Hotel Villa 22 in Tirana

the location is superb within the city however i would not recommend someone to stay over there as the rooms are dirty especially the washroom, the windows are broken and the staff act like they don't know it and they kept ignoring us when we told them about it and came to check it out after an hour! the screen was not working the receptionist was not around it was just a nightmare! the breakfast offered was only a small cup of tea/cofee with 2 slices of bread!

I agree with all the previous detrimental reviews. This is not a hotel but rooms above a very popular bar. Bar good rooms not good. Suffers from a complete lack of supervision by the owners. I stayed 4 nights. On one occasion there was a full scale domestic fight taking place on the landing outside my room with no intervention by staff ie what staff. Better and safer places to stay in Tirana

🫤 Hotel Villa 22 looks aesthetically pleasing and modern. At first glance, the room seemed really nice. However, our experience was far from positive.

First of all, we were not informed that payment had to be made in cash. We arrived in the afternoon and explained to the receptionist that we couldn't pay in cash because our card was digital. He said he would call the manager. 😨 The next day, the manager arrived and insisted that payment had to be in cash. When we said we couldn't do that, she responded that she would talk to the boss.

That night, around midnight, a tall, thin guy entered our room and lay down on our bed while we were also lying down, which made us very uncomfortable. 😳 He indicated his credit card, trying to make us understand that we had to pay the hotel using that card.

We tried to explain that it was not possible to make a transfer with card details and that we needed the IBAN code. After finally obtaining the IBAN, we attempted to make the transfer, but it failed. We then proposed leaving our ID card as a guarantee, but he refused, saying he didn't like the idea. So, in the middle of the night, my mother, brother, and I had to go out to find an ATM to withdraw the money. The only reason we managed to get the money was by using another card that wasn't supposed to be used for the trip to Albania, but we were forced to use it. This caused us a lot of distress.

Additionally, the included breakfast was really poor: just a drink like coffee or cappuccino and a croissant or a piece of cake. If we wanted anything else, we had to pay extra. The room was dirty, with a smell of smoke, mold in the bathroom, dirty curtains, and a broken chandelier. The sheets and towels were old and worn out.

Finally, our room was next to the hotel's bar, and at night, the noise from people watching matches kept us from sleeping well. 😓 During our stay, the European Championship was on, so the noise and external light disturbed us a lot.

In conclusion, I would not recommend this hotel at all. 😡

They gave me a room in the basement, i didnt even know it is a possibility. The room was damp and dark and the restroom was not private- i had to leave my room to visit it. The stafff disnt seem to care, just told me basically to take it or leave it. Since i arrived late i had no choice to take it but im very disaapointed. And that continental breakfast at least the time i was there, consisted of two criossants and one sandwich- thats it! No fresh anyting on anykind on meat or eggs or nothing. That one point only comes from the fact that they brought me an egg and some tomatoes when i told i cant eat dairy. But i will not recommend the place!

I was visiting this hotel from 12-15 November a 3 night staying and had the worst experience that I never had since in my 5 year's of my travel! I was for some business work with my wife and the first night we arrived already started with the worst experience when I supposed to do the check in to take card room and do the paying because I had the payment on the arrival and the guy that work in reception asked me to do the payment and I said to him could I do it please by card! Later he showed me the card machine almost fully broken like they had that card machine 10 years from now and later he recommended me that I can't pay by card but I need to go in a atm and withdraw money in "albanian lek" because like I saw in the time that I arrive the euro in lek was 1 with 1.20 lek so make sens to do it like that even that is just 10€ in winning for some reason they felt they're going to be rich. And on top of that I need to find a atm that is international because I'm living in Germany and having a German credit I'm going to be charged another 25€ from the atm like I was charged. After we withdraw the money in middle of the night because I arrived 22:00 PM in the hotel I need to run around to find a atm. After we did the payment we go to our room and because we needed to Text our family because of our long flight the WiFi was not working every 2 minutes I needed to put again the password and log in again, this continued for 2 days of my stay in that hotel. 2. After I finished my business work in Tirana I saw that I don't have to stay for more longer there so in that occasion I find a good flight that was comfortable for me because of non worldwide flight's that can connect Albania and I needed to do a short transfer so was good for since is not a flight direct to Stuttgart. And I asked politely the receptionist girl not for a compensation or either for a half charge or something like that but just if it is the possibility because when I'm not staying 1 day more at least I can have a explanation if is a possibility that a change can be made but in otherwise I got the most ridiculous answer in my 5 year's of visiting like 7 different countries and being accommodate there. She said to me that they can't do that because they need to do a full payment of my reservation to *********** app since I had my booking with that app... Like do you think I'm stupid.. how a full payment, yes a percentage since he is advertising you understandable but not a fully price.. and I didn't ask that I wanted a fully compensation maybe yes I can give you a taxi for your drive to airport or here it is a 10% in your next booking with us or here is a coffee from us but not a compensation. 3. Usually in every 1 star 2 star 3 star or whatever star in a hotel I have been they have a card that says that don't disturb me please or I don't want my room to be cleaned and since this hotel was not just a random hotel but a 3 star should had that card but indeed they didn't and a mornin

We had a bad experience with this hotel. We booked two rooms in advanced, few weeks before arrival. A day before check in we got a message from the property that they can’t host us because they are full and offered us to stay in the hotel next to them for the same money. When we arrived we checked the photos of the room offered. We decided to stay there as it was late, we needed to leave early and the location was convenient for us. But eventually room and bathroom were disgusting and they charged the same money as for the room we booked which supposed to be nice.

I had reserved a room at Hotel Villa 22 via Booking.com 2 weeks before my arrival. When I arrived at the hotel, they told me they had given my room to someone else and the hotel was full. They had not even bothered to contact me beforehand to explain the situation although they had my number! They only messaged me on Booking.com explaining the situation after I arrived at the hotel and after I told them I will complain about them. Totally unprofessional. They offered me a 2 star hotel (instead of 3 star as they are) for the same price. This is called fraud. I had to look for an empty room as a female solo traveler in the middle of the night. In short, DO NOT TRUST THEM. You can't be sure whether you will have your pre-booked room when you get to the hotel!
