Babylon Grand Hotel & Spa in Hanoi

Part of our Intrepid tour of Vietnam. This hotel was clean and fairly good condition. We stayed in 2 different rooms as we had a short trip in between. First room was large and had a separate bathroom but the air condition kept failing to switch on; reception fixed the problem quickly each time it happened (3 times). The second room was smaller and had a bathroom separated by opaque glass panels which was OK but there were large area's where you could see in easily meaning it didn't feel very private. Both rooms had front facing views of a huge bank skyscraper, so nothing to see here other than office workers who could see into our room - we had the curtains closed a lot as a result! Breakfast good, staff helpful. Bar on top floor was not open, so we bought our own drinks and sat there with our group, saved some money I guess!

Nice rooms, but inconsiderate travellers may make your stay unrestful (sounds carry from the hallways into the rooms). Better food is easily accessible outside of the hotel, within walking distance.
