Reviews
The guys who were sitting on a reception desk were helpful and kind
Rooms were clean and they clean them every day
My daughter and I booked a room for three nights, calling the hotel several times to confirm its distance from Lake Charvak, as we couldn't find accommodation closer to the lake. Since we're from another country, we had no way of knowing that this was a "weekend" hotel located in a vacant lot with not even a grocery store within 20 km. Also, no one told us that the hotel doesn't accept weekday stays.
So, there were some unpleasant moments. On Monday, we were the only guests left, which we learned when we encountered the closed doors of the on-site restaurant while trying to have dinner.
Of course, no one offered us even a couple of sandwiches, not to mention that there was no urgent need to inform us about this. We'd spent that day on excursions and hadn't eaten at all except breakfast. And then came this surprise.
After spending an hour trying in vain to find food delivery in the area, I went to speak with the receptionist. In response to my comments that the level of service was in no way commensurate with the cost of the stay, the receptionist said:
1. "Our hotel's prices are lower than others in the area."
2. "It's not our fault you went hungry, as the chef took time off for family reasons."
3. "We can order food for you—you didn't ask the receptionist yourself." Incidentally, the receptionist was aware of the situation and explained that the restaurant was closed because all the guests had left, as is customary on weekdays.
In the end, an hour later, the food was indeed delivered at our expense. We had to pay for the courier's services.
By the way, there was no apology for the inconvenience. I won't even mention any compensation.
The service at this hotel doesn't even deserve a one-star rating: the towels are stained, the curtain in the room is burned through, the mattresses are hard-wearing, the shower drain is far from perfect, and the restaurant doesn't even have coffee (let alone the rest of the menu items. No matter where you look, there's nothing).
There's no housekeeping. The day after our arrival, they turned on the water and took out the trash. That's it.
Overall, I feel sorry for the guys who work here. No matter how hard they try, they're powerless to correct the management's policies. I have no complaints about the staff. They're great.
I don't recommend this hotel for its location, service, or price. This is the first time I've encountered such disgusting customer service.
But, to be fair, it's worth mentioning that the breakfasts are delicious, as are the dishes from the menu that are available to order.
I had passed a lot near the hotel and it looked abandoned to me.
We informed in advance that we need twin rooms only and we arrived at 15:00 and were checking in for half an hour as it was difficult for the reception to arrange the rooms for us ))
Working in a travel agency made us more surprised how disorganized the reception not being able to arrange a fast check in.
Anyway, we finally did it.
The hotel is excellent, so are the rooms, pool. We had dinner and lunch there and the food was delicious too.
The 1st time we had kazan kabab it was yummy, the 2nd time we had soup which was good and plov, which wasn’t as good as it could be.
Again, there was a problem with slow service… Before they served the dessert most of our group already left to the rooms…
During the leisure time at pool, we asked for Turborg beer (2.5usd) and they said they didn’t have it (though there was in menu). Instead, they offered us another beer at price that is 5usd, twice expensive ))
So, I told him, how could they not bring the beer if they know that they 220 people checking??!!!
They finally managed to find someone to go to the shop and get the beer, but it took around 2 hours, and we didn’t have much as we could have.
Another issue was, when we had wine, they brought us drinks in a dirty glasses.
The next time he brought the glasses, I saw it’s dirty drops 5meter away and told him whether he does not see that they are dirty. Since then, I noticed they cleaned the glasses each time before giving to us ))
Thus, it’s all about the management, they have to make trainings and teach these young people how to serve and work both waiters and reception.
Overall, it’s a nice place if you need just o come and overnight here. There is no walking area inside the hotel, but you can go out for trekking.
2nd stay 2025
We stayed here last year and we liked the place. They built excellent hotel nothing to complain about, but when it came to service there were flaws. So after almost a year I thought they have improved the service, but was disappointed as it was same if not worse.
Before the arrival I requested a room facing the inner side as outside view rooms are terribly noisy!
We arrived at 1030pm and my request was ignored. Moreover there was no Internet, neither worked TV…
When I called and asked to change the room to the inner view the reception said funny thing is that there was not TV, on my question why do I need a TV if it does not work.
So as complement they offered me to use 1hour of sauna, though I just needed a room with inner view.
I had 2 terrible nights here I will definitely not come back here again. When we came for breakfast we saw that there were few people in the hotel. So they could at least upgrade our room and give us a room facing inner yard, but they insisted that not working Internet was not their fault, but the provider’s. But I was the one who suffered, not the hotel, a I paid the money and wanted to have relax and good sleep.
