Orion Hotel in Tashkent

Some people might like this place? I personally did not like it for several reasons. Number one, it is isolated in a residential area and there are no restaurants in the vicinity. However there is a supermarket about 15 minutes by foot away. But what are you going to eat from the supermarket? I bought some eggs and wound up cooking them in the hot water kettle in my room. There is a hot water kettle but of course there is no coffee or tea, so if you like plain hot water then you are in luck. The place is well organized and very clean, but the hallways are noisy because everything is reflective so when somebody closes a room door there's a big noise, also the walls are thin and you can hear what is going on in the next room, or in my case in both next rooms. For me the biggest disappointment was the breakfast. The day before I stayed in another nearby hotel where they had a fabulous breakfast buffet. This place does not have a buffet, you sit down and they serve you what they think you should eat, which is not what I think I should eat. Although there was a man sitting next to me who was 36 months pregnant and had no problem wolfing down the mostly unhealthy food that was served. I ate nothing.
