the air-conditioning unit in the room was so noisy. It kept me up for most of the night the first night the floors in the reception area were dirty and full of trash. I was gone for the first day and nobody came in and cleaned my room.

Spent a few days before NYE through NY day with my wife and we wish we could have stayed longer. The place was absolutely perfect for a quiet couples getaway. The staff were so nice and the diner next door is absolutely perfect.

The stay was great! This is an older property and the pool area as well as the bathrooms show their age, but everything was clean and tidy. The mattress was ok, but not something you would want to sleep on for more than a couple of nights. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay at The Capes again, no question.

Security lock on door was broken and required immediate repair, ventilator/light in bathroom buzzed without fan actually working, infrared warming fixture in bathroom was missing a cover and the knob for its control was missing.

I was super worried because of the reviews but I stayed for a week and had no issues. Super safe and clean. I really enjoyed my stay and the staff was super helpful I definitely will be back.

The ocean front room views were amazing. The hotel staff were great. Very couteous and professional. The actual rooms were average but we didn't spend much time in our room anyway. They definitely need another elevator, the ONE out dated elevator was horrible. And the hallways and stairwells had a weird smell. I would have had it no other way than to have stayed in the Super 8 at the oceanfront. Front Desk Manager Rachel and Melissa was extremely helpful with getting me and my family checked in. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. The pool was also too my son's expertise! We loved our stay!

It's clean and cheap. For the price, clean is a good thing. The rooms are tiny. The heater/ac makes an awful sound and does not actually produce heat which we needed in April. Convenient to beach...very small rooms...double beds with only a sheet for warmth, no queen so small...loud through windows...folks working desk were very nice but for the price honestly would not stay there again.

Great place for the cost. While we were there, there was some kind of street performers that performed every night during the week. They were entertaining but the ones that were performing right outside our window were drummers. Unfortunately we had to hear them perform every night that week till 10 p.m.. I understand that it’s the off season and that’s when properties do updating. The bed sheets were clean, burn holes on the bed spread, ceiling paint was peeling, tub needed to be refinished or replaced. But the view was perfect, right on the boardwalk. Office staff was nice and I got a refund for the one night I didn’t stay.

I just stayed in the Alamar Resort Inn. I was in room 104. I really have to say for the price it is GREAT! Everything was clean. It is a great location by the beach. The beds are comfortable. The pool is clean. A great last minute find! I would stay again.
